Can't seem to clear Flash cache in Firefox 4 on Windows 7 (64-bit)

When updating my work's webpage, I cannot seem to get a certain flash component to update. It works fine in IE so I know that it's not on the server's side. I have tried clearing all cache and even private browsing. Nothing I do will cause Firefox to show the updated information. Is there any other way to clear the flash cache other than using Firefox's Clear Recent history feature?

Thank you for finding that driver Mikey. The information at the download site is confusing me. The first version listed is the version I have BUT it appears to me that the first listed applies to Windows7 32 bit. I have 64 bit and that number is off the wall. Also, I was looking for Broadcom since that's the driver I have. Somehow you were able to recognize the driver. I made a restore point and removed Ready Comm and it worked out okay. I would hope sometime in the future Lenovo would identify their drivers so that people who aren't familiar with all of this can recognize what they need. I think you're probably right that that is the driver I have. Thank you again.

How Do I clear Flash Cache?

I use xp with windows 2000 and firefox.
This is used for facebook games and have been advised to clear the Flash cache. Found the page with the information on it but it doesn't make sense where to start the process.
Your help is greatly appreciated (simple english please)

I dont think your on the right page. He is talking about the "Flash Cache" not his "browser cache". To go about clearing the "Flash cache". First off, the globial setting, is the only way I know of, to clear the "flash cache".To do that, I had to go to adobe, then to the "Globial settings".Which will look just like the reg. flash setting with the exception that there are two or three extra tabs to chose from. Now I can't remember if it was the far right tab or the one next to it. 90% sure it's the far right tab. thats the one you need to "delete all" or "clear all". then you restart your broswer. And yes you will see improvment in your facebook games, Gardens of Time,Empires and Allies, Backyard Monsters. Hope this was more helpful than harm.

Can't seem to keep Flash Player installed

Hello, I can't seem to keep the Flash player installed.
Sometimes it works for a couple of minutes, then stops. Most times
I install it and the movie plays, but when I go to another web site
it says I need to install it again. I have tried the regular
download, the full download, and have used the uninstaller to

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

How can install the Fractal Image plug-in into Firefox for Windows 7?

I have the plug-in necessary to view fractal images built with the now no longer Iterated Systems program "Fractal Imager." These are files with the .fif extension and the plug-in is needed to view them. The plug in I have is fully functional. The problem I am having is that I needed instructions on how to upload this plug-in into Firefox for Windows.

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

You can't clear them from where?
If it's under your purchases on either the itunes store or the app store, you can't. those are there for good.
If you mean closing them out, double-tap home screen then close the apps. For ios 7 it's swiping up the windows. If it's ios6, hold down until it jiggles then tap on the little x on the corner to close them out.

How can I recover images from my cache after firefox has dumped or overwriten them?

I am well versed in how to extract image sfrom my browsre's cache. My cache is toggled to allow 50MB of storage space. What happens to the files that are cleared after this limit has been reached? Can I recover data i.e. photos, that has been lost in this way?

If Firefox is forced to remove something from the cache in order to store something else, it is overwritten. I doubt that trying to recover that file will succeed.

FireFox will not start due to message indicating that ssl3.dll is missing and indeed it is not in the program files. But I can not seem to be able to reinstall Firefox or to copy the ssl3.dll file into the program files. Help?

Webroot identified ssl3.dll as a threat and deleted it. Now I can not start Firefox, nor can I copy ssl3.dll into the Firefox Program file. I tried uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, but it always shows as an upgrade and does not seem to add ssl3.dll. HELP?

Hi. I can't seem to install iTunes 10.5 on my Windows Vista Starter laptop.

Each time I try (about six times in the past 5 hours), this pops up: "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor."
I've tried a bunch of methods I found online (regedit, uninstalling, reinstalling, etc.) but I was hoping you could recommend a better solution.

Hi again! Fixed it myself, but here's what I did (in case anyone else encounters the same problem):
Control Panel > Programs and Features > Add or Remove Programs
1. Uninstall iTunes (if you're upgrading, but if it's a fresh install, disregard this step)
2. Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support
3. Uninstall Apple Application Support
4. Uninstall Bonjour
5. Repair Apple Software Update. If you can't, try uninstalling. I couldn't uninstall or repair mine (the same error message appeared) so I used Microsoft Fixit Engine (http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall) to uninstall it.
6. Download the iTunes installer and run it. Voila!

I can't seem to upload PDF files through Firefox 5.0

I have not been able to upload a PDF file through Firefox 5.0. This has occurred with two different websites. It appears from the error messages that the file is not being identified as a PDF file, but is labelled something else. DOCX files are uploaded appropriately, but I must use PDF also. Thanks.

I've been using DW CS4 since Dec. 2010 to design and upload the store site with no problems until this past week.
I update the site once a month, during the last couple of weeks I've used DW to design 2 new pages, but this past week when I went to upload the pages I noticed the remote view was different. The remote view did show the 2 new files, including pictures, but not all the other files that I normally see, including the index file.
Plus, there are folders I didn't see before, CGI, DropBox and about 6 others.
On the 2nd pg. of the main site, I put a link to past editions, the URL looks like this... http://www.landmarkantiques.com/July2011.html
I can't think of anything I might have done to cause the change, so I'm at a loss as to why and what might have caused it.
I have DW CS5 that I have not installed, and I'm a little worried about making that transition since this has happened.

Firefox 4.0 is my default browser, and I am receiving a script error message when I try to view online images in Family Tree Maker 2011, a genealogy program. Have not had problems until Firefox 4.0. Can't seem to find a setting in Firefox to fix this.

I see. Well, I just tried to make IE my default browser, but it did not solve the problem. I receive the same script error when I view the image. (I may not have explained this thoroughly enough at first - I do get to view the image after answering the error message, but the print button embedded in the window doesn't work. Before, I never had a problem with viewing or printing.)
I imagine that at this point I will either need to communicate this to the IE people, or possibly revert to an older version of IE.

However, on Internet Explorer 9, it works perfectly, which is how I narrowed it down to being a Firefox problem.

Is the problem with images in particular? There are several possibilities.
If it only affects the jcpenney site, try this: right-click the page, choose View Page Info, then click Permissions. Check the first line on this tab. Usually, it is set to "Use default". If that is not checked, click that checkbox, OK the change, then reload the page. Any luck?
