Can't see 'white' colored page number on colored object/paper

I am using Pages '09 (v 4.3) and am having a devil of a time trying to get a 'white colored' page number to show up over a colored object that is streched over the sheet/paper to provide a color background. The problem seems limited to only when I want to use white, as any other color in the palette will show (assuming that there is enough contrast between the background color and selected page number color). I'm seeing this problem in a sheet where I want to use a black background with white text in the body (no issue there) and a white colored page number. Anyone else seen this? Or perhaps I have missed something simple?

Peter -
Is it there when you zoom in? No amount of zoom or lack thereof changes the situaiton.
Is it there if you increase its point size? Nope.
Is it there if you change the font? Nope.
Have you tried using white from the Color Picker? Yes, no matter how white is selected the end result is the same.
What is the Opacity of the text in the Graphic Inspector? Text does not have an opacity option/selection. Perhaps you are asking what the Opacity is of the solid color I am trying to set as the background, in which case it is 100%.

  • How can I see which specific page number I'm on in a Pages document?

    How can I see which specific page number I'm on in a Pages document? Thanks.

    Hi and thanks. Pages is V 5.0.1. And I've got OSX 10.9.1.
    I just tried what you suggested and while it works I'm looking for something like what a Word doc shows, where at the bottom of the screen you see - Pages: 1 of 37 (it's to the left of where a Word doc shows - Words: 7 of 9024).
    I recently switched to Pages and want to start using it all the time and get rid of Word.

  • It was updated and i can't see the web page. It is only a white page. Android for tablet

    I was able to see a webpage which starts with https. However the browser was updated and 1 can't see the web page anymore. I can see it in chrome but I need Firefox due to the plug ins.

    I installed FLASH PLAYER and it doesn´t work. Everything started when Firefox was installed automatically. Does anybody knows how to install a complement in google chrome for android (it is a scanned document) since i could not open the web page in firefox or dolphin, I used chrome but now I cannot see the content. I already installed PDF reader. I do not know how to enable the plug in. I read that I should go to
    chrome://plugins but this page doesn´t not exist.
    How can I enable it in a tablet android?
    Thank you in advance.

  • How can i see the next page in smartform?

    i hav created a Second Page (%page 2) in Smart form.
    and in that page i created one Main window and a table.
    in 1st page, i defined the Next page as Page2 and
    in the second page i defined the Next Page as Page2.
    but only the 1st page is displaying. how can i see the next page?
    what i want to do in smartform...

    Hi,
    The second page will be displayed only when the data does not fit in the main window of the first page and continues to the second page.
    So make sure that you have enough number of line to print that it overflows to second page.

  • HT4098 I have paid for an iPad magazine subscription, but I can not see all the pages of the magazine.  All I am getting is the free preview.  The magazine company said to contact Itunes, where I don't see a solution.

    I have paid for an iPad magazine subscription, but I can not see all the pages of the first issue I just got.  All I'm getting is the free preview.  I contacted the magazine publisher, IPC, who said to contact Itunes, where I do not see an answer.

    You can contact iTunes Store Support here.
    https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action
    Click on Purchases, billing and redemption to get started. Are you sure that you actually downloaded the magazine? I have a subscription to one magazine and I choose to download the magazines on my own rather than automatically.

    Hi Varun,
    Sorry for the delayed response. Have you configured your weblogic instance for jrf (ADF libraries) if so, you should be able to deploy the thin ear fine. If not you need to deploy the thick ear.

    Can i download java for my ipad, the problem is i open glovis.usgs from my ipad, but i can't see the full page, cause the page need a java...help me please

    Nope. The iPad (and iPhone and iPod touch) cannot execute Java applets. It's a limitation in iOS from the beginning (just like lack of Flash). You will either need to use a desktop computer or access a desktop computer via RDP or VNC to access that page on iPad.mIn short: there is no native way to use a Java applet on iOS.

    Hi, I'have selected "Block this ad" when I was in Facebook. Now I can only see an empty page when I try to use my Facebook. Any help in unblocking it? Thanks.

    Apple doesn't have any built-in ad blocking components in teh OS or in Safari...so what ad blocking program or Safari extension are you using?  It should have the ability for you to change its settings.

  • Help! I Can't See My Web Page!

    Good evening fellow Dreamweaver users,
        I recently tried centering one of my web pages using a code that I received from Nadia for another one of my pages.  The code worked for that page, but when I entered it into my second page it didn't work.  I deleted the code from my second page, but now I can't see it when I go to test it in my browser.  All I see is a blank white page.  I'm in dire need of some help.  Yes, I am an amateur and I'm sorry if my questions are bothering some of you. However, I'm trying to learn this stuff, but I get confused on where and how to place the coding and now I have messed up and don't know what to do to fix it.  I would appreciate it if someone could help me get my page to be auto-centered and show up again when I test it in my browser.  Below is the current coding for my page.  Thank you.

I moved to Stockton in the summer of 2008 to be closer to San Joaquin Delta College, which is where I started my higher education in becoming a Graphic Designer. I will be finishing my higher education in Stockton at the University of the Pacific with a BFA in Graphic Design. I first realized my potential as an artist through my computer aided drafting and architecture courses in high school. I really enjoy coming up with creative ideas and then bringing those ideas to life using many different types of media. <br>
                  <br>
                  In 1996 I enlisted into the U.S. Army's delayed entry program. In 1997 I graduated high school and left Oakdale to go to my first duty station after I finished my military occupation specialty training. The military has allowed me to see other parts of this country and world, which enhanced my &quot;out of the box&quot; way of thinking. The military also helped enforce the great skills and values that I had learned growing up in a family full of military service members (i.e. discipline, teamwork, and professionalism). In the military my occupation specialty was an Infantry Team Leader, which is highly demanding both physically and mentally. Although the nature of my job in the military took a lot of intelligence the physical demands of the job was the dominant attribute. After ten years of honorable service my body could no longer take the physical demand of being an Infantry soldier. In 2007 I was given an honorable disability discharge from the military. This was the catalyst that got me started on the path of pursuing a career that would allow me to utilize my creative thinking skills, as well as the skills and attributes I developed through my years in the military.<br>
                  <br>
                  During my exploration in higher education in 2007 at San Joaquin Delta College I came across their Graphic Arts Program. I instantly fell in love and have not turned back. I feel fortunate and blessed to have found myself on a career path towards becoming a Graphic Designer. My strongest skill set is my creative &quot;out of the box&quot; thinking skills and this type of media allows me to not only bring my ideas to life, but the ideas of others. I couldn't ask for a better career for myself than having a career that is both challenging and constantly evolving.</span><br>

    Good morning Nadia,
        I apologize for it taking me so long to respond back to you, but I have been quite busy with trying to prepare for my Fall semester college transfer.  After copying and pasting your revised code I still couldn't see my page when I viewed it through my browser.  However, the code for centering the page worked in Dreamweaver, so I decided to start over by using the code you gave me to center the page as a template.  After achieving this enormous task I now have a centered web page that is viewable in my browser.  I want to let you know that I'm very appreciative and thankful for your help, as I was really stuck in a bad spot.  Even though I have taken a web design course and have read a few books I still find myself having trouble with fully understanding how to correctly implement the coding in Dreamweaver, which I feel is a key part in becoming a great web designer.  I have pasted the new code for the page below in case you wanted to check it out.

            <td class="bodyText"><p><span class="style16"><span class="style17">I'm from Oakdale, CA, but I now reside in Stockton, CA. I moved to Stockton in the summer of 2008 to be closer to <a href="http://www.sjdccd.cc.ca.us/">San Joaquin Delta College</a>, which is where I started my higher education in becoming a Graphic Designer. I will be finishing my higher education in Stockton at the <a href="http://web.pacific.edu/">University of the Pacific</a> with a BFA in Graphic Design. I first realized my potential as an artist through my computer aided drafting and architecture courses in high school. I really enjoy coming up with creative ideas and then bringing those ideas to life using many different types of media. <br />
                        <br />
This was the catalyst that started me on the path of pursuing a career that would allow me to utilize my creative thinking skills, as well as the skills and attributes I developed through my years in the military.<br />
              <br />
              During my exploration in higher education in 2007 at Delta College I came across their Graphic Arts Program. I instantly fell in love and have not turned back. I feel fortunate and blessed to have found myself on a career path towards becoming a Graphic Designer. My strongest skill set is my creative &quot;out of the box&quot; thinking skills. Being a Graphic Designer allows me to not only bring my ideas to life, but the ideas of others. I couldn't ask for a better career for myself than having a career that is both challenging and constantly evolving.</span><br />

  • How can I see my entire page when editing?

    When i edit my web page, the far right
    column is over shadowed by the middle column.
    so i can not see any of my text in the rows of that column unless i shrink the middle column
    there is no scroll at the bottom.
    so is there a way to view the entire page durring editing?  thanx

    I tried saving this page locally and edited in Contribute CS4 in both  Windows and Mac, the horizontal scroll bar did appeared. Please find  the same in the screenshot below.
    Windows:
    Mac:
    Or  you can try clearing the preferences and connecting again.
    To  Clear the preference, quit Contribute, and then delete the  Contribute  CS5(or CS4 or CS3) folder in C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local   Settings\Application Data\Adobe\ and also run the following command "   reg delete "HKCU\Software\Adobe\Contribute 6 (or 5 or 4.1)" /f " if you are using   Contribute CS5 (or CS4 or CS3).    Reconnect to the site and try the same scenario.
    Note that, if you clear the  preferences then no   connection will be listed in Contribute, you need to recreate the   connections. It will be like a fresh installation.

  • Can't see fill or stroke even with color activated

    This is a newbie question, but for the life of me I can't figure out what's going on. At some point while I was working on an Illustrator CS2 file, I  accidentally moved or misclicked on an object, and then its fill and  stroke disappeared. In the tool panel, fill and stroke are still  activated and are still the same color they were before, I just can't  see them on the actual image. I can only see the path. Other objects are  still visible, and I've been trying to compare their attributes with  those of the invisible object, but I haven't been able to figure out the  difference.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Phobic,
    In your Layers screenshot, I count Compound Shapes nested fifteen levels deep. That is an absolutely ridiculous construct, and it is no wonder you are having display problems.
    Select the topmost Compound Shape listed in the Layers palette. Release Compound Shape. Repeat this until you have no more Compound Shapes. Then stay away from the Pathfinder palette until you understand it. (See online Help.) You don't need it for the simply line art you are drawing, based on the screenshot.
    Realize: The Layers palette lists every object in the document. So not everything listed there is a Layer or a SubLayer. Those items titled Compound Shapes are not Layers; they're objects.
    For the kind of artwork you are trying to draw, first get your head around ordinary Compound Paths. When you have to use one closed path to punch a hole in another, use the Object>Compound Path>Make command, not the Pathfinder palette. Compound Paths are basic constructs common across all vector drawing programs. That top row of icons in the Pathfinder palette create compound paths applied as a "live effect"--an Illustrator-specific construct, and one that will just confuse you until you understand the basics of compound paths.
    Understand that each subpath of a compound path has its own winding direction. The winding direction, together with the winding rule, determine whether the subpath "punches" or creates a void in the surrounding subpath. Illustrator does a poorer job of automatically handling those settings than other programs, so you often have to change the direction of direct-selected subpaths. Those settings are in the Attributes palette.
