Can't see my shared albums

I can't see all my shared albums in my mac's photos app. Anyone met this kind of problem? Please, help!
This is a screenshot. Its in Russian, but I hope, it looks similar to other languages.

OK. I, finally found a solution and it works beautifully for me!
Here is a repost from another helpful thread:
1. Quit Photos
2. Remove the folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.cloudphotosd/Data/Library/Application Support/com.apple.cloudphotosd
3. Restart
4. Launch Photos
… and everything works again!!
Hope, it will help everybody!

  • I upgraded to the new photos app on my mac and don't see my shared albums

I do not see my shared albums on the new Photos app for iMacs.  Where can you find them as my shared tab just says start sharing but doesn't display the previous shared albums I create on the the old iPhoto app.

Did you reboot the router too?

  • Changed my Virgin to Sky, now I can't see my Shared Drive. Why?

    Hello
Got a Seagate Central as my shared wireless drive.
Worked fine until we got rid of Virgin and replaced with Sky.
Now I can't see the Shared Drive wirelessly. Only works when I connect via Ethernet.
What am I doing wrong please?

You will have to talk to the Sky technical people about this.  As you are replacing a previous system (in effect) they should be able to confirm their way of meeting your needs.

Upgrades to ilife 08 and now I can not see my old albums or photos

DO you have any more information? Like did you lose your glasses, turn the monitor off or are you trying to look for the photos via the finder?
If the latter is the case, The basic answer is to export them to a desktop folder and access them from there

  • After iTunes 10.3.1, my Apple TV 1st gen. can't see any shared iTunes libraries!

Ok, everything was working fine until iTunes 10.3 came into the scene. Post 10.3 / 10.3.1, my Apple TV 1st gen can't see any shared iTunes libraries...

    Hello everyone
I have fixed it! The problem was that Apple TV had tried to connect to the computer so many times the Virus Barrier X6 had decided it was a malicious attack and blocked the IP address.
I fixed the connection by adding the IP address to a trusted list within the FireWall rules.
To do the same follow these instructions
    Go to Virus Barrier X6.
Click the 'Anti-Vandal' Tab at the top of the screen.
Click 'Blocked Addresses'. Select the IP of Apple TV (you can find this IP address through your router software). Click the '-' sign at the bottom of the left hand column. If the Apple TV IP address isn't listed then you have a different problem!
Click 'Trusted Addresses'. Click the '+' sign at the bottom of the left hand column. Add the IP address of Apple TV in the pop up box, select 'permanent', add any notes you want to and then click 'OK'.
Turn on Apple TV and it should all be working fine (assuming that your 'Home Sharing' setting are all on and you are connected the the network!).
    Hope that helps

  • I can not access a shared album via my iPhone.

I created  and shared a photo album from my iMac.  I shared the album with myself and several family members.  Some can access the album and for some it says "This album is no longer shared".   I did a test and sent myself the album invitation.  I am able to open the album through the email on my iMac.  However, when I click on subscribe via my iPhone, it says the album is no longer available.  The album is available - so that's not the issue.    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Julie2020,
Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like the invitation link for your shared album sometimes does not let you or others view the album. I am sure your family wants to see your photos, and I can offer some troubleshooting steps.
If you've already accepted the invitation on your Mac, first check the Photos app on your iPhone to see if the album automatically appears in the "Shared" section, as mentioned in the iCloud Photo Sharing overview.
If so, next make sure that the album is shared with your family members' Apple IDs, and try re-sending an invitation to the ones who can't view the album:
In the Photos app, tap Shared at the bottom of the screen, then tap Sharing at the top of the screen.
Tap the shared album that has the people you want to invite again, then tap People.
Tap the person you want to invite again, then tap Resend Invitation.
You can also complete these steps on your iMac by following the steps at this link:

  • Can't see home sharing library on new PC

I have a 7 year old Windows XP PC, and a brand new Windows 7 PC. I would like to move my iTunes files from the old PC to the new one, so it looks like Home Sharing is the sensible way to do it. I have made sure that Home Sharing is enabled on both PCs, that sharing is enabled for the whole library on each, and that the latest iTunes is installed on both machines. I can see the library from the Windows 7 PC (3 songs) on the Windows XP PC, but can't see the library for the Windows XP PC (about 4000 files) on the Windows 7 PC. Why can't I see the XP library on the Windows 7 PC?
Incidentally, I also have an iPhone, through which I can see the Windows XP library, but not the Windows 7 library!

OK, I'm not sure exactly how, but I've managed to fix it.
Shortly after writing that post, I renamed the libraries on each PC, and was then able to see both on my iPhone, but still couldn't see the XP library on my Windows 7 PC.
I had done a soft reset on the wireless router earlier, but I decided to try a complete cold restart - turned off both PCs, and unplugged the power cable to my router, left all off for a few minutes, plugged the router back in, turned my old PC back on, loaded iTunes on that, then turned my new PC back on, at which point some message came on about the firewall, and then loaded iTunes. So I'm syncing now - it's worked!
I guess that's another problem solved by turning it off and back on again!

  • Can't see windows shared printer

    Hi,
Just joined a small company that is all windows based. So if I want to keep using my Mac, I need to resolve a couple important issues. One of them is printing to the office printers. The office is set up to use a PC running windows 2000 connected to the printers in question. The printers are all shared by this PC and everyone accesses them through.
The problem I am having is that when I go through the printer utility and select more printers, I can find and connect to the designated PC for printing. However, after connecting to it, there are no printers visible to select for setting up.
The printers that are highest on my list are an HP1300 and HP5000. I believe the HP1300 is connected via USB.
I saw the post mentioning potential problems with the drivers and to get hpijs.
But is that the reason I can't even see the shared printers?

    drmoque wrote:

No. While you will need the hpijs, Foomatic RIP and Ghostscript software to print to the USB shared printer, they are not needed to see the shared printer.
When you opened (double-clicked) the Windows 2000 print server, were you prompted to authenticate? If you didn't authenticate, then this could explain why the shared printers are not being displayed, as you are probably connecting as a guest and this account has no access to the printers. You will need to ask for an account to use, or have one created for you so that you can see the printers.
The other thing you may need to check is if the 2000 PC is part of a domain rather than a workgroup. If it is a domain, then the account name that you use to authenticate to it has to include the domain name, such as domain\accountname.

  • Mac can't see some shared Windows subfolders

I'm trying to copy all my pics and music from my old PC (running XP) to a new iMac. I shared both the My Music and My Pictures folders on the PC, and the iMac can see and access both folders. However, the Mac cannot see all the subfolders within those shared folders:
    1. The iMac missed (seemingly randomly) 31 of 871 subfolders in My Music while I was using the Add to Library function in iTunes. It tried accessing the missing shared subfolders directly via Finder, and could not see them on the Mac.
    2. The iMac cannot see any of the 20 subfolders or 10 files in My Pictures.
All of the share settings on the two shared folders are identical. And there's nothing unique about any of the invisible subfolders within the PC's My Music folder - they just can't been seen on the Mac. I have 3 other PCs on the network that can all see all the shared folders.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

On a whim, I tried enabling Simple File Sharing on the Windows PC (I had been setting up everything manually, so I could customize access, etc.), and this did the trick. I must have set something up that my Mac didn't like, but I'm not sure what it was...
You can do this by opening My Computer, then Tools >> Folder Options >> View >> Advanced Settings >> Use Simple File Sharing.

  • Can't see any shared devices within my network, only devices that aren't in my network.

One of my students updated to Mavericks. Since then she hasn't been able to see shared devices on our network, most importantly, our Mac server that we use for file storage. We're in a protected wireless network that only people from our department can sign in to. She can however see a couple of dozen computers from outside of our network, but nothing from within ours.
I deleted the entry for our wireless network in the Keychain, thinking that maybe a setting within it got corrupted. Didn't resolve the issue.
    Any ideas?

It's worth double checking the device is on the correct network.
See if the IP address is correct for the network range and you see the correct router etc. Bonjour is a broadcast service, so it doesn't usually cross networks and subnets unless that has been configured to do so.
It could be that another remembered network is being used instead of the protected one.
If you can open Terminal you can try flushing the local cache…
    dscacheutil -flushcache
You can also see if she has 'mdns' records for your server (assuming afp is running) via …
    dns-sd -B _afpovertcp
You will need to hit ctrl+c to exit this tool.
Bonjour Browser is easier to use to see records, but it would need installing.

  • Can't see folders shared on Leopard MacBook Pro

I am trying to enable file sharing on my 10.5.2 MBP. When I do so, the other Macs on my network (all 10.5.2) can see the MBP but when you click on it in Finder they can't see all of the folders that I am trying to share. I am trying to share the Public folder for my account and it does not show up on the other machines. I added the shared folder in /Users/Shared with the same settings and the other machines can see this folder but still not the ~/Public folder for my account.
I've enabling filesharing as well as allowing guests to access shared folders (in Accounts). I've also verified that in the File Sharing configuration that I have set my account, the "Users" group, and the "Everyone" group all to Read & Write for the ~/Public folder that I want to share. I've also enabled "Share Files using AFP" in the Options area. I've even tried to "Repair file permissions" with the Disk Utility.
I was able to set up file sharing on the other Macs and I can see all of the shared directories fine from this MBP. What am I missing that is causing this problem for files shared from the MBP??

The following instructions apply to OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. I don't use Lion and don't know whether these procedures are any different in Lion.
Open the Displays pane of System Preferences. Click the Help button ("?" at lower right corner) and read the information in the Help window for background information.
Click the Detect Displays button. A preference pane should appear on each of the two screens.
Click the Arrangement tab and uncheck the checkbox for Mirror Displays.
Click the Display tab on each screen in succession and set the resolution for each screen to the highest available setting.
Click the Arrangement tab again and drag the rectangles representing the two screens into the physical relationship you prefer. This will govern how you move the cursor and your open windows, icons, etc., from one screen onto the other.
Drag the white line representing the menu bar onto whichever screen you want it to appear on.
Another option, in which you use only the external display and the MacBook Pro's display is closed, is called Clamshell Mode. That is described in this article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131
It requires that you have an external USB or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and that your MBP is plugged into AC power.

  • Printing From iBook To Printer on a Vista, Can't see Vista shared printers

Printing From iBook To Printer on Windows Vista Desktop, Can't see shared printer on a Vista machine from a Mac, although Windows notebooks find it immediately. When same machine is booted into XP the priners share perfectly with both of my iBooks, but when the same machine is booted into Vista with the printer shared etc, the iBooks don't see the printer. Other Windows machines on the newtork do see the shared printers in Vista.
I have previously always had success sharing printers on Windows XP machines with my iBooks. . However upon installing Vista on my desktop I find I can no longer find the printer in the Mac's printer setup utility. When I dual boot back to XP everything works fine, but on the same machine when I boot into Vista I am unble to see the printers. The Mac printer setup utility finds the Vista machine on the network, but the printers are never visible. Is their some secret or channge in Vista that prevents Mac's running , in my case,Tiger 10.4.8 from seeing a shared printer on a computer running Vista
On the Vista machine, if I boot into XP The printer is shared and Windows notebooks can print to it, but neither of my iBooks can see the Printers when Vista is running.
