Can't send or forward email since 2.02 update

Past couple of days haven't been able to forward or send emails via my 3g iphone; just realized have had problem since 2.02 update--anyone having this same issue?

Hi Karen,
I've been dealing with this issue on certain servers since 2.0 came out. My friend made an appointment at the Genius Bar and for 1.5 hours they tried and finally replaced her iPhone. Even after replacement it still does not work for receiving. The problem has gone to engineering and we are waiting for an update.
We are using a small server (atanda.com) with offices in Oakland, CA. Here's what I know so far:
Everything works fine on wifi, it's only on EDGE there is a problem. If you are using EDGE most of the time you can send email using the outgoing server settings:
cwmx.com on port 25 with no SSL and no authentication.
As for the incoming we are waiting to hear from engineering. My friend in Germany used my settings on his iPhone and there was no problem sending or receiving using T-Mobile (no wifi).
All this info is assuming you are using a POP account on a small server. If not, I have lots things you can do from 20 calls to tech support including many transfers to Product Specialists as well as a couple of hours of head scratching at the Genius Bar.
Good Luck.

Having problem sending photos by Email since I upgraded to iLife11.
I followed the instructions.   I used to just select my photos and then a screen would come up to compose an email.
Now it comes up with templates and I had to set up what account to send them from.  No matter what I do, it just
    never goes thru.
    What's the solution?

Set Mail as your preferred email client in the iPhoto Preferences -> General

  • I can't send or forward emails on my Curve 9360

    Hi.
I have 3 emails set up on my curve. I went to set up and set all 3 of them up and I receive messages on them but if I try to forward an email I got or compose and send a new one, I get the red X.
I thought I did everything right in activating the email addresses on my phone.
I can't figure out how to solve this. Can someone help me?
    Thanks.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS configuration for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.
    Good luck!

  • TS3899 I can't send/reply/forward emails from any of my email accounts.

The tool bar is missing from the top of the messages.

If the icons are missing, go to inbox and swipe the email to the left, then tap more. Now you can reply, forward, etc. IF the icons are still missing you can send letters from contacts.

  • Can not send HTML formatted email since Mavericks?

    Hi..
I was using Thunderbird happily in Mountain Lion and all was well. But as soon as I upgraded to Mountain Lion I can no longer send any HTML formatted emails at all. Everything I paste into Thunderbird get instantly converted to 'plain text'. Apart from manually editing basics like font colour, italics, bold I can't do much else.
'Compose messages in HTML' is checked across all accounts, and 'Delivery Format' is set to 'Rich Text HTML'.
Yet thunderbird refuses to render any pasted HTML formatted material.
If I can not find a solution to this I will have to find an alternate mail client as rich formatting is critical for me.

I just wiped Thunderbird completely from my system (Mavericks) and reinstalled from scratch. Yet still it will not render any HTML pasted into an email copied from Safari.
I did however manage to paste HTML from Firefox and then Chrome into Thunderbird and they both rendered perfectly.
But.. things get a bit strange. I am able to copy HTML from any webpage opened in Safari and paste it into a Googlemail email also opened in Safari and it renders fine.
This is such a pain as Safari is my browser of choice and Thunderbird my email client of choice. But they just don''t want to work together in Mavericks.
    :((

  • How can I send and forward emails on my iPhone5 now that Hotmail has changed to outlook/exchange?

Hope someone else out there is having the same problem! I can do everything on my iPad, just like before, but I only see and can delete emails on my iPhone. There is no toolbar or anything else to work with. I have deleted the acct. and reinstalled several times, but it's still the same issue. Help....

re: supplied image of 2014.sbd file
Yes the files (no extension) these are mbox files and have different sizes so they must contain emails.
I also notice that all the '''.msf '''files are a different date and firefox files instead of text file that look same as the mbox file.
In your Profile folder, Mail, Local folders - Locate the file you showed us in the image.
Close Thunderbird now - this is important.
Delete all the files that show a .msf extension.
    Restart Thunderbird.

  • HT1338 can't send mail MacBook Air since Mt. Lion update?

MacBook Air, cannot send e-mails since upgrade to Mt. Lion?

Ok - this is a weird one. Looks like something zapped my Gmail SMTP account, and defaulted to "none" for SMTP.
Had to completely build my Gmail SMTP settings again.

  • Since upgrading to IOS8 I can't send or receive emails.  Can I uninstall?

Since upgrading to IOS8 I can't send or receive emails. Can I uninstall?

    That's strange.
I bet you updated your iPad without using iTunes.
    Anyway
No, you cannot uninstall iOS 8 and downgrade to iOS 7, but you can try reinstall iOS 8.
I would suggest you to do it from DFU mode.
Here are some things you need to know before proceeding:
You WILL NOT lose your photos, messages, notes, reminders or anything on your device.
If you choose to backup on iTunes, you will NOT lose your Apps. Anyway, if that happens someway, (it shouldn't happen, don't worry) you can download them later for FREE.
    Here's how to proceed:
-First of all, as usual, do a complete backup of your device either on iCloud or your iTunes (i personally suggest iTunes. If iTunes asks to backup Apps, agree.)
-Put your device in DFU [While the iPad is connected to iTunes, press and hold both the home and the power button. When the Apple logo appears, release the power button and keep holding the home button until you see the iTunes logo on the iPad screen.]
-Once your device is in DFU mode, iTunes will automatically detect it as an iPad in recovery mode, so it will ask you to restore your iPad.
-Click on Restore and accept iOS 8 terms and conditions to continue the installation.
-Wait for iTunes to download and install the software.
-Once your iPad restarts, you will be guided to the configuration of your iPad. When it asks you if you want to configure it as a new iPad or restore from a backup, choose the iTunes or iCloud backup depending on where your backup is.
-Wait for iTunes to restore your device.
    You're done!
Now test your device and let me know if everything works well!
    Cheers, @tooFrozen

  • Can Anyone View/Read FORWARDED Email Text?

I can't open/read forwarded emails. They show up as what looks like a document symbol and the words 'mime-attachment'. I know it's a Forwarded Email from the introductory text from the person forwarding it and the 'FW:' in the subject line. When I tap on the symbol or the 'mime' text, nothing happens and I can't read the forwarded email.
I also tried forwarding an email to myself and got the same result: 'mime-attachment' and a symbol, all unreadable. Anyone else have this? Any solutions, thoughts, etc.?

I asked this question in a different iPhone (HoFo)
forum and got no replies. It's irritating that I
can't read forwarded emails on my phone. My brothers
send a lot of forwarded emails and I have to wait
till I can get to my PC to read them.
Is there a place to report these kinds of issues?
This has No. 1 spot on this discussion thread: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
It's a feedback form just for iPhone. Fatboy - I just bought my second Fat Boy, with the 96 inch Engine, 6 Speed and 200 mm back tire - my 'old' one is a '99, so has 80 inch Engine. BIG difference - the new bike is excellent (with Rhinehart pipes...)
