  • Can't see music from cloud on Iphone - can you help?

I am using icloud and uploaded all of my music, synced it to my iphone, ipad etc., but am not able to see it on these devices. When I'm at home, I see my music in the cloud, but when I leave the house it's not avalible. I have the setting on my iphone to "Show all Music"
    Can you help?
    Thanks,
    Cindy

No real reason to be confused - here is another link that might help.
    http://ipod.about.com/od/UsingiOS5/a/Itunes-Match-Frequently-Asked-Questions.htm
Music is available to download from Itunes Match when you are connected to wifi..... that's why you don't need to store it on your device.
When you are not connected through wifi then your device can't access teh servers to see what is available to you.  When you are connected you see all your music that is available.
When you select a song to play it downloads it, rather than stream it.

  • I can't see music/video files from my iPad2 or Nano on my Phillips home theatre. Do I need to covert the files?

I can't see music/video files from my iPad2 or Nano on my Phillips home theatre. Do I need to covert the files?

The problem is I can no longer back up my photo and video files taken on my phone, saved to my mac, by copying them and saving them on a USB stick or other external hard drive.
Select the photos and videos in Photos and use the command "File > Export"  and select a folder on your USB stick to save the photos to.

  • O-Suite can't see music on SD card & Won't accept ...

I seem to have to problems with Ovi Suite - Or is it just me?
    (1) Ovi Suite can't see any of my music which is on my 32 gig SD Memory Card (the obvious place for it).  My N8 doesn't have any trouble seeing it!
    (2) Ovi Suite won't let me nominate my music library location, because it isn't on the C drive.
Effectively, I can't use Ovi Suite for my music for these 2 reasons - Currently I'm using drag & drop to load music onto the N8
    Thanks
    Okama

Did you try adding watch folders from Tools-Music. Add new watch folder... Note that Ovi suite does nt support adding watch from external hard drive and other external media.
Show appreciation by clicking the kudos star :-), or gesture by typing thanks

  • I can not see music on my nano

I have dowloade music from my PC to my nano. When I plug it in to my PC I see it on my nano. When I take it off to listen to it I can not see it.

If you have iTunes purchased music on your phone and then you should be able to copy it over to your computer's iTunes library by connecting the phone to it and using the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option - and similarly to copy iTunes purchases music from the Nano. If you have more than one device connected to iTunes at the same time then you might need to select the device in iTunes for the Transfer Purchases menu option to be active, otherwise iTunes won't know which device that you are wanting to copy content from (and therefore possibly disable the menu option).
For getting the music onto your iPod Touch, connect it to your computer and select it on your computer's iTunes - with the current version of iTunes, iTunes 12, you should (when a device is connected) get a 'device' icon at the top left of the iTunes screen next to the icons for the different types of iTunes content that you have in your library (music, films, apps etc).
e.g. this is what I see for my iPad (the blue icon at the top right to may partial screenshot is the 'device' icon, which is blue because I've selected it) - hopefully my screenshot will show, but there is a bug affecting images on these forums.
Select Music under Settings on that left-hand side of your iTunes, and on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen you should be able to select which of your iTunes music to have on the iPod.
Syncing with iTunes : Sync your iPhone, iPad and iPod with iTunes using USB.
And similarly for syncing music to the Nano.

  • Can't see music on iPod

I cannot see my music on my iPod. I do not even see the "Music" folder nor any playlists. However, I know the music is there because I can Shuffle and play the music. I am not sure what I did to cause this but I just recently removed all music from my iPod by connecting to a new PC with an empty library.
I have since copied my library from an old laptop to my new laptop. I have done a Sync, as well as manually managed the music. I've tried resetting the unit as well. Everything in iTunes looks perfect. I just can't see the music.
I have an old 40GB classic (the big clunky unit).

    Hello there,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
I have a feeling this doesn't apply to older iPod models such as yours, but it may be worth a shot. Try heading to Settings -> Main Menu and making sure there is a check mark next to Music to show the Music menu on the iPod by hitting the Center button to place the check mark.
If that option is not available, I would recommend [Restoring|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1339] the iPod via iTunes. This will reset everything on the iPod to factory settings and allow you to start from scratch with the iPod.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can't see music in mp3 on mac

I have a SansaDisk mp3 player and would like to change up my current playlists...I see it on the desktop of my iMac when I plug it in, but when I try to access my music folder I get nothing. No songs are listed...just a blank screen.
Also, can I take songs from iTunes, move them to my mp3 and have them work?
    Can anyone help me?

