Can't select sync selected photo albums

In the Apple TV photo tab of iTunes I cannot get the "sync selected albums etc button" to be highlighted(ungreyed). I've been doing this successfully for 2 years and now I cannot.

what sort of itunes/appletv connection have to configured ?
you can only sync photos when connected as a primary connection (with sync options for video/music etc).
if you are connected via a shared connection (ie can only stream music/video) then you can only stream photos.

Can't sync two photo albums

Hi,
I'm trying two sync to photo albums from my Windows 8 PC to my iPhone 6, I have two folders 'Jacob and 'Jacob2'.
I can sync either one perfectly fine but when I come to sync the 2nd folder it replaces the first one I synced.
In short, it's only letting me have one folder on my iPhone. What am I doing wrong?

Connect your iPad to iTunes via cable (or correctly set WiFi sync options), select your device, select the Photos tab, then choose what you want to sync.

I have "Sync Photos from" clicked. But the "selected folders" remains greyed out. I have too many photo folders to combine into one folder, and this is just a glitch around the problem. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hello, maybe I'm missing something really simple here but is there a way for me to make my iPod not show my events from iPhoto, and just the albums? After iLife 08 and Leopard, when I select "Sync all photos" it transfers everything including A TON of events, which I don't want. Is there a way for it to not show the events in the list? Thanks!

you should be able to select which albums to sync instead of selecting "all photos" from the Photos tab in iTunes when your ipod is connected. Choose this PHOTOS tab, then select "Selected Albums" and not "All Events." This will let you choose which albums you want. Click the ones you want on the ipod, then click the SYNC button on the bottom right of the iTunes screen. It will take time to "optimize" all photos, then transfer them to the ipod (two-step process for each photo). Once done, eject and verify. You're all set!

Since upgrading to iOS6 on my iPhone 4S I can no longer sync my photos in iPhoto via iTunes.
The sync photos is checked but only the sync all option is available and the sync fails at the photo step with an unknown error.
All apps and OS's are current and otherwise functioning properly. Any thoughts?

I'm seeing the same problem. The sync from iTunes stops when starting to sync photos and the "Unknown Error 1140" message appears. I tried several times, then decided to uncheck the Photos Sync in iTunes. The sync then proceeded without problems (without the photos of course).
My feeling is that I don't really need to sync the photos as I'm using Photo Stream and save all photos (taken with the iPhone) to the Camera Roll. The Camera Roll photos are then saved to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro via Photo Stream. I tend not to have other albums on my iPhone (other than a few test albums) - just use the Camera Roll basically.
I'm using an iPhone 4S with iOS 6 and the latest iPhoto 9.4 - also the latest Mountain Lion 10.8.2.

I'm also having the same problem and as a keen photo hobbyist, I have my photo folders arranged by year and within each year folder I have between 20-40 sub folders, with images totaling over 80 Gb in size.
With your solution, I'll have to manually create a new folder called iPod Photos and copy the folders I want in iPod into that folder and sync the iPod Photos in iTunes.
This is a crazy solution. I don't want to duplicate another 20Gb or so of images in a separate folder just so I could sync with iTunes. Why can't iTunes sync multiple folders like other 3d party iPod apps can?

The reviews usually only show the comments of people who do not like the changed features.

No, PhotoStream was designed to be one long stream of photos.
You might be able to organize photos in your upload folder into folders, but they will not display when viewing PhotoStream.

I am using iTunes 12.0.1.26 on a Windows 7 64bit computer. I am using an iPhone 5 & an iPad Air both running the latest IOS 8.1
Since updating to the latest versions of IOS & iTunes my photo albums on both iPhone & iPad are a mess. Duplicated folders & photos in the wrong albums. When opening the duplicate folder & selecting all photos, the delete option is not there, so I can't even manually delete them.
I have deleted the iPod Photo Catche, re-synced the iPad, same problem.
I have deleted the iPod Photo Catche, re-synced the iPad, unselecting all of the picture folders. I was asked if I wanted to delete all photos, which I agreed to. Then re-synced the folders again, same problem.
I downloaded iExplorer & deleted "Photos.sqlite" from the iPad. Re-started the iPad & it rebuilt the folders & they are still mixed up!
Helllllllllllp.............. how can I rebuild/repair my albums without resorting to restoring everything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same problem on the iPad Aircand iPhone 6 Plus. I really don't know what Apple's problem has been lately, but it's become a joke, between the Remote app and other things. The only thing I can tell you is that I deleted all the photos from my devices and then resynced them again. That solved it until yesterday's software update and then it came back. I'm reaching my end with Crapple.

first time to the discussion forum. Like I stated in the title, I use to be able to have all my photo albums sync to my iphone. I did something and now it only allows me to "sync photos from..." and it only allows me to chose from 1 of my folders and not pick multiple folders from my photo library. does anyone know how to get back to the multiple folder option? I'm sure its simple since I changed this so easily when trying to add a single folder to my library.
