Can't send email or auto populate address field

I don't send very many emails from my Blackberry, but I went to send one today, and realized that I can't.
When I compose the email, and start to fill the address field in, it seems to heistate like it is searching the address book, but never actually completes the field.
Then when I finish composing the email, and try to send the short menu doesn't even have an option to send, neither does the full menu. My only options are Help, Select, Check Spelling, Clear Field, Save Draft, Delete, Flag for Follow Up, Add Bcc, attach contact, attach file, edit autotext, options, show symbols, switch applications, and close.
I have tried power cycling the unit, and even pulled the battery and replaced it.
Any clues?

I had the same problem and here's how I solved it:
In the message view, select options>general options. Set the "Show recent contacts when composing email" to "no". exit and save.
I toggled back and forth between the yes and no setting, and the autolookup works fine when set to "no" and stops working when set to "yes". Everytime.
Now, I'm not sure what the purpose of "show recent contact..." setting is. It doesn't do anything when set to "yes".

Backend order entry auto populate address fields

hello Guys,
we are getting orders by phone that i enter manually through the admin section of BC.
the customers have accounts with with their contact details saved.
until now i have been manually entering the delivery details on each order.
is there any way to have this populate the fields on these orders when i am in the backend. it seems a bit strange that i have to enter the address details for each order when i have the customers details stored in our data base.

I'm looking to Auto-populate address fields after selecting a name from a drop-down. iPad compatability not required. Most of my users will be using Acrobat Pro or Reader on a PC. I'm generating the files on Mac Abrobat X Pro.
Is there an updated tutorial link someone knows about by chance? The above link no longer has a tutorial on it that I can see.
Or, if anyone can direct me to a javascript or something that I can modify with my data list, that'd be great! I've been looking all over the place, and have been struggling to find something that looks like it would work the way I want it to. I need the data list to be self-contained inside the pdf doc, not sourced from an outside database.

Can't send email using different IP address subnet

Hi, in our office using different IP address subnet, like this :
10.254.1.xxx and 10.254.3.xxx
And Our Server Exchange version is 2007, using IP address 10.254.1.xxx, but when from another IP like 10.254.3.xxx can't send or receive email, and get error (on some pc that using SeaMonkey) :
An error occured sending mail : The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: 4.3.2 Service not available, closing transmission channel.
Someonce can help me, please..

we not found any log files here.

Can't send emails from a btinternet address unless connected to a WiFi network

I am a UK user with an iPhone 5 and Vodafone as my ISP. After installing IOS 7 both gmail and btinternet addresses continued to work well until I upgraded to IOS 7.0.2 since when while I have been able to receive emails with a btinternet address I cannot send when not connected to a WiFi network and 3G makes no difference - gmail will still receive and send however.
Does anyone have a solution please?

Really hard to diagnose without being there, but check with your friend that they don't have any softward filters on wireless router that block ports etc. If it's not your friends wireless, it could be something much more simple like needing to just restart your ipad to reset settings. Good Luck!

Can't send email from .Mac alias address

I have been using an email alias with a .mac account ever since aliases were enabled.
I am able to get mail sent to that address, but there is no way I can send mail from it. Its not an option in Mail apps "From" list. Even when I reply to an email send to the alias, when I reply to it, the From address defaults to my main .mac email address.
When I go to icloud.com, I see the correct alias is listed there.
I did a search here but didnt find an answer. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Try deleting the email account in Mail's Accounts preference pane
and then add it back. That will automatically enter the correct server addresses.

I have an Exchange 2010 SP3 with several email accounts classified in domains and each doman in its database. Recently we delete one database and all email account from one domain (for example testmail.com). Now, this domain works outside our organisation,
they can send mail to us but when we send mail to them, the email stays in our server queue with this error message:
"the recipient's mailbox has no
mailbox database"
The queue's name is "domain is not reachable".
I think that our server is still trying to send the emails to testmail.com inside our Exchange server instead of looking outside. The DNS resolutions works correctly and there is nothing relatively to testmail.com in our server now.
I have not touched anything using adsiedit, first of all, I want to know if I have to do something using EMC or powershell.

