Can't send Form content as PDF

Hello there!
I'm just starting with LiveCycle Designer (and LC as a whole) and am feeling really lost with the lack of information for absolute beginners.
Right now I'm trying to build a form to be distributed among clients and then sent back with filled in information.
I create the form in Designer, set the delivery format as PDF, save as PDF, open in Acrobat to extend user rights.... but when I test the form, .... I get the info as XML.
I tried it over and over and always got the same results. I´m getting reeeeealy frustrated.
Please, please, help!
Thank you very much for any ideas.
Marcos

Hi Srini,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Well, in a way, yes, I have done that but in a differente way (please see picture), but... I cannot find this submit tab though.
I've tried to get it back by refreshing the tabs positions but it did not work.
Thank you!
Marcos

  • Second mail service configuration or others transport protocols to send form content

    Hi
    we actually use the mail service for several forms. We have now a new requirement, where we need to use a different target for one specific reporting form.
    Questions are:
    Is it possible to configure a second mail service (other mailhost)?
    Is it possible to integrate others transport protocols to send the content (SOAP/REST Webservice calls, JMS Queue Producer, externe HTTP/POST calls)?
    Do you have another suggestion?
    Thank you
    Best regards
    Stéphane

    Hi Stéphane,
      *  AFAIK not possible with OOB to configure 2 mail servers & need to implement at project level. You might need to create a custom email service. Example  http://helpx.adobe.com/adobe-cq/using/creating-custom-cq-email-services.html
      *  One of the option to make external calls is to utilize WorkflowExternalProcess http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/javadoc/com/day/cq/workflow/exec/WorkflowExternalPro cess.html
    Thanks,

  • Can't export form to fillable PDF or move to online!

    I have been messing with Forms Central for the past two hours trying to get my form to export. After reading I assumed it was due to not having a paid version so I just subscribed for the Basic plan and I still can not export anything. The error message I am recieving is the most unhelpful error, "Acrobat.com encountered an unexpected error."
    This occurs when I try to export as a PDF or when I try to move it online. I have tried running in Admin mode, updating flash but I am still having no luck! Please help.
    EDIT: UGHH my email is my screen name.. Is it possible to change that as well? I don't want a flood of spam heading my way.

    In that case I will need more information from you.
    What is the version of your desktop version of FormsCentral?
    Did you download FormsCentral or you are using the one that came with Acrobat?
    After you signed in, did you get an update message? When did you do your last update?
    If it is possible, would you mind give me your email address by sending  a message to [email protected]?
    Thanks

  • Can't Create Form From Existing PDF

    I received a PDF from a woman, it is a form that I can print out and snail mail. I decided to convert it to a PDF fillable form as it would be faster and cleaner to fill out...I can't. I am getting the following error and it's not just her PDF, I get this on any file I convert to PDF and tell to create a fillable form of. I didn't have this problem until I upgraded to CC  and installed the latest Acrobat version.
    Error:
    "Acrobat was unable to make this document accessible because of the following error:
    Bad PDF; error in processing fonts. <bad Type0 font> [1]
    Please note that some pages of this document may have been changed. Because of this failure, you are advised to not save these changes."
    I don't know what font she used nor the program, I don't have control of that short of asking her to change the font so Acrobat will play with it. One could assume she used the exact same file she made the previous year and just updated the year and date on it which, using my previous version of Acrobat would work fine at creating a fillable form.
    Enquiring minds want to know.
    Thanks

    If you are adding/modifying ejb-jar.xml outside JDeveloper and trying to see the changes.
    Save the ejb-jar.xml file which is being modified externally
    Select ejb-jar.xml in JDeveloper
    and do View | Refresh
    This will load in the changes (providing the source path has been set properly)

  • Can we send an FOP generated PDF by email in PL/SQL code?

    Hi All,
    I have the FOP PDF generation of a report. We can "Save As" to the hard drive and then manually email it to someone by attaching it to the email.. normal..
    Can we click a button on the report, save the report as PDF and send it through htmldb_send emailing?
    I would think this would be in the htmldb_fop_render.jsp file.. not know JSP much.. has anyone done it? or are the tools available to JSP?
    Thanks, Bill

    This can be done with a little PL/SQL coding.
    Presuming you are using this guide:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/notes/technote_htmldb_fop.html
    I would look at:
    1. Changing pdf_GrabXML to simply return your XML call into a page item without posting it,
    2. Use the OWA_UTIL PL/SQL package to post your request, and handle the retrieved PDF.
    3. Send the email with the UTL_SMTP PL/SQL package, as I don't the APEX mail libraries expose attachment functionality.
    I will try to put an example together tomorrow if I get chance.

  • Send form contents to asp

    I am totally stuck. I have three form components, name,
    email, comments that I want to send to an embedded email address
    when someone clicks the submit button. My site is hosted on an .asp
    server that uses the AspMail component. I assume I have to extract
    the form components using action script and then send it to an asp
    page on my server which then sends it to the mail application on
    the server. But I have no idea how to do this. Please
    help!!!

    I'm slowly getting the hang of this. So, I do have an asp
    processing page and I want to send several form field contents,
    some user definable, some hidden, to the process page. Here's what
    my code looks like so far:
    on (release) {
    formData = new LoadVars();
    //set your variables in your LoadVars Instance
    formData.user = Name.text; //or whatever your form component
    is
    //create LoadVars instance to receive reply
    replyData = new LoadVars();
    replyData.onLoad = myReplyFunction;
    //submit the data
    formData.sendAndLoad("
    http://www.mysite.com/process.asp",
    replyData, "POST");
    The visible form fields I have are Name, Email, Comments and
    the hidden fields are _recipients, _subject, _replyToField. How do
    I format the code properly to send all this data to my asp page?
    Thanks again for your help!!!

