Can't see Reporting Agent in Administrator Workbench

Hi Team,
I cant see the reporting agent in administrator workbench window in BI,
I am using SAP NetWeaver BI 7.0 via transaction rsa1.
kindly let me know are there any settings which would make this reporting agent avaiblable?

Can't see reports scheduled by others

I noticed today that my users and I can't see reports scheduled by each other. We apparently only see reports scheduled by ourselves. Is there any way to allow all users to see all scheduled reports?

Scheduled reports can be viewed only by the person that has scheduled them and that is by design. One way to enable other team members to see the scheduled reports, would be to add their email addresses in the delivery contact list for notification emails.

Can't see Stream Files in administration console !!

I have created a new Directory called "mydir" into the
Application Directory Of Flash Media Server.
I copied my "mydir.flv" file into ths directory.
But :
Problem 1 : I can't see this file in the Stream Section of
the Administration Console.
Problem 2 : I can't access the adress :
rtmp://localhot/mydir/mydir.flv
Please, help me since I must have forgoten some essential
steps in my Server Installation process.

The reason you can't see the streams is because they only
show up when they are being accessed (played) which is probably the
dumbest thing ever. Anyhow, as for the URL not working, not exactly
sure why, but I know this is dumb, you have a typo: rtmp://localho

Can't see "Reports" icon in Team Explorer

Hi All,
We are using TFS 2010 and report services configured already.
We uploaded a new process template "ProcessTemplate A" in which <Reports> section disabled. Created team project "Project A" and we know that we can't see the reports section in Team explorer for this team project.
Recently in the same process template "ProcessTemplate A", we enable <Reports> section and uploaded it and make it as default. Now created team project "Project B" and now we can see "Reports" section under Team Explorer.
But still we can't see the Reports section under Project A. How can we see it? can we see or not? if yes, what are things to change.

Based on the description, seems the result is expected. The existing team projects which created by process tempalte that has Reports disabled will not able to get reports even you enable the Repoorts in process template. But the new created team projects
have the reports. Thanks for your understanding.

How to see Reporting Agent Package Deletion Logs?

Hello, it seems that someone deleted some of our existing reporting agent packages in our production system. I am trying to figure out how to see the specific log for this deletion, does anyone know how/where to find this information?

That will only give me the execution/activity logs. I need something more along the lines of an object deletion log. For example, like when a request is deleted from a cube or an InfoObject is deleted.

Can't see Report Layout in IE

Hi All,
When i am executing the report in report designer, the report is executing but cant see the layout of the report in IE . I can see all tools and options except report layout at portal and even i m not finding any error msg also. plz help in this regards.

1) Are you facing the same problem with any other reports you format on report designer ?
What changes have you made to your report output?
Report Designer is a new feature of BI 7.0 and I know only the theory of it. You said you have checked with WAD..have you tried using this report which is having problem in WAD as 'Report Web item'?
There might be a setting that you need to do in report desginer or there is some additional installation to be done in order to support Report Designer (remember this is a new feature so even Basis or Protal teams are new to it!)

You execute the report in the portal (Web). The report is displayed in the standard Web template for reports. You can set the standard Web template for reports in Customizing for the standard Web templates at SAP NetWeaver ® Business Intelligence ® Reporting-Relevant Settings ®BEx Web ®Set Standard Web Templates ® Enterprise Report.
You can also create a print version of the report directly in the Report Designer. The report is converted into a PDF document, which you can then print.

Integration

This Web template is set as the default for displaying reports from the Report Designer in the SAP Customizing Implementation Guide under SAP NetWeaver ® Business Intelligence ® Reporting-Relevant Settings ® BEx Web ® Set Standard Web Templates ® Enterprise Report. The standard Web template contains three pushbuttons, Information, Send and Print Version, and the link Filter to call the filter pane.
You can copy this Web template to make changes and set it as your new standard Web template for reports in the IMG. Note that to activate the changes in the SAP Reference IMG, you must start the J2EE Engine.

New problem -- My java code can't see my CLASSES from Mapping Workbench

I am VERY new to TopLink......
I was at the last Oracle Developer Days in Northern Virginia. Donald convinced me and my co-workers to use TopLink for our upcoming project. I have been having tons of problems getting it to work correctly. Maybe I need a TOPLINK license plate, like Donald!!!
Here is my newest problem. I can create a DatabaseSession, login to it, write a query and log out of it.
However, I can only do this if I remove my classes from the Mapping Workbench. As soon as I add even one class to the Mapping Workbench......I get an error as follows:

Can anyone tell me where I need to put my class files so the java code can see them via the ISR.xml deployment file.

However, I did try to implement that yesterday.
When I add the "getClass().getClassLoader()" to the "XMLProjectReader.read" call, the codes loses site of my project (.xml) file.
Here is the new line:

Here is the new error:

Can only see User Management in Administration Tools

I configured an LDAP realm and included the required admin group to access

Can only see reports with Consumer Role

Hello. i am setting up shared folders for multiple LDAP groups. Regardless of the group, a user can only view a folder if i grant "Open" to the BI Consumer Role. We will be setting up shared folders for each department and would like only members in that dept to see the folder.
New Role: Warehouse (Only Member: LDAP Warehouse Group)
in the /em --> application policies, i did a create like on the BI Consumer policy and assigned the Warehouse role as the grantee.
Is there something else i should be doing?

Can't see Reports in Hebrew through IE

No problem exist when user do "View output" .
The hebrew is fine when user do it on line.
Only when he save it to PC , the Hebrew is destroyed. User must SAVE the output with MS-DOS encoding format, and open with Firefox , choosing IBM-862 encoding. In IE 6+ the saved file is not display Hebrew in any choice.
For politics reasons our company does not use Firefox browsers in production.
How can we open this reports in IE?

Can't see computers in Q administrator

I found a video tutorial on how to set it up which I've followed. However only my main machine shows up in Qadministator and not the other machine (connected via ethernet)
Any suggestions please?

Interesting, so the only way to have all machines running/showing up in Qadministrator or the Cluster for compressor encoding is that they all must have the same version of Compressor - no mix-matching?
I ask, as to verify as I think this might be the reason why I am not seeing all the same machines on the Qadministrator window after system upgrades. We have five machines where they all used to run FCS2 and Qadministrator saw all the nodes fine. We recently upgraded two machines to FCS3. And after the upgrade, Qadministrator is only showing those two machines, and the remaining three are not showing up in the list.
Must be due to the version difference between Compressor that comes with FCS2 and FCS3, I take it?

Unable to see report

I had one strange issue.Willbe greatful for some inputs.
User is using one report.He sees report in .NET application which fetches data from BW.The report is based on one BW query.
In BW query,we are using one characteristic SALES_ORG which has hierarchy SALES_HIER_2000 activated on it.User belongs to node 5000 in this hierarchy.We have a hierarchy node variable on this characteristic in Global filter area.This variable has a default value of 100 which is higher level node in SALES_HIER_2000 hierarchy.so when ever query is run,the variable is input with this top level node.But I think our user roles are built in a way,that users can see only their hierarchy nodes data.In our users case,he can see only 5000 hierarchy node data to which he belongs.
Then the hierarchy is changed to SALES_HIER_3000.My user now belongs to hierarchy node 8000 in this new hierarchy.So this new node 8000 is included in his role so he can continue seeing reports.Just to make a point here,this 8000 node also comes under higher level node 100 in new hierarchy as in old hierarchy.But the problem is,he is unable to see reports.
I noticed that in our query we are still using same hierarchy node variable.Do I need to create one new hierarchy node variable as we are using new hierarchy eventhough both old and new hierarchies are on same characteristic SALES_ORG.
Also,I noticed that in this old variable which we are still using,we have default value 100 from old hierarchy.Do I need to change this default value eventhough in new hierarchy also,100 is the higher node to which new user's node 8000 belongs to?..........
what can be the reason that my user is unable to see reports?Please advise.

Perhaps I was not clear in my original help message. When the report is run from within report builder, there is no footer in the report. However, when the same is run from the application, one footer is printed. How to change this footer is the problem.

Reporting Agent

We are trying to implement Reporting based on precalculated web templates. the underlying query has variables e.g. Fiscyear-1. If I don't use any variable in the query, i receive a result using a controll query.
As soon as a put such a variable in i receive a short dump when running a package. How can I handle such variables / or variables in general by using a controll query ?

Hi Richard,
you can create reporting agent with set of variants (if needed). U can schedule the reporting agent indepedently or you can set inside a process chain so that the pre calculation will be triggered after data load.
In 3.5 you have the option to fill the OLAP cache if available option. Select that option after enabling the OLAP cache.

Can not see the report in report manager/admin tab

in 8.49 on Win 2003 some users can not see the reports in report manager/admin tab. PS user can see them.
Should we add some grants in user profile ? Which ? Any query to compare that user profile with PS ?

On the administration page, you will be able to see "View Reports For" header on the top.
Under that header you will see the following fields:
User ID/Type/Last/Status/Folder /Instance
Above values will be used by PeopleSoft to filter and display the list of reports
If the user has selected Status as Processing and saved the page, PeopleSoft will only show reports which are in Processing status.
If user runs a report and it has been posted, it will not show up in report manager coz the filter value is set to Processing.
Hope this helps. I dont think Permissions has anything to do with this since user is able to view the page.
