Can't select when I click in a box of type – is it a bug?

When I click in a box for the first time I can't select the type – can you?
click click bloody click.
Nothing happens.
I have to click again and highlight the text.
Inevitably– it's driving me around the bend.

I am not the brightest person sometimes.
I put the mouse in the text and click.
Then I click and I click and I click and I click ( I can send you a film) and nothing happens.
Do I need to buy a different type of computer?
I have only been using indesign for 10 years.
And this happned when I upgraded to CC.

The exclamation point occurs when iPhoto breaks/loses the file path to the original file. So try the following: make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot AND
the option to rebuild the small thumbnails.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Quit the App Store if it's open.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy / paste: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go then move the NetworkInterfaces.plist file from the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store. Try purchasing Mountain Lion.

You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)

Can I select when do i want to write my data into a file?

What I want is like,
When I click a button as ON then only it goes an writes the data into a spreadsheet.
Now i have made the bolllean so that it will show TRUE when you have to write...but if FALSE nothing should happen...

Every chapter in the timeline could be transfered to DVD Studio Pro, and then used in DVD navigation. Which of the distribution can I select when I setup webmin?

I ran the setup.sh of webmin, it asked for my distribution of linux. There was no archlinux, which one can I select? gentoo? slackware? FreeBSD? Or RedHat?
I have selected RedHat9, It can worked, but not perfect. Because the service script is not in /etc/rc.d/init.d

You can update it online from within webmin.
Under webmin configuration, upgrade webmin, the default is to get latest from the web which works fine. (I have just done it)

Drop down menus appear when I click links; keyboard won't type

Starting yesterday, whenever I click a link on Safari, I get a drop-down menu with "Open Link in New Window", "Open Link in New Tab" etc. instead of just taking me directly to that link like it's supposed to. (I have a standard wireless mouse, not Mighty Mouse). Also, I can't type anything on my keyboard - not in the Google search box, not in Word, not in Help boxes. No letters appear on screen when I type on the keyboard. I know the keyboard is being recognized because it still works if I press Enter to select a button on screen, for instance. (I'm typing all this from a different computer.) Did I accidentally select an option somewhere that's causing this? It all started (I think) when I clicked on the Bluetooth icon to check my battery level. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My frustration is off the charts.

Probably not relevant, but check "universal access" and be sure everything is off.
Then go to safari and trash the preference file (com.apple.safari.plist) and restart.

When using Typewriter tool, text disappears when I click out of box...

I'm sure I've seen this question addressed here before but I cannot make the "Search" work. Every time I search I get "no results" even when I search for something as obvious as PDF.
So please forgive me posting a question that I'm pretty sure has been answered in the past...
When I use the Typewriter tool to type some text, and then I click out of the text box that the Typewriter tool created, the text that I typed disappears. If I double-click on the typewriter text box then the text reappears. Then if I click out, the text disappears. And so on...
How do I make that text stay "viewable" even when I click out of the typewriter text box?

Hi Larry!!
Here is an image where the box with the Typewriter text (the word "test) is "activated", with the comments list showing down below but without the "test" comment in the comment list being highlighted. At the green "plus sign arrow" in the upper-right corner is the word "test".
Now below is an image where the box with the Typewriter text (the word "test") is not "activated" (but you can see the blue box where the word "test" should be showing), with the comments list showing down below, with the "test" comment highlighted, and the "Comments" dropdown menu so that you can see what's black in the dropdown menu.
When I clicked on the "test" comment in the comment list, the word "test" went away in the upper-right corner and the blue box showed up instead.
Am I showing what you need to see or should I show something different?

Why is a new brush shape selected when I click a tool?

This has bothered me for years. Its a problem that has plagued me and all my friends/family since Photoshop 5.5, when I was 11. Sometimes, I hear this problem breathing and salivating in my closet at night. It ate my brother, too, which was a horribly mean thing to do.
But the craziest part is that it only happens once in a while. And when I finally make an action so I can hotkey back to reality on-the-fly, it eventually just stops occurring. No changes in setting or anything.
Here's what happens:
1. I use a brush tool. (Paintbrush, clone stamp, pencil, etc.)
2. I use something else.
3. I select that tool I was using.
4. The brush has changed to some random stupid useless setting that noone in their right mind would ever use.
That's it. I'll be clicking along happily, cloning over wrinkles with a soft round 20px brush. Then I'll go zoom into a spot. Then I click the clone tool, and WHAT DO YA' KNOW! It's decided that I need a 120 px textured semi-opaque sponge brush with 50 pixel jitter. I swear it laughs at me when this happens. Its like Photoshop is rickrolling me.
So anyway, that's the backstory. Here's my question:
Should I go on living?

