Can't send photos with a text message

Every time I try to send a photo from my Camera Roll with a text message it thinks about it for an interminable time then drops leaving an exclamation mark next to the message. It used to be ok but stopped about a week ago. Any ideas anyone?

You're not alone! I have been searching for resolving this problem but I still have the problem.
Things you might want to check is that MMS is "on". Get to this by settings- messaging.
Check that "cellular data" is on.
try to power the iPhone off for a few minutes, then turn back on.
The only thing I have not tried is to reset the network. What I have read is that it wil not affect contacts, media, music. Tap settings- general, then scroll to the botton and tap reset, then tap reset network settings.
I alo wanted to mention that I have no problem sending a photo in an sms/mms message to other ios devices. The photo and text goes through. It's just with other reciepients that have a different device.
I also have Verizon as the carrier and I tried the *228 to program. My phone is also supplied by an enterprise, my work, and reading this Apple troubleshooting, the APN (access network), could have something to do with it on the settings or configuration of the server.

Probably not as such apps generally must be loaded onto both phones. Send the photos by MMS or email. No apps required.

Can't receive or send photo's in text messaging

I need some help here...I have a MotoG that I just purchased. I have unlimited text and calls and plenty of data. I am connected to 3G network. But I can't get or send any pictures!!! I get an error message that reads, "cannot download message". So frustrating!! My wife has the same phone and has no problems! I have tried to power off and restart but it didn't do anything. Please advise!!!

Help is here, aaron042! I understand the importance of being able to send and receive picture messages so lets see what can be done to fix it. Have you tried to delete the text message thread and sending message again? Does this happen with every message? Share additional details so that I can better assist.

I have an iPhone 4 and as of lates I can not send or receive any text messages.

For the past week or so my iPhone 4 stopped sending and recieving text messages and imessages. My imessage only works when I am connected to wifi. I have data and unlimited texting on my cell plan. When I am not connected to wifi my phone tell my that my cellualr data is off but when I checked it in the settings, it said it is on. I dont know what to do. I have reset my network settings already. But nothing seems to resolve my problem.
Also, my phone has iOS 7.0.6 if that helps.

To check your warranty status, find your serial number in Settings > General > About > Serial Number. Then enter it at http://selfsolve.apple.com.
Did you try a different computer/outlet as well as different chargers?

I updated my phone the other day to 4.3.4 and now I can't send photo messages? Or is there a new way to send photos?

Like the title states, I use to be able to go to a text message and click the little camera image to the left of the text box and select or take a photo, now that option is gone. I tried going to my photo library and click on the options button to send as mms but I only have a print option, email, assign as contact ID or use as wallpaper.... No mms option.
Where and how do I send photos in a text message again. Seems like we're back to square one again.

I still haven't gotten this issue resolved. I have the last generation 3GS if that helps. I updated the phone about a week or ago and I can't send or receive media texts. I had this option before I downloaded the update and now I can't send or receive media. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This has just happened to me. All photos form 3-5 (approx) days ago are gone. :---( An icon is there but the photo doesnt appear.

Why won't my iPhone 5 send pictures in a text message?

Ever since I updated my phone I can't send pictures in a text message. It just freezes right before the staus bar is all the way across the screen and then I have to send it as a text message. Sometimes after I do that the person I am sending it to gets both pictures.

Mine is doing the same exact thing. It has that red exclamation mark. Can someone please help?

Are you provisioned by your phone carrier to use MMS? Do you have MMS turned on in settings?

Also MMS is supported on a carrier by carrier basis. While mostly every carrier does support ths feature make sure that your carrier allows this functionality.

Can't send photo text from iphone 4s to non iPhone

I have a 4s iPhone but can't send photo text message to husband who doesn't have iPhone. Can send to people with iphone though. Need some help...

I've been having problems with texting pictures since I updated to iOS 7 too but have yet to find a solution that actually works. I have also tried to reset my phone numerours times, have MMS turned on, etc. It doesn't matter if I'm trying to send the picture to another Apple user or not.
It usually takes about 3 or 4 tries to get the picture to go through, but in many cases I have to turn my phone off then back on for it to work.
PS - I am in Canada & my service provider is Bell. However I don't believe it is a Bell issue as I didn't have any problems until AFTER the update. Had hoped the latest update this week would've fixed it but if anything it seems worse.

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss)

It is peculiar, that Chrome, Safari, and Skype can access FB, but not the iPhoto uploader.
Do you see any error messages/ diagnostics in the Console Window, when you try to connect to Facebook?
Launch a Console window from Applications > Utilities and clear the Console Window. Then try to upload. Are there any new messages?
And also launch a Terminal and have a look, if "facebook.com" is properly resolved:
