Can't see preview in Canvas

When I try to change an Effect for my video I cannot see the effect Preview in the Canvas, so I don't see what I am doing/changing.
How can I get my canvas preview to work when making effects for clips?

is the canvas completely blank when you try to play the clip?

For that camera, you need at least Lightroom 5.2. The alternative would be to use the DNG converter, version 8.2 or later. Or, you can upgrade to Lightroom 5.

Can't see preview of .oam in design mode?

I can't see preview of my .oam in design mode. I can see it fine in preview mode, but I just see a blank box in design mode. I play, but I would at least expect a preview of it. In the tutorial I believe I saw that, so maybe there is something I'm not doing or am experiencing a bug?

Quit the mail app, launch the app again and then look to see if the messages appear, if not - quit the mail app and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps.
Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
If that doesn't work, reset your iPad.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Multicam Edit/Can't See Video on Canvas

I'm doing a six-cam multicam edit. Everything was going perfect until my hand accidentally hit the keyboard. I don't know which key(s) I hit.
Not I can't see my video on the Canvas and my multiclips clips won't play in synch in the Viewer. I do hear the audio when I play the Timeline.
I opened another clip and it won't play. Nothing will play in the Canvas.
What the heck did I hit and how do I fix it? I'm working on a MacBook. All my video is on an external G Drive connected with a FireWire 800 cable.

What a relief. I'm an hour into this 90 minute musical. I was dreading having to start again.

Can't see preview for Themes?

I am trying to create a new theme but I can't see what it looks like. When I launch Settings and look in the Themes box all I see is the Adobe Presenter loading screen. Does anyone know a fix for this?

How can I see preview images of STN files in CS4?

I save many of my art files as STN (Genuine Fractals) files so I can print on demand at various sizes. I used to be able to see tiny preview images of these files; now, using CS4 32-bit or 64-bit with Windows 7 64-bit OS, all I see in my STN folder is little blank page icons - no images. I have descriptive filenames, but still - it would REALLY help to be able to quickly scan the images for the one I want to open in PhotoShop. I used to be able to see these preview STN images. Help??

Theoretically, to see Sting format (.stn) thumbnails, you'd have to get a codec from the OnOne software people and install it into Windows Explorer as a shell extension. This has nothing to do with Photoshop.
I know of no such codec available, at least not for .x64 systems (64 bit Explorer). I haven't seen .stn thumbnails for a long time, and I currently have their Perfect Resize 7 product.
But it seems to me that a long ago when I used a 32 bit OS there was a time that I could see .stn thumbnails. Perhaps they once provided a 32 bit codec with their product, or I had a 3rd party codec that understood the format.
It would be a great question to pose to OnOne Software. If you do, please report back here what they say.

Can't see video in canvas window on my video Monitor!

I am having trouble seeing the video that is in my canvas and viewer Window on my video monitor. I Have firewire in to my DV Deck and S-video into my monitor. I can see when I play back at DV tape and everything digitizes ok so I know the firewire isn't bad. I have checked the Audio/Video settings and everything seems right with what the manual says to have. Am I missing something somwhere?

Define "trouble." Can you not see it, or its it just difficult to see? Do you see it only when the playhead is paused? Have you checked to make sure View->External Video->All Frames is checked?

Can't see video in canvas

I'm pretty new to this, so I appreciate any help in advance.
I have imported a clip. I can see it and hear it fine. I've made in & out edit points and can drag it around (copy it etc.) on the timeline.
But here's the odd thing... I can hear it when the and it appears in the timeline but NO video shows on the canvas - only audio...
I have no idea what's up.

Tom- thanks for responding and sorry for the typo... (ugh) I think I was maybe a little frustrated.
I imported the clip from my camera using Capture All (it was just a small 40-second clip, just to test that I had fixed the problem I was having with synch -- needed to re-set to 16-bit vs. 18-bit or vice versa.)
The weird thing was that when I cut the clip down and brought it over into the canvas, I could see that I had put the clip in the timeline and when I'd hit the space bar to play it, it would appear to be playing in the timeline and I could clearly hear the audio, but I could not see the video in the canvas.
In the end, I just re-started the program and re-did the edit and everything worked fine. I'm not sure if I wasn't making the edit right, or ??? Like I said, I'm still really new to this program and I think I may have missed a step. I don't think it was a computer or camera error, more an operator error.

With finder open, click the finder menu in the upper left, to the right of the apple. Then click preferences. Have a look there on the general tab.

Can't see previews on import

Hello everybody,
I was just getting started to import photos into lr3. I did a couple of tests and it worked fine. the third time i hit the import button picked the folder LR3 shows how many files are their but will not show me the previews. it worked fine the first two times but the third time is not the charm. if I hit the import button it will bring in the files then show me preivews of the files. i can then use them as normal.
Does anyone know what I may have done to cause this or has anyone else encountered this problem. All I see in the center work area is a grey screen.
2- do any of you know how to delete a unneeded catalog from lr3?

Can't see preview images

I went in to do some general editing today and I cannot see any of my images within Aperture 3. When I scroll over the projects to the left-hand side of my screen the number of Versions which are supposed to be within each project are shown, but the actual image previews are not...
I didn't make any setting changes, etc. since the last time I was in Aperture when everything was working fine.
Any ideas on how to make these preview images viewable again, without rebuilding my entire library?

Does this persist after closing and relaunching Aperture?
If you have to force quit Aperture, you might have to open it, close it successfully (without intervention), and open it again.
This happens to me regularly, but once I get Aperture to close properly, it goes away.

Can't see preview panel in Word 10.8

I have a new iMac running OX X 10.8.5. I did not transfer files from my old computer (too many old files!). In mail, I don't have the third column that shows the full message so I have to double click to open and read each message. I've looked everywhere for how to establish this message viewer pane or column to no avail. Can anyone help?
Also, I've tried switching to Classic View and back and that didn't work.

I am having the exact same problem on my MacBook running 10.8.5 and it is really annoying the crap out of me. My iMac running on 10.9 does not have this issue though. I think it should be a preference option and not the system, but I just can't figure out how to get my email message viewing pane back! Anyone has a solution?

Photoshop CS5 - Can't see anchors or path outlines. If I zoom in or out, they appear.

Since installing CS5 on my PC, I've been having a SUPER annoying issue.
When I do a free transform, draw with the bezier pen tool or anything where you want to see anchors & path outlines, they are invisible. They are in fact present b/c:
if my mouse hovesr over an anchor point (by chance or my estimating where the anchor points are) the mouse tip changes
if I zoom in or out, then everything shows up (anchor points & lines)
Right after I zoom in or out, if I then make a change to an anchor point (drag it or pull it's handles) those changes don't happen live. As in, I can't see/preview what I'm doing/moving. I have to do it, let go, & then zoom in (or out) just to see the current state of anchors/paths.
It's totally unworkable & I don't know how to resolve. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
I'm hoping it's some little setting that I'm just oblivious to...

They should stay visible. They do normally. You know that with one of the pen tools selected you can ctrl-click on a path to make the anchors visible, right?
But they should stay visible during a zoom operation.
It's possible your video driver isn't implementing OpenGL properly. First thing to do is try temporarily disabling OpenGL to see if the problem clears up. Go into Edit - Preferences - Performance to do this.
Even if this doesn't correct the issue, it's almost always a good idea to visit the web site of the manufacturer of your video card and see if they've released newer video drivers for your card and version of Windows.

Numbers doesn't have pages. It has a canvas that holds objects such as tables and charts.
Drag the objects from the bottom of the canvas onto the white space above. That will reduce the number of "pages" (sheets of paper) that will print.
