Can't see some pictures!! I think JPEGs

Hey guys!
I just got my MBP this past Monday and am having trouble with Safari.
I can't load pictures and I think they're JPEGs. I can load some but like two if the page has maybe 25. People who are familiar with the facebook, I would look at my list of friends and only maybe 5 pictures out of a list of 50 will show.
I have read other threads, saying to go to the preferences, did that. I also downloaded the Combo for intel.
Please help me out guys!! Thanks in advance!!

What about when I reload, but I lose some of the pictures that I had accumulated through previous reloads?
I dont think it can be my Internet connection bc everything else works on this computer as well as the other computers I have here. Hey I'm from Texas too!
The server should be ok, unless it has a problem with my computer, bc it works elsewhere.
this is so frustating... I just got this, my first apple, and i've been having this problem as well as iChat problems.

Im running itunes on a Windows 7 machine. When i try to sync some picture folders using itunes i can only see about half of my folders. Any idea why? Thanks.

Press Ctrl-S to turn on the sidebar. You should be able to explore the content of the device as you did in previous versions of iTunes.

You should get the mobile version of YouTube which sends Firefox a notice to open it in the YouTube App. That will have a much better playback experience than running Flash in the browser.

  • Why can't I see some pictures in my library when trying to export?

Why can't I see some pictures in my library when trying to export?

Honestly, it's a bit hard to say.  No need to be quite so stingy with information.
As a conundrum, I'd guess that some of your images have off-line Masters.  Aperture cannot export images with off-line Masters.

    Hi guys,
When I open some messages in Microsoft Outlook 2003 I can't see some parts of the message body. This is very vague. What does 'some messages' mean. What is different about these messages compared to the other messages that do work e.g. size, age, attachments, forwarded, replied, application that sent the email (e.g. webmail/another email client), MIME structure etc.
What does 'some parts' mean? You cannot read the text/html/attachments/multipart alternate parts etc?
With Outlook Express is all ok. We use Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.2 (built Dec 2 2004) with Messaging Express as webmail. This is clearly an old version. What OS are you running (please supply ./imsimta version output in future)?
There are known bugs with Outlook handling of certain emails that we output in earlier 6.2 releases e.g.
bug# 2129307 - "Outlook is unable to display all content in replies from IMS that contain nested"
The same problem is happening with Internet Explorer 6 and 7.Not sure what this means. IE is a web-browser not an email client.
I don't know how to get out from this problem beacuse 50% of our users use Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook.I would suggest step (1) is to patch your messaging server installation.

  • I can only see some of the info (e.g. the email Facebook gives you) for some friends in Contacts. I can see everything for others. Their b-days aren't listed in my Contacts (but these friends have their B-days on their profile on FB). Can anyone help?

    Hello,
I can only see some of the information of my Facebook friends in my Contacts. For example, a friend has a birthday today. I received an email that she and another friend have birthdays this week. I received a notification on my iPhone and iPad that her birthday was today. It was never displayed in my Notification Center or Calendar beforhand, like it's displayed for other friend's (for other friends, it's displayed in the Notification Center, with the Calendar icon, 1 day before). I looked at every setting I could think of and the Help pages on Facebook. Nothing is working. My friend with the birthday today has her birthday openly listed on her Profile information on her Facebook page. In my contacts, her Facebook email (the one Facebook assigns you when you join) is listed. However her picture and birthday are not listed. I displayed my Facebook Contacts only, and roughly 20 showed up and not the rest. It's like the devices are not recognizing those people and putting their information in the respective places. I have an iPad 3rd Gen, iPhone 5, and MacBook Pro (purchased in January 2013. I hope that helps) and ALL the software updates are current. Can anyone help? Also, my MacBook cannot access my Contacts from Yahoo. Despite my typing in the correct password repeatedly as well as deleting and adding the Yahoo account again. I'd be grateful for any and all help. Thank you.

Step by step, how did you arrive at seeing this agreement?

  • Can't see full picture in photobook only the thumbnail on page view

I made a photo book of my wedding and everything looked good. Then one day i opened it up to look at it and order the book and now all i can see for one of the pictures is the thumbnail at the top of the screen. It does not show up in the main view of the book and if i double click on the picture it goes to full screen and i see it for a split second then it dissapears to black. If I do a preview of the book that whole page of the book just shows up as a blank page.

