Can't send MMS after iOS 4.3 update on 2 different iphone 4s

Me and my sister both own a iphone 4, we updated to 4.3 via itunes. Now we both cant send any MMS, the bar will go half way then get a ! mark saying it didnt send.
-1 phone is on rogers, 1 is on telus so they are on completely different carriers!
- we both did restores, reset network settings, everything.
In fact I just did another complete restore, didn't use any backup and sent a mms, nothing!
Anyone else having problems? Thank you for your inputs.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, at least now we can wait for a fix from apple about this, seems like there's always something wrong with each new update.

  • Can't send mms after updating

What is going on? I updated my Spring 4s to iOS6 and now I can't send MMS's to people NOT via iMessage.

For what it's worth, I'm having the same problem with my iPhone 4S. I can only send MMS to other iPhone users. Attempting to send it to non-iPhone users results in a failure and retry, over and over. There is another thread on here where we're talking about it:

  • Can't send mails after 10.4.6 update

Well, the topic pretty much says it all. After I upgraded to 10.4.6 I can no longer send mails. This happens with three completely unrelated SMTP servers, so I'm pretty sure it's a Mail problem. Receiving mails works without any problems and excepte the return of the ugly bubbles everything else is working fine as well.
I already re-entered my login values, didn't change a thing.

I didn't even update. One day Mail just stopped sending mail. Can't remember doing anything specific. Looks like a common problem these days from having read several discussion boards. I'm on the bandwagon. Reinstalled, created new accounts, triple checked, checked with ISP, disabled password authentication...
I even tried downloading another mail program, Revolver, but that can't send either, so I'm stumped, both recieved mail just dandy. In Revolver it gives a better hint to the problem "SMTP Error 103 (Name Resolution Error)", Doesn't help much though. As I understand, 103 is just a general error anyway.

  • Can't send MMS after update

Ever since the update my Tbolt won't allow me to send picture messages to anyone on any carrier. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to fix it?
PS- I use Go SMS Pro as my day to day messaging app, however, even in the stock HTC messaging app it will not allow me to send pics.
    Thanks

I finally had a reason to send a mms message and it worked for me.
Have you tried pulling the battery, taking out the SIM card for a few minutes, and then putting on back together again?
Called Customer service and verify that you don't have a block against MMS messages on your line?
Not sure what it was but for some reason today it's working. I have 2 extra battery's so i do battery pulls a couple times a day to switch them out. Not sure if that's what fixed it but all is good now. Thank you both for the suggestions

  • Can't repeat songs after iOS 5.1 update

After updating my iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1, I can't put my playlists or songs on repeat or shuffle. None of the icons appear on the now playing screen. Even the Genius and Ping icons don't appear on my screen. I've tried everything including googling the answer and rereading the current iPhone 4S manual to no avail. If someone can help me, I would be very grateful for that assistance.

Sorry if you already knew this, but when you are playing a song you have to tap the cover art to reveal the additional controls (tapping again hides them).

  • Can't send email after 1.0.1 update on yahoo

Am I the only one with this problem. As soon as I applied the 1.0.1 update, my outgoing email stopped going out. I can receive them fine, I get the confirmation noise when I spend the time to type out an email and hit send, but the dang thing is neither in my Sent folder nor did it go out to it's recipient. I saw one post of someone who was having a similar problem, but I really expected this would be more widespread if it wasn't just my problem. I'm halfway across the country right now, so don't really want to go to a nearby apple store until I get home. But I'm sick and tired of not being able to respond to my email on my phone. I feel crippled without it.
FYI, yes, I've reset the phone, both via iTunes and via the home + power button reset. Nothing's worked. I've removed the account, re done it, and I'm still seeing the issue. Should I go and spent my time at a Genius bar while the genius does all the same stuff I just did?

Yeah, I put that in the title so hopefully people would see it right off the bat. I've been in the forum, looking at threads since the update to see if I'm the only one, and seem to be. I know tons of people are seeing problems with yahoo pushing email, but that's less of a concern to me at this point. And the fact that it worked just fine until this update tells me Apple broke it with their update. Surely I'm not the only person. And switching to gmail is not a good option for me. First of all, I hate gmail. Second of all, the sbcglobal account is my main mail account for my dsl line and I use it heavily. I don't want to switch. Shouldn't have to in my opinion.
I was in the Promenade in Santa Monica earlier, was going to ask a "Genius", but the wait to see one was ridiculous. couldn't get an appointment till Monday. I'll wait till I'm back home to go the apple store I guess. It just frustrates me because I seriously doubt they can do anything at the store I haven't done already.