Same problem.  Everything in my I tunes library plays fine.  If I go to "Get Info" it will show the location of the files in the itunes library.  But if you go into the Itunes library there are no mp3 files.  Wish someone from Apple would develop a fix to restore the files.
There are plenty of articles that talk about a glitch that causes itunes to erase your library.  That's is obviously what is happening to many users.
If you've like me you backed up your library without actually looking to see if the files in the folder have been erased.  So I have a back up file with nothing in it.
    Again...a fix would be nice.

  • Can't see music from CDs in the library

I had to reinstall Windows 8 on my new PC which wiped out all my files and installed sofrware. I downloded iTunes v 11.  When I copied iTunes Music folder from my old pc to my new PC with iTunes 11, I cannot see any of my CD music in the library. All I can see is music purchased from iTunes. but not music I loaded from CDs.  How do I resolve this?

I just tried importing one album manually and it worked. Apple PLEASE don't tell my that I have to import everying one album at the time!

  • I can't see my I-Cloud

Where do i see my backed-up information in the cloud?

I did not have my music on the computer.  My purchased music appeared but all the discs that I had copied into my iMatch account were not there.
I continued to grind away at the issue and was able to get things together by creating a new library in iTunes.  Seems to be working alright.  Frustrating that this piece took as much digging as it did to resolve.  Being able to authorize successfully without the files becoming available seemed counter intuitive.

  • ITunes can't "see" music on ext. hard drive....have to manually find

I have had my music/movie library (approx. 50gb) stored on an external hard drive and have been managing the music with iTunes for my iPod.
Now, for some reason, approx. 75% of my library has an exclamation point next to the song name on iTunes indicating that the song cannot be located.
Is there an easier way that manually searching file by file to show iTunes where these songs are located on the ext. hard drive?????
This would take hours and hours.
I am somewhat desperate and am hopeful that anyone with advice can't respond.
    Thank you.

I don't know if you've already found a solution to this problem but this tends to happen to me when I forget to plug in the external hard drive before I open iTunes. What happens is that iTunes automatically creates a new iTunes Music folder in the iTunes folder of your Music folder (if you follow my drift). iTunes then looks for your music there;but it's not there because it's on your external drive. It then puts an exclamation mark against any music file that it can't find there. If you go to iTunes-preferences-advanced,click change, and change the iTunes Music folder location back to the folder on your external hard drive,or,if no folder, the hard drive itself, where the physical files are kept then iTunes should update its library and find them. If,of course, you've imported files while the iTunes Music folder is back in it's default position, they will have to be reimported.Make sure 'Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library' is ticked, drag them out of the default folder to the desktop, double click,iTunes will reimport them to the external hard drive.Trash the files from the desktop when they've been copied over. Of course, there may be a simpler way of doing this but it works for me. Hope this helps.

  • Can't see music even after drag and drop

Since I was having the same problems with MM and MS, I tried the solution I saw several people post on here and have done the following:
    On my BB Pearl
    options>media card
    media card support: on
    encryption mode: none
    mass storage mode: on
auto enable mass storage mode when connected: yes
Connected phone to pc using cable then dragged and dropped music files to E: drive music folder.
Removed phone from pc but music files are still not showing up.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

when you have your device plugged and you can browser it with Windows Explorer,
delete all bbthumb.dat files in the Music\ folder.
then unplug, and open the media application. And wait.

  • Can't see music

    I use a Windows computer.
I have set the iPod for manual control, and I moved a bunch of .mp3's to the iPod. In Windows Explorer, there there. But when I use the iPod, and go to the Music menu, nothing shows up. What am I probably doing wrong?

In order for the iPodto recognize the files as music, you need to use iTunes or some other music manager such as Anaphod. You can still manage the music manually. In iTunes, for example, you would drag the tracks you want on your iPod and rop thm on the name of the iPod in the source pane.
