Can't see updates available in App Store

Does anyone else have a problem with updates not showing up in the Updates tab? I've got an update in the dock showing but nothing ever appears in the tab in the App Store app. It's not a problem when it's an App update because I can click in the Purchases tab and manually click the Update button but this is clearly a system update. I've got auto updates enabled and after 3 days it still hasn't updated. Short of re-installing my Mac, any tips?

No help I'm afraid, but did you fix this? I have exactly the same issue since upgrading to iOS 6.1.

  • TS1702 on my iPad, i can't open updates from the app. store

I am trying to do updates on the app store on my ipad and it will not open. Any advice?

Stil the same issue as of today. Updates is just a blank page. No messages, such as 'no updates', or anything like this. The updates page simply refuses to load at all. I think maybe Apple may require us to update to the latest iOS version. I'm on 6.1 on my iPad mini. However updates have always been extremely unpredictable for me and every time I have tried these my iPad gets stuck on the software update page and I have to download a tool to get it out of this. It can take a long time, so I would rather not do it. Besides which, there is nothing in the newst iOS version that I find compelling enough to want to do this. Can someone confirm/refute if iOS 6.1 has now somehow been excluded from recieving updates in the normal way?
I don't see why I should change it anyway. It works/worked fine up until now.

  • TS1702 Can't open update tab in app store

I can't open "update" tab in the app store... When i click it, it show a blank page

Apparently, there is a problem with Apple’s servers.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then.
You can also download the updates in iTunes on your computer and sync them to the iPad.

  • Why can't I see updates in the App Store?

The App Store icon indicates that a number of updates are available, but the Updates page in the App Store is empty.  I can see which Apps need updating in the Under All Purchases.  Rebooting did not work. ‘Reset all settings’ did not work. Closing the App Store icon did not work. Removing the last ten Apps did not work. Closing all active apps did not work. Loading a new App did not work.  Closing all running apps and turning off wi-Fi did not work.

  • I Can't access "Updates" tab in App Store

There's 5 tabs in App Store, right?
    "Features" I can access
    "Top Chart" I can
    "Genius" I can
    "Search" I can search
    But
    "Updates" I can't access anything
However, too many times I accessed it, At first it always shows "Loading" for 3 secs and then leave me a blank sceen and nothing else.
    What should I do?

Try quitting the App Store app.
Go to the Home screen and double click the Home button. That will reveal the row of recently used apps at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold on the app in question until it wiggles and displays a minus sign. Tap the minus sign to actually quit the app. Then tap anywhere on the screen above that bottom row to return the screen to normal. Then restart the app and see if it works normally.

  • Can't get updates from Mac App Store

I changed my password. Now, I can't get updates to apps bought using the old PW. Error msg: "Download using your other account." What "other" account? Change back to the old PW and download the upgrades, then go back to the new PW?

After I reset my password, Mac App Store told me to sign in to my account and verify that I had a valid method of payment set up. Naturally, I do have such a method. But Done does't work because I have to verify an account that, according to MY Account, is already verified. But, what the hey? Apple has my back against the wall. I re-verify it. Apple says, "Account verified. Return to App Store."
Nothing has changed. I verify my MOP again. I get the same good news.
Nothing has changed. I give up for the night..
Today, I open up Mail. Two messages from Apple. Each says that my account has been de-authorized. That is, each time that I "verified" my MOP, I was, somehow, actually DE-verifying it!
So, I set up a new MOP with no apparent probs, except that,
MOP?!!! What MOP?! !'ve ALREADY PAID! What does it matter whether I have an MOP, if I'm not BUYING anything?!!! But, what are you going to do?
All right. I've now completely redone everything, including deleting App Store with Amnesia and doing a whole 'nother install.
I try to download an update.
You have updates available for other accounts.
To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it.
I have a single account. I've never had any other. I have fifteen (15!) apps waiting to be updated.
As far as I can tell, the trouble started after I put in a new password - before I knew that I was going to have a problem - after having used the old one from the opening of the MAS. Everything that had an update from after that date is  updated. The fifteen non-updatables are from before the password change.
    Thank you for trying.

  • Apps not showing update available in app store‎

    Hi there,
I am not seeing apps to be updated in Marketplace, I need to manually visit the app and then tap on "update" button, if I came to know that there is an update for it.
    I am using Lumia 920 on AT&T.
What's worng with that phone? This is my second replacement from Nokia! Come on guys! Stop serving broken experience.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Thanks @cjlim. You are right, there should be a fix coming from MS.
@adrianhughes yes, QR is a good alternate, however imagine I have 30+ non-Nokia apps and I don't have time to go around all the apps everyday in App Store or keep my eye out for app updates announcement on WPCentral.com or any other blog and then manually visit the apps and tap Update individual.
Although I love Metro UI, and Lumia 920 camera is far ahead from iPhone however things are still not yet matured in Nokia+Microsoft world yet. Oh well.
By the way I just verified that only Nokia Lumia related WP8 having that issue. HTC 8x don't have that kind of bug.
    Take Care,

  • ITunes says "update available." App Store disagrees.

I saw the announcement for iTunes 11. I opened iTunes, and got a window saying an update was available. The App Store opened, and I got a message saying no updates were available. Help?

    writergirl2,
    1. Go to your Applications folder.
    2. Drag the Numbers application to the trash (do NOT empty the trash at this time).
    3. Open the App Store on your Mac.
    4. Search for the Numbers application in the App Store.
    5. Install the Numbers Application (you won't be charged since you've already purchased).
    6. Once the Install has completed, you should no longer have this "ghosting update prompt".
    7. Once you have verified that the update list has been cleared in the App Store, empty your trash.
    This should solve your problem!

  • I can't access updates in the App Store.

While I have 5 updates showing in the App Store I can't access them. The page is blank.

There are literally hundreds of threads on this topic.
A work around found by Fly150
Go into your puchased tab and download each update (you'll find the app icons with little update banners on them.)
Alternatively,  if you sync with a computer, you can use the iTunes on your computer to  download the updates then sync them onto your device.
Or you can be patient and wait for Apple to fix the issue

  • I can't install updates from the App Store

I got my mother's old mac book pro and have encountered a problem I do not know how to fix. I can sign into my iTunes and the App Store just fine, but when I go to install updates to my mac it asks me to sign in again but it has my old email there for sign in and I can not change it. How can I fix this problem?
I have tried resetting everything to default and I have even removed all other saved emails for sign in, but still encounter this problem.

You need to delete and redownload the applications you’re trying to update; the old Apple ID is stored inside them.
