Can't send an e-mail with a distribution list, message read "invalid address(es)", how can i find out which address is invalid?

this is a new distribution list so the addresses should be current

Make sure the user name contains a valid ''@'' symbol and a domain like gmail.com
For example ''[email protected]'' or
''[email protected]''

  • Can I send an E-Mail with photo (not as an attachment)?

I would like to send an E-Mail with a small photo (not as an attachment) to someone who is reluctant to open attachments. Can I do this and how??
    Thank you
    tch

If you insert an image into the body, it will still be 'attached', even though it won't be listed as an attachment in the usual way. Another option is to upload the photo to your personal storage space such as OneDrive or Google Drive, and then email the link to the image. The image can then be displayed in a web browser. If you don't have a storage space, there are plenty of free image-hosting services.

  • How do I find out which programs of mine will not work with Mountain Lion?

I recently upgraded to Lion and found that all of my Power PC based applications wouldn't work (much to my surprise, as no one at Apple told me this when I inquired about the upgrade, nor is it listed in the App Store). Had to get a whole new Microsoft Word suite - after the fact.
Now, I just got an email from Intuit saying that if I upgrade to Mountain Lion I will probably have to upgrade to the latest and greatest version of Quickbooks (unless I create a partition, which is waaay too complicated for me). How do I find out what ELSE won't work if I upgrade to Mountain Lion?

  • Can't send emails from Mail with microsoft word attachments

Ok, this is a weird one. About a month ago I realized that people weren't receiving my emails sent from Mail when I attached Microsoft Word documents to them. I can attach anything else, but the second I throw in a .doc, the email simply won't be received. It will send perfectly fine, without any errors or signs of problems. Ever heard of that before? Any ideas?
    12" Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

I've been sending ".doc" files from both Mail and Entourage for some time without a problem.
Having said that, is there a chance that your Internet Service Provider is somehow blocking some file types?
I've recently come across a cpouple of European internet providers who do block executables and key file types that are known to cause problems or that might contain viruses/trojans.

  • Can I send an e-mail to a fax number(to hong kong).If so,how?

'Have been trying to e-mail a retail shop in hk who liste-mail address as [email protected],but keep receiving failure notices.
    shop name: kwailin shop''fax no. (852) 2813-8391

I just sent them a test email and it comes back with the error: "User is over quota". So it sounds like their Inbox is full.
Here's the Whois page for them: [http://whois.domaintools.com/stanleymarket.com.hk Stanley Market Hong Kong] Maybe you can try the email addy listed there instead.
There's a very useful Add-on you can consider adding to your collection called '''Flagfox'''. It adds the country's flag to the location bar when you go to a site and by right clicking that, you can check who owns the site - ''which is how I was able to give you the Whois info'' - and lots of other useful stuff. You can install it from here: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/flagfox/ Flagfox 4.1.1] It's been downloaded 13 million times which has to be a record I think.
Sorry, forgot to answer your original question. No, you can't send an email to a fax number.
    EDIT: Just found these: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/send-email-fax-machine/

  • How do I find out which apple ID my computer is associated with so I can enable automatic downloads in the iTunes store?

I'm trying to enable automatic downloads in the iTunes store for iCloud and i keep getting an error "your computer is already associated with another Apple ID" but I don't know which it could be? I've tried to look under Manage Devices in my iTunes account and I can't find my computer. Is there any way to find out what Apple ID my computer is associated with on my computer and not thru iTunes?

  • I use FIREFOX as my browser. I use AOL as my e-mail. I can not send an e-mail with an attachment.

as the e-mail tries to send , after a couple of minutes a box pops up( we have encountered a technical issue please try again)

I have the same issue and I'm trying to access the link provided for the AOL Community Support. I was able to type my question, but it keeps asking me to provide my date of birth, gender, and my name (for verification purposes). After filling out that little box multiple times, my question has still not been posted to the forum. Also, I was able to use Google Chrome to send email attachments through AOL with no problems.

  • Can't send in Apple Mail with .Mac - authentication problem

I use Entourage on my laptop for my business account and Apple Mail on my laptop for my .mac account. Sometimes when I travel and am using hotel and Tmobile wireless hotspots, I have to turn off password authentication for my SMTP server in order to send mail. This works like a champ in Entourage, but when I try to turn off password authentication in Mail for my .Mac account, it automatically still tries to authenticate! This results in me not being able to send .Mac mail. I tested this in Entorage on my .Mac account, turned off authentication for smtp.mac.com and it works, so this is definitely an Apple Mail problem specific to .Mac. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix? I have tried to create a new smtp.mac.com account in Apple mail that does not authenticate, but somehow it changes into an smtp account with password authentication. Help.

I've been sending ".doc" files from both Mail and Entourage for some time without a problem.

  • My server is sending SPAM - how do I find out which user(s) are sending it?

I just received a notice from my ISP that some SPAM was sent by my email server. He included samples of the spam. Unfortunately I can't find any info in the spam to tie it to an IP number that would help me find if one of my users is infected.
I think I have the SMTP set so that it can only be used with authentication. We have had this set up for some time now (over two years at least) and this is our first instance.
I'm concerned that one of my users on a PC is infected and using their smtp authentication to send this stuff.
Any advice on where to go from here?
I have included the results of postconf -n to see if I have any configuration problems.
    Thanks.

A list of the emails was sent to me, but I'm not sure there is enough header info in them to tell me what I want. However, I searched the log for the "from email" and found some at about the same time in the log. Here is the header and the parts of the log dealing with this email address:

I'm not sure how to read the log file. Is there something here out of the ordinary? Does the server consider these valid users/email?
