Can't send or delete an email in Office: Mac/Outlook

I know this isn't a purely Apple question, but I have nowhere else to turn. Microsoft has the lousiest website and customer support on the planet.
In Office: Mac, Outlook, for some reason. there is a hidden email (that doesn't appear in my Drafts folder) that I cannot locate or delete. Every time I click my Send/Receive button, it tries to send the file, then I get this error message.  This has been occurring for weeks, and I can't find the email to delete it. Any solutions?

    You do not need .Mac in order to send photos by e-mail. It sounds like you use ATT as you internet provider. Have you configured Apple Mail to be able to send e-mail yet? Can you send an e-mail text message OK?
    If you haven't yet gotten Mail configured to work with your ATT account a quick call to ATT should give you all the information you need. Setting up Mail is easy.

    Presuming the Post is about the Messages app and iMessages.
    If you delete them they are gone or the Mac.
    An iMessages arrives  and is displayed in the App.
    there is a setting in the Preferences > General section about Saving on Close.
    The iMessages are also stored in the chat.db items (unless deleted) and this provides the "history" when you reconnect to a contact who is not currently on display in the main window.
    In Mavericks Saved Chats and the chat.db items (there are three in total) are held in different places.
    The app does not work like Mail where the emails can be left on the Server and "read" by other devices.
    The iMessages are pushed to the devices that then accepts them.
    After that the "sync" function ends (What you do with the iMessages on one device is not seen or changed on another)

    If you migrated from MobileMe, try deleting the e-mail account in your mail preferences and adding it back again. You will only be required to enter your password and the ID, the setup should add the correct settings and hopefully this will resolve your problem.

    Yes, but you shouldn't.
    Here's how.
    Export the Slideshow to the FInder - a process that will make a QuickTime movie of it.
    Attach that movie to the email. Send
    Why not? Videos are very large files. Most Internet providers have a limit on the largest file you can send. Sending one too large means it can bounce back to you. ALso, even if the other person can receive it, downloading large files via email is slow, and can even cause crashes on some email apps on older systems.
    Intead of emailing it, upload it to DropBox, YouTube, Vimeo, or any other sharing site and send the person a link.
    Then they can download it themselves

    You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
    They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

  • Can't send or receive iCloud emails

    Since I have moved house and can not send or receive iCloud emails due to a new router possibly!  I have added a new Smtp.mail, changed the port settings to 25 and back to Port 587.
    The reason for all this drama is I have received on connection failed "p06-SMTP.mail.me.com". Can anybody give me a simple solution to this annoying problem? It's driving me mad.

    My original [email protected] works correctly on my iOS devices.
    The one Apple has reserved for me [email protected] does not send or receive e-mails on my iOS devices.
    An alias I created [email protected] works just fine on my iOS devices.
    I can see all 3 address under the icloud settings on the devices but the only 2/3 work fully.
    So I was thinking because I have not had the e-mail from Apple confirming the switch from me.com to icloud.com then the [email protected] is not active yet. (However I can log into my Apple ID using the it).
    Hope this makes it clearer.

  • Contact can only send iMessage to my email, not my phone number

    Since Apple released iMessage my friend and I have been iMessaging. As of yesterday, I can still send my friend iMessages as usual, but she can only send iMessages to my email (I have "Receive at" set to my phone number and email, Caller ID set to my phone number). If she tries to send an iMessage to my phone number, as she did before, it will only send as a Text. All of my other iPhone contacts can still send iMessages to my phone number. We've each tried rebooting and switching iMessage on and off (we both have iPhone 4, IOS 5.1.1) without any luck. I realise that iMessage is still technically working with her sending to my email, but we just don't understand why sending to my phone number has suddenly stopped working. Grateful for any suggestions.

    It sounds like something has changed on her end...
    Is she sure she has iMessage turned On? Because that scenario usually occurs when you get an email text from a regular cell phone, i.e. iMessage may be Off on their end.

    No, only Messages to other devices with the Apple Messages app. With Continuity the Mac sends the SMS to the phone via wifi/BT and the phone actually sends it.

    It sounds like your Messages app is becoming unresponsive when you try and delete a message. I would try closing all the running apps on the phone first.
    iOS: Force an app to close

    Double-click the Home button.
    Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
    Swipe the app up to close it.
    When you have done that restart the phone:

  • I can't send with non-icloud email address

    I'm on OS X 10.9.1, and can't send emails using a non-icloud/mac email address, in Mail. I can recieve emails addressed to my non-mac email address.
    I've had this problem for several years, and there didn't seem to be a solution to start with. I was hoping the issue might have been fixed by now, but I still haven't been able to find a way to configure Mail so that it will work.
    This is very annoying, because the non-mac email address matches my website and my email signature, so it is irritating that I don't look professional when sending or replying to emails for my business. It also makes automatically organising emails into mail boxes (work and personal) impossible.
    In preferences > accounts > account info, I have both addresses separated by a comma. I can't see anywhere else I can put it.
    I'd be very grateful for any wisdom on this!

  • Can't send an edited draft email in ios 5

    When I reply to an email, save it as a draft and then return to it to send it, the send button is greyed out. It only turns blue if you either add another recipient or delete the original recipient and then put it back in again. I can add text to the email but I just can't send it without going through those two steps. Any ideas how to fix this would be appreciated.

    Same problem here - this worked for me:
    Hit the home button and return to the desktop.
    Double tap the home button
    Email icon (and other recently used icons) appear on background task bar.
    Long press the email icon until it wobbles a d displays a red minus sign then release.
    Tap the red minus sign to close email completely.
    Press home button to return to home screen.
    Open email and you should be fine.

    I use the Apple Mail client to view email accounts from yahoo and godaddy. I can receive mail on both accounts, but can suddenly send mail on neither account.

    In the advanced tab imap is empty on mine as well port 993 and ssl checked is correct enable this acct should be checked.
    Your outgoing (SMTP) server should be smtp.mail.yahoo.com: your email address here. Try clicking use only this server for testing purposes. You may try writing down all the info in accounts pane for this account, and delete it and then recreate it using the + and - buttons in the accts left side bar. One other thing is that yahoo is not going to be using "classic mail" as of early June, you might want to click the "Try New Mail" button on the web mail page if you are still using classic. I did this as well during my issue with this with yahoo. I don't know if this had anything what so ever to do with it, but I was just going thru everything. I recreated it all so I can not be certain what exactly fixed it.
