Can't see missing calls

Hi,
Using Curve 8900, Ver 4.6.1, when my BB is dimmed I can't see any notification on missing calls, (like led signal).
Any solution?

OK, understood.
My solution above will assist you with that.
And, I guess I would recommend getting a louder or longer ringtone if you are missing too many calls.

I can't see incoming calls since the update when I'm on the phone with someone. The calls don't show up in my recent as missed either.

I went through the steps as suggested.
Until someone calls through, I won't know if my swap icon appears, and I can see who my incoming caller is. I'll let you know when that happens.
Geez, I have a 4 not a 5, no wonder my phone did not appear up to date!

When phone is locked can I see the caller ID before I choose to answer?

It appears that when the phone is locked and you receive a call the only option is to slide to answer or ignore it using the power key. However, before deciding what to do, can I see the caller ID? when the phone is not locked the caller ID comes through but when its locked it does not.

If your phone is "locked", AKA sleeping, and you receive a call, you should be able to see the Caller ID before answering.
There should never be a time where the Caller ID is not shown, unless it is a blocked ID.

Because iCloud doesn't display phone information. It displays Contact information, Calendars, and Reminders. Not call history or voicemail messages.

I have the same problem (I can see me during a video call on my iphone 4s but can't see the other person). In my case, there is no duplicate contact issue...I simply can't see the other party and instead see a full screen image of myself. Help please!!

Can't see person called in video call

I have had this problem on my original Samsung Tab and now on my new Tab Pro. When I video call someone, I can not see them....the picture on the screen is me. The person I'm calling sees me but not themselves.
If the other person calls me, everything works fine. The caller is in the main frame with my pic in a small box at the bottom right of the screen.
I have uninstalled SKYPE and reinstalled it with the same results.
Anyone else having this problem? Anyone have any suggestions?

when you launch a video call to someone running Skype for Android, THEIR video does not start by default when they answer your call, particularly if they have turned on auto-answer
it is possible to turn on your own video as you answer, and that sounds like what you do
your own video can be started and stopped anytime without breaking the Skype connection by tapping on the camera icon
if this does not explain your symptoms, then we need more details about a specific example

untill i replace this phone with a black screen if i miss a call i can't tell who it was.
any idea how i can retrieve the list of 'missed calls' ?

I know how important it is to identify missed calls. Unfortunately, when a call is not answered a connection is not made with our towers. Which means we would not have any record of an unanswered call. I would definitely encourage you to implement of budone's suggestions until you are able to replace your phone. In the interim please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

In my outgoing calls list I can see phone number and person's name (taken from contacts), but in incoming one there is only phone numbers
Is there any option to turn on showing contact name?

do your contacts use phone number only or also name and surname labels? you can had as many info to any number as you like - from nickname to email or even adress, within that contact editing menu...
the other reason of incoming number not appearing may be that the caller wants to be anomymous and blocks his ID cell info and usualy appearing as "unknown" on your screen.

I had PCSuite (latest version off the web-update features) installed, I decided to click on the OVI Suite installation ...
I DL and Installed just fine, after useing the OVI suite and getting used to it i find that I am missing the "online" freatures, like incoming SMS and specially incoming calls are not shown any more.
I have E66 connected via USB in PCsuite mode, and compared to the PCSuite I could right away, before the phone even rang, see a pop-up on the screen, telling me that a incoming call is there.
I liked that feature, as you could click SMS, hangup etc .
How do I get the same feature in the "new" OVI suite ??

While on the phone, if a call comes in, im unable to see it. However it does beep indicating there is an incoming call. Why is that? Please help!!!!!

go to Settings- General- Reset- Reset Network Settings it will reboot the phone and it should be working from there. I have an iPhone 4s with Verizon and that did the trick.

You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).

How do I get my missed call notification to show in the notification center? Everything is turned on but nothing shows up.

I previously posted a question about not being able to see any of my missed calls in the notification center. I have the iPhone 4S running on 6.1.1. The notifications previously stopped working but somehow the calls started to show up. (I can't remember what I did to make them show up). However, after I went to General>Reset>Reset All Settings , the missed call notifications disappeared again. I have tried turning everything on and it still does not work. My settings are Phone> Show 10 Recent Items> Banners > Badge Icon On> View In Lockscreen On. I have also tried to set it as alerts but nothing happens. The only way I can view my missed calls is on the lock screen and in the recents tab in the phone app. They do not show up in the notification center at all. Can someone please help me?
