Updated to IOS 8 without a hitch with both my iPhone 5 and iPad mini, but now I can't see them in iTunes.
Any ideas?

  • I can't sync my iphone to itunes since I updated to ios 7.

I updated my 4S last night with ios 7.  After I did it, I couldn't sync my phone to my iTunes account on my computer.  I have 11.05 installed.  However, I get a pop up message when I plug my phone in to the computer that I need 11.1.  Anyone having this problem?  Any ideas on how to fix it since I cannot locate an iTunes 11.1?

After a little research, I finally figured out the problem.  You cannot see the iTunes 11.1 download in anything but IE.  I was running Firefox.  Switched to explorer and was able to download the correct version of iTunes.
Hope this helps someone else out!

  • I can't see my iphone in itunes though I can in my computer

My computer is a HP Pavilion dm4 with W7. I can't see my iphone in itunes though I can in my computer. I have re-installed itunes and checked that my iphone can be seen by itunes on another computer. It has already worked once on this computer and I can't think of any change I would have done since then.
    Thank you for your help

I have restarted Apple Mobile Device Service and it works now ^^'

  • Can't see my iPhone in iTunes.

This is crap. I haven't been able to see my iPhone in iTunes for a few weeks now. Not too bad as I've not needed to put anything on there recently, but now I do want to put some TV on there, oh and OS4 as well. Any clues?
    Cheers

Have you tried anything in terms of troubleshooting already?
First off try a reset on the iPhone. Hold the on/off button and the home button at the same time. Keep holding them and ignore the side to turn off bar. The iPhone screen should go blank, and you can release the buttons. It should reboot.

  • I can't see my iPhone in iTunes anymore

I haven't been able to sync to my iTunes since updating iTune to 10.xx.  iTunes does not recognize when it's connected.
    Help!

Same issue here as I'm sure everyone else is dealing with.
iPhone 5S running iOS 8.1, iTunes running 12.0.1.  Windows 8 PC  (fully updated)
AFTER downloading iOS 8.0, previous syncs would partially sync playlist (not all songs, or just the Pic icon for video files but no video files themselves and would show overloaded GB storage while syncing and stop syncing)
Recent patch seemed to fix it.
NOW after 'upgrading' iOS and iTunes, making sure Apple Mobile Device Driver (AMDD) is installed and working, updating PC drivers, uninstalling, rebooting, and/or restarting multiple times and in different combinations for the last 3 days the following: iPhone, iTunes, PC, AMDD, as well a doing every 'online' fix/suggestion I can find, i.e, switch off  WiFi/Handoff/WiFi Sync, everything the iTunes Help suggest, reset network setting on iPhone.
Currently - iPhone 'seen' on Windows, NOT on iTunes,  Can open iPhone in windows to access photo folders, whenever you plug in the Lightning USB it asks the "Trust" question were all familiar with and nothing!
APPLE-  Millions of your Customers complaints are falling on deaf ears.  This is an issue that seems to get a little worse each iOS update that affects all previous models of phone.  DO SOMETHING!  SAY SOMETHING!

  • Can't see my iPhone on iTunes, where's the normal looking screen gone ?

    Just installed new iTunes
Can't see my phone on it
How do I make it look like the old style look
Where it tells you about your phone
I also can't find how I wipe iPhone and reinstall software as a new phone

See the red arrow at the top... there is your iphone, and you cant make it "look like the old style".  Once you click that button all the info you want is there, including restore your iphone.

    help!

SyncServices has been removed in Mavericks, so syncing using iTunes no longer works (we're talking about contacts, calendars etc., not music).
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5847 -
'OS X Mavericks v10.9 and later do not use SyncServices. Instead, Mavericks supports sharing your information using several network-based and cloud-based solutions. If you want to sync your information across multiple devices and computers, you should use one or more of these methods. These include iCloud, CardDAV servers, CalDAV servers, and servers that utilize the Exchange ActiveSync protocol.'
It used to be that System and application (and indeed hardware) upgrades introduced new facilities. Nowadays the policy seems to be to remove facilities.

  • I can't see my iPhone on iTunes. How do I sync?

Really. This is so cryptic. Got music. Want to manage it on my iPhone and iPad. How hard can this be?

    Hi zedbee123,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  This article has instructions for syncing data to your iPhone using iTunes:
iOS: Syncing your data with iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1386
If your iPhone is not appearing where that article shows, then it may not be properly recognized.  This article has some steps you can take to address iTunes not recognizing your iPhone:

  • IPhoto can't see items added to Aperture since Lion update

lots of Lion issues so the actually issue may be much deeper...but.  since i udpated to Lion, Iphoto doesn't recognize any photos, folders or projects added to Aperture since the date i upgraded to Lion.  I'm talking about the "show aperture library" option.  any ideas?  thanks in advance.

the only app i know of to view the aperture library is when i sync my iphone in itunes.  and surprise, under the photo syncing tab, it is the same issue.  i see my entire aperture library, but none of the photo or projects i've added to aperture since the date of my lion update.  is lion storing photos in a new location possibly?  thanks

  • Can't backup my iphone after itunes 10.5 update

Aaargh, since I updated itunes to 10.5 on sunday, I got some issues with either itunes or the iphone - can't tell which one is the problem. The update took 4 hours but seemed to work but now the iphone is not recognized as a device and its impossible for me to update to ios 5 Automated update process is interrupted by the alert " can't backup", manual backup is not working either since itunes seems to "hang".

This solution totally worked for me:
This solution has been documented on this forum by several people, but the solution is usually deep in multiple threads. I really don't know who came up with it first, but it does indeed work.
I had an issue with iTunes.exe, APSDaemon, and AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe using 100% CPU per core. (Showed as 25% in Task Manager.)
I could not backup my iPhone and the CPU spike happened as soon as iTunes 10.5 was started on Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
    This solved it.
    Sounds stupid but works:
    1. Quit iTunes.
    2. Start an elevated command prompt (Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right Click "Command Prompt" -> "Run as Administrator")
    3. Once in the command prompt, type "netsh winsock reset" and hit ENTER.
    4. Reboot your machine.
    5. Restart iTunes.
    6. ???
    7. Profit!

  • Can't see 5gen Ipod in iTunes or Ipod Updater

Hello I have the new 60gig 5gen ipod, well a few days ago my ipod stop showing up in iTunes or Ipod Updater. I have done every thing said to do here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93716 except reinstall windows xp, The problem with reinstalling windows is that I do not own a copy of xp, and I dont want to buy it. Does any have any Ideas for me?

Somebody posted this info yesterday and it worked for me. I had the same problem and after 4 hours of trying to fix it, this worked. The problem seems to be with the upgrades of the IPOD software and Itunes. DO NOT UPDATE THEM.
To fix. Completely uninstall Itunes and the IPOD programs by using the add-remove in Control Panel. You will also need to go to your C: and delete any remaining folders in Program Files. Then reboot.
Now disable any antivirus software and disconnect from the internet. Take your orginal CD from your IPOD and load the IPOD software first and then the Itunes program.
This worked for me after much frustration. Good luck...
