Can't see the weather when i swipe down, any ideas?

Updated to iOS7 and now I can't see the weather when I swipe down; I've looked everywhere in settings and can't seem to find a way to do it, can anyone help? Thanks.

Launch the Weather app and let it update. Then, check the Notifications Center again. Note that the weather now displays differently. It is a text description under the date in the "Today" section of NC.

No, it will wipe it when they try to connect it to a computer and set it up under their own Apple ID. When they turn on the device the first time without connecting it to anything they will be able to see the video.

Try this:
1. Create your playlist in iTunes.
2. Select the playlist in the source (left) column.
3. Go to the Store menu > Share playlist...
4. Click the "Gift" button in the dialog box that appears.
5. Wait while iTunes checks that all the playlist's songs are available in the store.
6. Fill out the gift form that eventually appears.
That should work.

Your initial post indicated that you had a CC subscription. That seems to imply that you have subscribed. If you hadn't already purchased Lightroom 6 I would suggest that you wait until you decide about CC. You really don't need both because the Lightroom program is precisely the same except for Lightroom 6 without the creative cloud has no Lightroom mobile capabilities. But I was only trying to help.

TC - 802.11N can's see the TC when it is configured to 5GHz 'n only'

I am trying to set up my TC to use the 5GHz bandwidth "n only", when I do this I can't see the TC from either my MB Air or Mac Pro (both are n capable).
Connecting on the 2.4GHz freq is not a problem and the connection shows as being around 120M ie it appears to be connecting at the higher 'n' speed.

I had the same problem with my Imac. No connection at 5 GHz but my Macbook Pro could connect no problem. The 5ghz network name would flash for a second in the airport menu then disappear. Never could connect. Finally gave up and changed to 2.4 and everything connects ok.

Okay... try this...
Go to Settings -> iTunes & App Store -> Apple ID and sign out of your account. Then sign back in with your Apple ID. Try downloading again.
If that doesn't work, go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. When done, turn your iPad off (hold the Sleep button down for several seconds. When the red slider appears, switch it off. Wait a few seconds and then press and hold the Sleep button for 1-2 seconds and let go). After the reboot you will need to reconnect your Wi-Fi, log back in to App Store, iBook Store, and iTunes. Try downloading content again.

On OS 5, the contacts with international format do not show the names when they call me. any idea why?

I have updated my Iphone 4 software to OS5, and since then the names of the people who call me stopped to appear and only their number is showing. after checking, i found out that the contatcs whom local phone number is saved in an international format are affected by this problem. if i save them without the country code, then their names appear.
Also, some non local numbers that are saved in the format of 00966--------- instead of +966 ------- are also not showing the name of my contact when they call me.
any idea about this knowing that the older OS version didn't have an issue with this?

This is the same problem I have. I thought it was my phone only, but now I realize it is a common thing. I hope they release a fix to this, as they did in 2007 & 2007 when 3G was released. Will be waiting and good luck to us all.

When I highlight text in a PDF I can't see the highlights when I open on iPhone, why is this?

I'm on a Mac and opened a PDF document in Acrobat. I then highlighed several pieces of text and then saved the PDF to my desctop. When I open the PDF with Preview I can see all of the highlights, however when I email myself the PDF and open it on my iphone none of the highlights show up.
How can I save the hightlights so that I can see them on my iphone?

I tried sending directly from Acrobat but had the same issue... When I viewed on iPhone none of the highlights show up.
To view it on the iphone, I simply clicked the attachment from within Mail to open it up.

I have a question. When you hear a song on your iPod, the title of the song slides, so you can see the whole songtitle.
My question is: Why does the iPod not slide the whole artist name? It only shows you some of the first letters.

None of the current iPods are capable of scrolling the artist names-they only slide the title.

I can't see the video when using the flash player

Hello everyone, I am having difficulty trying to fix the video of my adobe flash player. The audio works well on the flash player but the screen is black for the video. I have read the helpful tips on the adobe website and I have already: downloaded the most recent flash player, managed the add-ons, unchecked activeX filtering, deleted the flash player browsing data, and removed the flash player cache. I am at a loss for what to do next. Youtube works fine, but when I go to cbs.com to watch full episodes I can't see anything. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help. I went and look up that information and then I went to the AMD website do download the graphic drivers and software and it said that it couldn't so I should contact HP. I then went to the HP website, put in the information of my computer and looked to see what graphic drivers I could update. Unfortunately I have the same graphic driver that they are saying is the only update for my computer. I appreciate the suggestion but it didn't work. Thanks, Aaron

I am seeing errors like:Status: 5.4.4 (Illegal host/domain name found). Almost all destinations have no A records, only MX records. The user can usually resend the message and it works. Any ideas?

I do have MX in tcp_local in imta.cnf

The problem is not in the mail software, the problem is in your DNS system. 554 is a permenant failure which means that the MTA got an authoritative response from DNS reporting that the host/domain did not exist.
When the user tries again, the MTA queries again, and this time DNS responds with a positive response.
First see the NMS tuning guide and enable nscd, it might be related, not sure, can't hurt, will improve performance.
Your DNS server should be waiting until it gets a positive/negative response from the root servers. Sounds like that is not happening, maybe a timeout kicking in and causing it to return a authoritative answer (which is incorrect) and then on a subsequent query the response made it and thus the lookup works.

Can't see photos copied over from old mac - any ideas?

I copied my photo library over from my old mac (same method as I used for my iTunes library, which worked) to my new one. I just dragged out the original empty library folder and put the one from the old mac in its place. Non of the photos showed up.
I figured I would deal with it later and have since added photos from my camera. I am now trying to see the older photos but no luck. My photo library, seen from within iPhoto, has albums for the years listed but without the pictures.
I did the rebuild but that didn't change anything. I tried importing them but iPhoto tells my I can't import them since they are already in the library.
Anyone know how to solve this?

Do you still have a copy of your original library from the old Mac?
If so try the following:
1 - copy it again to the Pictures folder.
2 - download and run BatChmod on the iPhoto Library folder with the settings shown here, putting your administartive name in the owner and group sections. You can either type in the path to the folder or just drag the folder into that field.
3 - launch iPhoto with the Option key depressed and select that library folder to open.
Now see if the album gets converted correctly. You can move your other iPhoto library folders to the desktop temporarily until you see if this procedure is any more successful.
Also update to 10.4.9 with the COMBO updater and update Quicktime to the latest version, 7.1.5. Of course repair disk permissions afterward with Disk Utility.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. If you can log into the iTunes Store, you're logged in.
