CAN'T SEND OR RECEIVE FILES THRU BLUETOOTH:(

just bought my macbook white last month. everything was fine until this morning when i tried sending files from my phone to my mac. it keeps saying that no device was found. when i tried sending files from my mac to my phone, the same happens.
i could send files thru bluetooth to any devices previously so i'm wondering why i can't do that now? as far as i know, no bluetooth settings was changed. i'm using a wireless mouse right now but it has it's own bluetooth dongle which i plugged into the usb port so there's no problem with that.

I can not receive files via bluetooth from other external devices nokia, samsung and other than apple. I can send files to them but not receive. What is the problem?

I sucessfully transfered files from my Nexus4 to MBP via Bluetooth
1. Go to system preference and select Sharing.
2. Check the Bluetooth sharing.
3. Specify directory to which you want to recieve files from Blue tooth device.
4. Turn Blue tooth off and make it on.
Your MBP is now ready to recieve files from Andoriod phone.

Receiving files through Bluetooth

Have got a N73 and it has just stopped receiving files through bluetooth and infared even tho I can still send using these methods

I agree with taffy. It might sound dumb but it does work. Tried and tested it. In my case I just turn off the blue tooth signal on my phone first then try it. If it works good for you if it doesn't restart your phone (just yours. Again, if it works good for you if it doesn't try restarting the other then reconnect.

I'm afraid not.
This is the safties way, when you receive some files via BT. You should have control over it. In otherway someone can place some unwanted, dangerous file e.g. virus.
You can decide, delete it or record, and where. But notice, that when you open such a BT message, phone recognise art of file and prompt you where it store.

Hi, if you have created an ePrintCenter account and added your printer to that account you can check its ePrint job history. At least that will give you more visibility to the status of any jobs you send to your printer via the ePrint service. Receiving the "no reply" confirmation message only indicates that the email you sent was received by the ePrint service and is being prepared for printing.

Email stopped working--can't send or receive

My email stopped working yesterday. I had tried to send a large file --ppt.-- and it sat in the outbox and wouldn't transmit, so I deleted it. Since then I can't send or receive email. My wireless system is OK; I'm on Firefox now. How can I fix email? My O.S. is Leopard 10.6.7, laptop is MacBook Pro.

My email stopped working. When I upgraded to IOS6 on a 4s. Well, nothing changed but the os, and I finally figured out that when you put in your user name, you have to put in the @yourprovider.com
When they wrote the code they forgot to add the little piece of code that would translate and transmit your user name with the @provider.com.
Once I changed it to [email protected] it immediatley started working

Messages will not send or receive files.

My messages app picks and chooses when it will send and receive files. Usually they are images or videos but also some Pages documents. Bringing up the file transfer window shows the spiraling download bar for receiving files and sending files will say "sent 0 kb of ____" and not move. Is there anything I can check to

Using a JSP I have to send and receive files from this machine to another machine. The destination machine contain some BAAN implementation, which take the files I send as input .

I am getting a problem in my application. I will state the complete problem in detail. I have to transfer 3 files from one NT machine to unix machine some where kept in net work, I used an ftp in 'Process p = getRunTime().exec("ftp -i -s:ftp.txt")'. In ftp.txt file I have given the necessary things for ftp to unix machine. The files are transfering into the unix box. When I to the process for the 2nd time I have to check whether the file are exists in the unix box, then only transfer the files. Now, again I am doing ftp bring the files from the unix box to NT machines using 'Process p = getRunTime().exec("ftp -i -s:ftp1.txt")' where ftp1 contains all the necessary things for ftp to unix machine . Now I am checking for the files available in the NT machine using boolean=(new File(filename)).exists(), Fine out of 3 files, 2 file shows the return type as 'true' and one file is showing 'false', even the same happens if I delete the 3 files after checking, out of 3 files, 2 file shows the return type as 'true' and one file is showing 'false'. I went to the folder where I am bring files from and removing the files manually, one file is showing share violation, one process is using the file . I am unable to resolve this problem, will this code what I write is acceptable if not suggest any other code. I have sending all the snippets of the programs. I am doing this in the development environment like this. My production environment is totally both are unix machines.

Help!!! My text application on Blackberry Torch 9800 disappeared!!! I can't send and receive texts :-(

I need your help!!!
The application to send and receive text does not appear on my phone Blackberry 9800 anymore... So, I can't send and receive texts...
I tried lots of things but the problem is still existing.
I have one error message everytime I turn on and reset the phone: "Uncaught exception: Index 14 >= 14" !!!
Any idea of what to do???

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
There's pretty much no diagnosing those -- they are the equivalent of the random errors in Windows for which tracing the root cause is fruitless. Basically, these are the last out in the programming code -- some event occurred for which there is no handler in the code. The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
Sometimes, the code simply becomes corrupt and needs to be refreshed -- just like a reboot:
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
If it won't boot up cleanly, then you may need to try Safe Mode:

The toughest possible cause is a badly behaving app. To find it, there are a couple of options. One is to see if you can read the log file:
Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type).This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info. Alternative methods for bringing up the logs are in this KB:

The other method is to remove apps one at a time, waiting a while in between (I usually recommend a week), until the problem ceases...thereby discovering the offending app. Still another method is to reload the BB OS cleanly, leaving some time between adding other apps onto the BB so as to be able to determine exactly which one is the cause.

Cannot send nor receive pix thru BBM since I upgraded BB software. PLS HELP!!!!

I upgraded my Blackberry Software 2 weeks ago to the v.5.0.0.900 and ever since then, I haven't been able to send or receive pix thru BBM. I can send and receive thru email, MMS and even upload to FB. It's only thru BBM that I'm having problems with the pictures. I already made several resets and even contacted my service provider (Tmobile) and they told me to refer to the BB forums Can anyone PLEASE help?????