What has happened is the iPhoto database file has been damaged/corrupted somehow. It can happen if the user has renamed or moved any files or folders inside the iPhoto Library from the Finder or if there's been some sort of interruption while iPhoto is writing to that file. Since you're already tried rebuilding the library unsuccessfully, I believe your only option is to create a new library and import the Originals folder from the old one as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the rolls from the original.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same rolls as the original library. However dates on the rolls may be different but can be edited as you would the roll title.
Once this is completed you can delete the Originals folder from the desktop and the iPhoto Llibrary folder. If desired, you can keep the older library folder to try other fixes on it.
In the future I recommend you make a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto file after each import and after doing a lot of editing and organizing in the library. Then if you experience a similar crash all you need to do is replace the damaged database file with the backup copy and you'll be back to the same place in the library as when you make the backup. See the tip at the end of my signature.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • IPhoto suddently can't see my pictures...

I've hunted around the forum a bit and haven't found a question that fits my situation.
Yesterday I launched iPhoto and found that the application wasn't showing most of my photos. My library which normally has 3,000+ pictures was only showing 800 or so (all some of the first photos I imported) All my albums are there as well as the books I created, just no photos in any of the later albums. Interestingly, the thumbnail page images of the books I created show the pictures, but the edit screen shows gray blanks.
I tried rebuilding my libaries - no luck.
I tried one of the recommendations to move my library file to the desktop and reimport my images (I didn't describe this right, but it is one of the commoon recommendations) and I must not have moved the right file, because I did not see the same file options when I option clicked that the screen shot showed. The file options were the same as any other file.
Help! I have dozens and dozens of albums and I'd hate to have to recreate them all - especially if I am dealing with a corrupted file to begin with!
This occured just after I edited a photo and bought cards. I seem to remember the application having a hard time quiting and having to force restart.
    Thanks
    -Peter

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Have you run Disk Utility and verified the hard drive? It sounds like it may be something more than just iPhoto causing problems but a disk problem. If the verify indicates repairs are necessary you'll have to boot into the system install disk that came with you Mac and, in the first window after the language selection window, launch Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
How much free space do you have on your boot drive?

  • Can't See My Pictures--Just Empty Boxes

I just did a download of new pics from my camera to iPhoto. Somehow during the download I can't see my pictures in my library or in my albums. Just empty boxes show up. The count of the number of pics is accurate for both the albums and the library.
I restarted my computer, and rebooted with no luck.
I did a reboot holding down the "apple" and the "alt" key, and followed instructions, and still no pictures.
Any ideas of what I can do?

    Danny:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What do you see in the library, empty thumbnail spaces or empty edit windows? Is it all the photos or just some? Check in the Originals folder to make sure you have the full sized image files in the subfolders. They should all be there. Also do you have folder in the iPhoto Library folder titled "Recent Imports" or something like that?
Do you have a backup copy of the iPhoto Library folder or the iPhoto library database file, Library6.iPhoto?
If not and since you've tried rebuilding the library with no success you're going to have to start with a new library and import the image files from the Originals folder of the current library. Here's how:
Creating a new library while preserving the rolls from the original.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.

Then if you experience a similar crash all you need to do is replace the damaged database file with the backup copy and you'll be back to the same place in the library as when you make the backup. If you have a recent backup copy of the library post back and we can go from there.

As they are of my son :'(, I think I might of deleted a media loader but can't be sure I have 1 left in my device folder if this helps, would be greatful for any advice

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
You can try to do a full back up of your device using the BlackBerry Desktop Software including Building Media Storage if the option is there in order to see if that transfer that information to your computer to be able to save it there.
You can also try to synch your pictures & Videos using the BlackBerry Desktops Software to your computer.
You can try to take out the Battery wait then put back in & try to see the pictures or videos if there are on the device & was not deleted.

  • I can't see some files in web

I can't see some files, or videos, in web, I can't download adobe player

Well, I don't know what the problem actually is in the first place, it should work as is, I think something is messed up with the present driver and replacing it would perhaps get around that problem.
It seems like I'd be adding one more layer of complexity to the Vista machine...
Not sure how the Vista machine is involved in this, since these are drivers for the Mac.
Though to involve the Vista Machine, One option not mentioned yet is MacDrive for you PCs... allows them to Read/Write HFS+...

    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
    Missing tracks
Typically this can happen because a file or folder is accidentally shunted to the wrong location. iTunes can also get confused if it expects to be talking to an external drive which isn't there. If will often reset the default media folder location and may have trouble finding files in the old folders.
Select one of your tracks that is missing in action. Press CTRL-I to Get Info. Cancel when asked to try to locate the file, then look at the location given on the summary tab. This where iTunes thinks the file ought to be? Now find out where it actually is. Post back the two locations for comparison. I should be able to give you some steps to reconnect everything once I can determine which of the things that might have gone wrong is most likely in your case.
When you get it all working make a backup!
