Can't seem to find this anywhere - migrating to new Macbook using Ethernet
Do I connect both my old computer and my new one to the Ethernet port on my router? Or can I connect both computers together using a crossover Ethernet cable?

Thanks for the help! The "target" computer is a new Macbook, so no FireWire. I used to rely on FW to transfer files, but with the new notebooks, this is no longer an option.
One other question - once I connect them together with an Ethernet cable, do I launch Migration Assistant and the computers will recognize each other?

I have a video clip in Theatre that plays fine, but I can't find the folder and when I try to save it as a file or share it, it brings up a wrong clip. Where would that file be located if it is showing up in my Theatre library. I've tried searching for it based on it's file name but my mac can't seem to find it anywhere.
It comes as part of iLife box set. Apple retired iDVD for reasons only they know. You won't find it as a stand-alone product on apple's website. If you do get the box set, only install iDVD. The versions on iPhoto, Garage Band are old.

My client has chosen pantone 2567c as their brand colour, but I can't seem to find this in illustrator, it's there in photoshop. any ideas? I want to supply a vector logo for them to use as a standard. Not come across this before!

Where in the world is the iTunes Radio icon on iOS 7. Just upgraded my iPad 4 & iPhone 5 and I can't seem to find this on either.
I'd say that darn stupid. The whole world can access iTunes Radio via Apple TV and the laptop, but apple had to restrict this to the US for IOS 7 for iPad & iPhone.

I'm trying to change the content of a tab. Can't find info anywhere! My new tab used to come up as Google search page. Now it is Bing, and I don't want Bing. I have uninstalled the program that inadvertently put it there but Bing remains. Where is the tab control that hooks me up with Tab content?

I am having problems with Safari --- running slowly at times but shutting down unexpectedly at other times and displaying the error message saying something about the sonic foundry plug-in. I cannot find this anywhere on my computer. It seems to happen when I visit the Cooking Light website. Strange.
Anyone have any ideas?

I've read that there is an add-on that adds Sync, included with FF starting with 4.0, to Firefox 3.6, but can't seem to find it. I need to keep a zoo of different browser versions, including 3.x, but want to sync stuff nonetheless.
So far, I tried variants of "Weave" and "Sync" on addons.m.o, and Google, but to no avail.I use several different computers, different software, and a mobile device, too. I have the bulk of my important data in a FF3.6 profile, and I also need to keep the FF3.6 for web development purposes (every version renders slightly different, but the difference between 3.6 and 11 is very noticable). Also, FF11 has some problems, like forgetting passwords, but accrued an independent set of bookmarks, passwords, add-ons etc., so trashing that is not an option, either (although I am usually on 11 these days). Wading through tons of stuff to merge is not a good option either, and Sync would have helped to unify all of that.
@TonyE: Would Xmarks and LastPass merge with Sync data from newer FF? I'll give that a whirl.
@cor-el: Thank you for the link. It does explain the current situation, but the arguments put forward in that article are that highly aggravating marketing speak that I have come to expect from the Mozilla Corp. guys.
I still don't understand why they couldn't let the addon online for a few more days, maybe with a disclaimer that support ran out on mm/dd/yyyy, and that it will e.g. be pulled together with the main product.
@Tylerdowner: I'll probably try to merge the stuff from 3.6 into 11 by creating another FF11 profile and then use Sync between them.

It takes me to malicious sites when I click on the first choice on a google search no matter where it is in the ranking. It is really annoying. I have anti Malware and avast. Neither seems to find it. I am not computer saavy enough to get into the root logs etc. and I don't want to pay a bunch of money just to use my beloved Firefox. Can I delete firefox then re download it?
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />

I can't seem to close the screen on my new MacBook Pro with ext montitor
I have a new MacBook Pro with a Samsung T240 through the DVI link. I can see my desktop on the external monitor when the laptop screen is open, but if I close it the computer goes to sleep and I cannot see anything on the T240.
I have the Bluetooth keyboard and the Bluetooth mouse. The mouse also deactivates until I manually browse for it after I wake the computer up by opening the screen.

Let the laptop sleep, then hit a key on the keyboard or wiggle the mouse to wake it up. -

Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted. Search all home screens and all folders.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions to see if it has been restricted.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout. -
I can't seem to find AirDrop anywhere
I thought I just removed it from my sidebar, but it doesn't even show up in Finder Preferences. Is it possible to have deleted it?
If your MacBook Pro model came out before October 14, 2008, it doesn't support AirDrop.

I have looked in the preferences portion of Pages, but that option isn't even there anymore. I wonder if maybe it got moved elsewhere in the new update?
Pages 5 now uses the system-level auto-correction in System Preferences > Keyboard > Text. Unfortunately, a lot of the options available in previous versions of Pages no longer exist.