Didn't you forget to remove/change status of the evicted domain from your Accepted Domains list?
"Organization Configuration - Hub Transport - Accepted Domains" should list only domains that your Exchange is directly related to. Here are the configuration tips:

How can I send email to my entire address book to notify of new

Moved to new house.
Old DSL gone.
New Cable Modem.
Want to notify my large entire Apple Address Book of contacts of change of email address.
Used to be a notify preference in Address book? No longer there.
Also, when I paste my addresses into an email via Address Book plug in, message completes but server ultimately doesn't send.
What's a good way to do this?

Ah, I should have made that clear. My domain didn't come from google. It was purchased at and is hosted at dreamhost, but I haven't used their email servers in years - I just route everything through gmail. I actually have a bunch of domains (with websites).
Gmail has an option that lets someone with custom domains send (and receive) email through gmail using the custom domain once Google confirms proper ownership of the domain (to prevent spammers and such). Gmail has a setting for "send email as" which allows gmail to be sent using a custom domain as the sender. I'm pretty sure Apple's old mobileme had this feature too, but I didn't use it.

Usually 'authentication required' means that you need to submit a username (or e-mail address) and password to the e-mail server, when sending a message. This logic is not different between Outlook and Thunderbird, and even with the latest and previous version of Thunderbird.
Of course you can try the previous version again to see if it solves the problem, although you'll be less secure because you would be missing the latest fixes.

Try closing the Mail app completely and see if it works properly when you re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Can't send email from Outlook with parentheses in address

I can't send email from Outlook 2007 through my WRT400N when Outlook displays the address with parentheses as in this example: Firstname Lastname ([email protected])
I can send if the address is in this form: Firstname Lastname <[email protected]>
I have tested with the ISP and nothing gets through the router when the problem occurs. When I bypass the router, both forms of address will send correctly. This problem is perfectly reproducible. My router is brand new, but the problem did not show up for about a week after installation. OS is Win7. Any ideas? Thanks.

I cannot receive emails on my ipad but I can send them. When I try to fetch emails a pop up box tells me to says verify your incoming email setting in settings. I have, it is correct as I am receiving emails on my iPhone with the same incoming address. I have tried deleting it and putting it in again but that does work. The wifi is working fine when using the Internet. Has anyone any ideas what is happening and how I can rectify the problem?

Can I send email using my own domain address with iCloud the way I can with gmail?

Let's say I own mydomain.com and have a [email protected] email account. I have set that up to forward to gmail, and that would be easy to switch to iCloud. Here's the tricky part: gmail allows me to send email as [email protected] I've been doing this for years and it works, but I'd like to switch from gmail to iCloud. Can I set up this same behavior with an iCloud @me.com address (which I already have but haven't been using yet)? I know I can obviously switch the forwarding of incoming mail to my @me.com address... but can I send [email protected] email through iCloud the way I can with gmail? All of my devices are Apple: a Mac Mini using Apple's Mail app, and an iPhone and an iPad both using the Apple email app, so I'd rather switch everything over from gmail to iCloud.
P.S. Awe, c'mon Apple. Don't turn those fake addresses into links. I just used them for the sake of giving an example.

How can I send email from my HPEPrint email address, to other addresses? Is the HP photosmart 5010 smtp compatible?

The eprint service is only used for incoming emails to the eprint center which then go to your printer, you cannot send out emails from that address.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, things have gotten progressively worse now in another direction. After I posted this, I shut down my computer to go to work. It had to "rebuild" the filevault sparseimage to recover space.
Now when I restarted it, I am missing things from my dock, ? marks are in their place, all of my preferences have been set to some default AND this is the biggie - I have no mail accounts whatsoever. When I click on Mail, it asks me if I want to establish a new account. It looks like the FileVault action has totally screwed up my system.
I tried rebuilding the permissions as recommended above using safe boot. Didn't help. I am now trying to repair the FileVault sparseimage as recommended elsewhere. I think I now see what the problem might be. I have two different sparseimages for the same account with the only difference is that a 1 is appended to the second one. Unfortunately I can't tell which it is. I have a feeling I should repair the 1st one (without the suffix 1). It must not be able to open that and hence that is why it made a second one.
Any other help anyone?