  • Occasionally can't send mail after 2007-005 security update

Mail gets stuck in Outbox on occasion after installing 2007-005 security update. Need to quit Mail and restart for mail to be sent. I am using Google mail.

What are your smtp mail server settings?
Lots of trouble with people using smtp.mac.com on port 25 in the last week. If that is your setting, change to port 587.
If you don't use smtp.mac.com, disregard this advice.

  • I cannot send emails after IOS 8.3 update

I have tried everything even going to the extent of deleting my email accounts and trying to add them back but guess what???? now it won't let me add them back.

I Had this same problem but just found a fix.
1)turn off Touch ID for App Store purchases
2)turn your phone or tablet off and then power it back on
3)go into settings iTunes & App Store and then password settings and make sure you have a purchasing time option selected
    4)turn on Touch ID
Touch ID should now work for App Store purchases.

  • So, I can't send MMS messages to non-IOS users.

Actually, I can't send MMS successfully without using iMessage. Since anyone that doesn's have an iPhone doesn't use iMessage, directly what am I supposed to do?? This has only been an issue today but it's a ridiculous issue that Verizon seems to refuse to get a handle on. I am connected to WiFi, and even when I'm not, that changes NOTHING!!! So what do I do to fix this? Better yet, what does VERIZON do to fix this? I don't see how people fork over hundreds of dollars a month for services that don't work and customer service reps that offer no help....

Clearly there's a wireless concern that warrants our immediate attention here NoToleranceForShenanigans! Let's look into this together. May I ask what zip code are you in? Are you able to send texts to the same number without any issues? How much available device memory do you have on your iPhone? As you share the details then we can troubleshoot.
    Thank you…

  • I can't send email after iOS7 update...

I can't send email after the iOS7 update....this is a show stopper for me.   When is a fix expected?

First it would help if you explain exactly what happens when you send an email.
Do you get an error message?
If so what does the message say?
The abilitly to send or receive emails does not fall on Apple or the IOS 7.
You email provider gives you that ability.
Double check and make sure your outgoing mail server is correct.

  • Can't send mail on iOS 5 devices with iCloud

A long time ago I signed up for a .Mac trial to use that address with iChat. The trial expired, and, as expected, the address continued to work with iChat, though it no longer functioned as an email address. It then came to be my Apple ID. Now, having set that Apple ID up for use with iCloud, my iOS devicess are having trouble sending, and only sending email from my iCloud address. The reason is this: I logged into <username>@mac.com for iCloud (as that's my Apple ID), and everything set up right except the mail address that iOS Mail thinks I have. It thinks the mail address for the iCloud account is <username>@mac.com. When I send mail to <username>@me.com, my iOS devices get it just fine, but when I try to send mail back, it tries to send it from the @mac.com address, and therefore fails as that is not a valid email address.
I've tried to go into the settings and change the email address that it uses for iCLoud, but with no luck. I see a place to change it, but it is grayed out and won't let me select it and bring up a keyboard to change it.
Is there any way to tell it that it assumed the wrong email address for my iCloud? Or is there no way to send iCloud email from my iOS devices?
    Thanks in advance!
P.S. I can send mail via iCloud from the web app and from Apple Mail (OS X Lion), but not from iOS devices because of this glitch. I can also send mail from iOS devices using other email accounts (Gmail, Yahoo).

I found a work around that works.   Got to Settings...Icloud....account......advanced....outgoing mail server.....
    Add an "other" server.
    Host Name p01-smtp.mail.me.com
Put in your me.com email address as username and your Apple ID password
    SSL is on
    Authentication is password
    Server port 587
This worked for me.....I will use this until the bug is fixed.  (you may need to use p02, p03 etc)   Don't make this server your primary.   Leave it in "on" status in the other category.
    Good luck

  • IPhone 6 screen freezes and can't find wifi after iOS 8.0.2 update

iPhone 6 screen freezes and can't find wifi after iOS 8.0.2 update. Have to do a hard reboot. I am Extremely disappointed and lost ALL trust in Apples Quality Assurance. From now on I'll wait a week before I update.

    Hey there Shortos,
It sounds like your phone touchscreen is not consistently working for you after updating to iOS 8. I can see how that would be pretty frustrating. It sounds to me like this could be a software issue or an issue with the screen itself. I would start with the troubleshooting in the following article to help troubleshoot the screen itself:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Troubleshooting touchscreen response
    Restart your device
Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
If you can't restart your device, reset it by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for a least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Avoid using the device while wearing gloves, with wet hands, or immediately after applying hand lotion.
If you have a protective case, or if you are using a plastic sheet or film on the display, try removing them and testing the device without it.
If that does not resolve the issue, I would next quit all the running apps on the device:
iOS: Force an app to close
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the very best,
    Sterling