Well the four steps outlined above are really the entire issue. The rest is fluff. I have a congenital sarcasm condition.

Every time the issue crops up (unexpectedly and intermittently - while its been happening since the dawn of time, when Photoshop and Image-Ready were the only two programs on Noah's ark, its only come about once every four months or so) it happens to a different brush tool, and a different brush preset. However, once its decided which frankenbrush to use, it sticks to it with zealous, patriotic loyalty. I have noticed, though, that it tends towards those brushes that are only useful with Wacom equipment. (Drivers for which aren't installed on my machine.)
The only way I've found to reliably produce the issue is to turn on my microphone and loudly proclaim, "what could possibly go wrong?" (No, I can't reproduce it at will. Sorry.)

Can't select when JList populated by LOV

I'm at a loss here...

I'm creating a simple Swing Shuttle panel. I want standard action, i.e. when the 'shuttle' button is pressed, the selected items in JList1 move to JList2.
I first created this with JList1 bound to a VO. I quickly realized that I couldn't remove elements from the list without removing the appropriate rows from VO...tried to do that but ran into errors.
Ok, so i figured I'd create a programmatic VO and followed the documentation to populate this with a LOV from the db-backed VO attribute I want.
The problem is that all list values are grayed out and un-selectable
Steps:
1 - Create DB-backed VO and programmatic-backed VO with same attributes (I created these using the Ename field from Scott.EMP)
2 - Create JPanel
3 - Find the programmatic-backed VO on the Data Control palette
4 - Expand to find the attribute I want to show in my JList; select "Drag and drop as List"; drag onto my panel
5 - Open the List binding editor from the Structure window
6 - On the LOV Update attributes tab I select the DB-backed VO as the source and the programmatic VO as the target
7 - On the LOV display attributes tab I shuttle over the attribute I want to display (Ename)
I tried the three different selectionModes...I compared the properties of the VO-backed JList with the LOV-backed list and can't find a difference. I fooled around with the "Updatable" settings in the VO...
Any ideas why this doesn't work as i expect?

I'm not sure that there is anything in the ADF Bindings to help you here. What we have done is to programatically execute the query and add each Row to the JList. You will need a custom renderer to the JList so that the list knows which attribute from the Row to display. Then when you shuttle the row over, you just remove it from the first JList and add it to the 2nd JList. It is also very easy to create a generic ListCellRenderer that knows how to display Row objects. Here is one that we use:

Why can't I see my data which was entered and saved on a form when i try to reopen it? it always worked before until this spring 2014. The data is actually there when I click on a box but disappears when I go to the next box. I have a Mac.

I am using a Mac and I have always filled out the same form (ocf-6 from ontario insurance companies, application for expenses) It stopped letting me go back and open the previously saved forms which i filled out and I have saved monthly for the past 5 years. Now when I open a previously saved month /file I cannot see the data I inputed. The data is there because when i highlight a box the data appears. then when i move onto the next field/box it disappears. I tried to highlight the whole document but nothing shows up. This problem started in the spring ,2014.

Once you save that to a location on your system.
Make sure Acrobat is Quit and then do this:
1. In the Finder go to the "Go" menu.
2. Select Go to Folder
3. Paste this path into the "Go to the Folder:" field
/Applications/Adobe Acrobat XI Pro/Adobe Acrobat Pro/Contents/Resources/JavaScripts/
4. Copy the file into the JavaScripts folder.
5. Launch Acrobat
Now you should see the menu spoken of in the blog and web page.

Sometimes, the OS X 10.8.3 App Store version gives problems. In your case, download and install 10.8.3 from the Support website > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1640 It should update Mac OS X without any problem
