Can't see the text!

Just installed Pages from iWork08. I start a new document, and I can't see the cursor or any text.
After I type something (maybe it's white on white?), I can highlight the text (which comes out white with a light purple background), so it's there. But I can't change the color to anything meaningful. The format bar says I'm typing black on a white background, but no matter what I do, I get (I'm guessing) white on white.
I have a version on my laptop at home that works fine. What's wrong with this picture??

A software update was the fix. Sorry for the confusion.

Both the Project and Metadata panels in Premiere Pro have a Metadata Display dialog that allows you to select which metadata properties are displayed. To access this dialog, right-click the panel's tab and select Metadata Display.

Where can we see the text corresponding to a TDNAME and CLUSTID of STXL table?

I can see only CLUSTID for a TDNAME in STXL table,but I need the corresponding text and in which other table this text is stored,

got my answer
import tline to rt_lines
     from database stxl(tx)
          client   rt_client
          id       stxl_id
the fields of structure tline cannot be seen physically in any table.
Here the id - stxl_id forms the key of table stxl.
So against this key we are exporting the data clusters in database tables and application buffers of the shared memories using below code first
export tline from wt_lines
       to database stxl(tx)
          client   wt_client
          id       stxl_id.
Finally we are importing that data using import statement into rt_lines which we exported earlier from wt_lines.
In stxl(tx) the tx value corresponds to RELID field in STXL table

I can't see the text

Hello,
I was able to see the text while typing it in, but later could not see it. Then when I tried adding other text boxes I could not even see that text while entering it.
-I have examined the text settings (i.e. subscript etc) and "use smart quotes" and "show font names in English" are the only items selected.
-I can still move the text boxes around.
-I noticed that the text is visible when I choose "2 views or 4 views"

Regarding a slightly different topic, would you mind taking a look at the attached screen shots? I would like to know what the white box is called so I can learn more about it. I have no idea why it is there and wonder why it has the power to cover some of the text. I don't think it is a layer, is it?

I can`t see the text I`ve entered in messages

I have the issue that I`m not able to see the text I`ve enteren in messages on my mac in the "ballon"-pane above.
I`ve deactivated and reactivated the accounts setup and also did some reboots in beween.
Do somebody has an idea?

That is a bit of a sledge hammer approach.
Many of the "iChat" ones don't even apply.
I would start with the com.apple.ichat.plist itself (it holds the Fonts and Style and Colour choices)
It also hold many other settings made in the Preferences and some Menus which may need resetting
After deleting it restart Message/iChat
The items in 2) don't hold Font, Style or colour (they tends to be incoming iMessages from iPhones that cannot not choose font or colour in the first place)
If deleting ichat.plist does not work then I would delete the IMAgent one.
Restart the computer this time as IMAgent starts when the Computer does.

Can't see the text of any e-mail received after ios4 upgrade

I can see some text whent it is listed, but i can't see it when I open the e-mail. Can anybody help me?

This just happened to me this morning during my commute. I read about 10 of my e-mails fine, but when I went to the next unread e-mail, the body of the e-mail was blank. I changed the preview to five lines and could see some of the text in the preview, but when I opened the e-mails, the body and subject lines are blank. It's been weeks since I upgraded to iOS4, so I don't know if it's related or not.
When I get home tonight, I might try resetting the iPhone.

I dowload the Cirrus Sample (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/cirrus/samples/), then tested that with my friend. But I couldn't see the video and text message. But my friend saw that, after refresh browser, we both can see all. I tested several times with different computers, but it has still problem. Any clue will be greateful, thanks a lot in advance.

HT5295 How can I see the transcript text? It does not show it.

I get podcasts from the RN site. All of them are transcripted for ease to the user to find names and review the contents. The old application showe the text on top of the artwork as a transparency and you could scroll as with any other text. Since the update to iOS6 and to the podcast app I CAN NOT SEE THE TEXT!!! Is your system 64bit? That's part of the minimum requirements for Premiere Pro, and the program is not even shown if your system doesn't meet this requirement.

I configured central texts in SAP for object KNA1. The text type I configured was ZTEL. I can see the text in XD02/XD03 and VD02/VD03, but I can't see the text in FD02/FD03. Can someone please assist?

Got it.
You mention that you have used text object as KNA1. But you might not have used the same text ID in the access sequence similar to VD02/VD03 text type. Hence this variation.
In order to find the text ID, you need to go to the text, double click on the text. This will open the text editor. Here go to menu Goto ->Header. This will provide you the details lke text object, text ID and Language.
You can compare both the header details and you will definitely see the different text ID's. This is the reason, why you can't see the texts in FD02/FD03.
The purpose for this is to maintain sales specific texts and company code specific texts in the general view (accounting user don't care about the sales texts/vice versa), but if you want to keep same texts in both t.codes, then you can create with same object and text ID.

As long as you can't get a hold of the device, you can't do anything more than talking to your daughter about it.
Erasing the device could also be an option to keep her from using apps you don't want her to have on her device.

I have downloaded a pdf from a jounal web site. After doing this and inserting comments, then saving it, upon opening it again, i can no longer see the text but only the highlight changes that i made

Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order

I reloaded my old iWorks 08 to my iMac's new hard drive. With a new Pages document, I can't see the cursor. You can type in text but it is in white only. Any thoughts?

Hi. I lost my iMac's hard drive and had a new one installed. I reloaded my old iWorks 08 software and then transferred my Pages documents from a portable HD to the iMac. The files open but the original text in them (they are journals) are in white against the white background. Plus I can't see any sign of the cursor. I can hi-lite the text and change its colour but never to black. Plus the photos I inserted along side the text are barely visible, as if they had been badly faded.
Any thoughts on this? Many thanks.

You must run Software Update and bring your old iWorks 08 to the latest release for compatibility with the current OS.