    Look at named anchors.
    Click a link, page scrolls  to the named anchor point.

  • Send form like pdf

    Hi,
    I have form and I need to send form in PDF format to specific mail ...
    in the start user must select check box :
         when user select 1 check box option subject mail is Name 1 + address2 ....
         when user select 2 check box option subject mail is Name 2 + address2....
    My problems (sorry I'm beginner), is button for send form in the PDF format ...
    I create one button for each subform like (click event) :
    --------------- subform1 -----------------
    var oDoc = event.target;
    oDoc.mailDoc(
    bUI: true,
    cTo: "[email protected]",
      cSubject: form1.page1.subform1.Name1.rawValue + " " + form1.page1.subform1.address1.rawValue
    ------------------ subform2 -----------
    var oDoc = event.target;
    oDoc.mailDoc(
    bUI: true,
    cTo: "[email protected]",
      cSubject: form1.page1.subform2.Name2.rawValue + " " + form1.page1.subform2.address2.rawValue
    But that work only for option 1.
    When select on then check box option 2 and press button - don't work.
    Can i set one button for all form (and where put it) , where mail subject will be value from actual subform , and format form="pdf" ?
    Thanks ...

    I have solution :
    in each subform create a Button (Object -> Field -> Control type -> Regular)  with click event :
    var vSubject;
    var vCC="";
    var vBody="";
    var vEmail="[email protected]";
    // Create subject from subform field :
    vSubject = first_name.rawValue + " " + last_name.rawValue + " - born : " + born_date.rawValue ;
    event.target.submitForm({cURL:"mailto: "+ vEmail +"?subject=" + vSubject +"&body=" + vBody + vCC,cSubmitAs:"PDF",cCharset:"utf-8"});

  • I can't send email with Adobe acrobat 9.2.0 and Windows mail

    Hi, I have the problem mentioned in the subjet: I can't send e-mail with pdf attached from Acrobat 9.2.0...when I click on the envelope acrobat tells me it can't estabilish a link to Windows Mail (latest version).
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance.
    Massimo.
    Ps: I try to use the search funtion but without luck.

    Andrea. Just fixed my issue.
    This worked for me.
    1. I deleted my iCloud account from Mail settings on my iPhone and iPad. Make sure to keep all information in your iPhone
    2. I then went back to settings and chose iCloud instead of mail and logged in using my Apple id (.mac). It asks you to merge data (say yes)
    3. I went back to Mail setting and then iCloud account. You will notice apple Id reverts back to (.mac) address but if you select Account <apple id> and look under advanced the email address under mail will be your new (.me) address.
    Hope this helps. I've been trying for 5 days. Just make sure to add back iCloud through the iCloud settings and not through Mail settings.

  • Sapscript form print as PDF

    Hello,
    is there a way to setup a printer that we can print sapscript form into a PDF file?
    We don't want to go over the spool request and use RSTXPDFT4.
    I have already setup a printer with device type PDF1, Host Spool Access Method F:Printing on Frontend Computer and Host Printer __Default. But for some reasons it doesn't work. We are running SAP Enterprise 470.
    Any help?
    Thanks
    Anne

    You must choose a FILE printer. See these notes:
    [Note 576973 - Creating a file printer on a Windows PC|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/576973]: steps to add a Windows (if it's Vista, see note 1164132) printer of type Generic/Text only, and to create an output device in SAP to print to this printer. It does not explain that we may just change the port of an existing printer.
    [Note 1164132 - Front-end printing on Windows printer with FILE port|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1164132]: note 576973 applied to Windows XP and before, but it doesn't work anymore on Windows VISTA because the dialog box to enter the file name is no more displayed. A change in SAPGUI 7.10 was made (and it works only with access method G) to display a SAP dialog box to enter file name.

  • Sending multiple content??

    How can i send multiple content at the same time in web application?? I need to send many HTTP Post to respond the request that i received. Can i juz use a servlet?? any tips & trick?

    multiple content means many content. what i mean is i hav to send a lot of content in the same time 2 the operator. The request come from the handset using sms but passed by the operator to my application using HTTP get. It may be a lot of request come to my application at the same time, means that i hav 2 send a lot of content as its responds.
    Unfortunately, that my application must send the content one by one to the operator using HTTP post.
    If i can bundle it into one HTTP post, i can do that. But i must send it one by one in short time, what should i do?

    Hai!
    I'm new to website building, but i already came a long way
    i made a form and i like to send a auto reply with the form content (if that isnt too difficult) to the person who filled it in.
    The form i made is in PHP (coding i copied partly from someone from the internet .)
    You can see the from at: http://vinddit.nl/vindditnu%20php%20version.php
    My PHP coding so far

    Whould it also be possible to send the sender the submited data (looking like the filled in form or so)?
    not really nessecary but whould be a nice  jextra
    You can but you would need to send it as an html email which is much more complicated.
    What you would do is build a page/table construction like below. You would need to use the php variables to echo out the information in the <td></td> cells (example below).
    $reply = $_POST['email'];
    $from = '[email protected]';
    $replysubject = "Auto-Reply: Website Name";
    $headers  = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n";
    $headers .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n";
    $headers .= "From: $from\r\nReply-to: $reply";
    $replymessage = '

    mail($reply, $replysubject, $replymessage, $headers);
