Can't send sms to multiple contacts!

Since ios 4.2.1 I'm not able to send sms to multiple contacts!
When i've added about 8 contacts I'm not able to clivke on the + button. I have to click on "back" and then click on my sms contact list to be able to click on + button... Someone else have this problem? Is it an ios 4.2.1 bug?

I am having the same problem since upgrade to the new ios, however, i am able to get around this by using the keypad and entering the first letter of the next contact. this brings up either the normal contacts list or a scrolling version of the contacts list. This is also causing problems as the scrolling version often extends outside of the menu window and you cannot add contacts at the top of the window as they slide back out of site. this problem is now getting worse as i cannot now scroll the names down at the top of the list. needs a fix

I can't send sms to two or more contacts. This problem appeared approximately one month ago when I was in roaming in India. At that time I thought this is probbably somehow connected with the networks in India. But now I'am back in Slovenia and I still has the same problem. Of course I can send the same sms to each person separately with no problem. I have to stress that before my visit to India I have no probelms with sending sms to two or more contacts.

have you checked the condition of your SIM card and also that your network carrier settings are correct? also check with your network carrier your area of phone network coverage and reception strength in your area.
if that all checks out fine, then try performing a soft reset (pressing the volume down buttons until the phone vibrates), after checking that you are fully up-to-date with all the latest Nokia system app updates in the Store, and have installed the Portico update if it is available to you.

Can't send sms to some contacts

I have had a blackberry curve 8520 for about 18months and not had any issues, then recently it has stopped sending SMS messages to some contacts - can anyone help with this?

Can't Send SMS to Mutliple Recipents

Iam unable send text SMS to even two contacts at a time.
While sending its displays a message " Can't Send Message". I have gone through many threads with this issue and checked all ( as below) but no solution yet.
1. I have tried making the group text setting button On & Off, but no solution.
2. I have talk to the network service provider also, where they are of opinion that it is someting related to phone only which they cant help. They informed that if by their available network & settings Iam able to send sms to single contacts then it should also be able to send sms to multiple contacts, as setting for both is same. No extra settings required for group sms. Also they confirmed that for sending SMS to one or more contacts, phone doesn't require any MMS settiings as sending text /sms dont use internet at all.
3. I have also installed "Network Setup Appp" as read from many threads. But I could not underand why it is required when it has nothing to do with internet or mms.
Now I require nokia to understand this problem & clarify what exactly need to be done.
Very disappointed that lumia cant do a simple thing like group/bulk sms which is available in even all simple phones.

If you (want to) use MMS;
1. Have MMS configured properly
2. group text setting button ON
3. Recepients must also be able to recive MMS
Without MMS;
1. group text setting button OFF
2. add contacts one by one using the circled plus icon next to the TO list
3. This will just send a sms to each contact separately.
This should work find as it does for most anyone I know. I doubt that there woudl be an issue with the phone here.. maybe try using another network/SIM and see if that works..

Can't send SMS to contact's work number

I have imported contacts from blackberry and most of my contact numbers are saved under work section.
i am unable to send any sms to contacts whose number is listed under work. I can send SMS to only contacts listed under mobile.
I do not want to manually set all my contacts from work to mobile one by one. Is there any solution?

Unfortunately not.
it is actually a good thing that it disallows home and work numbers because generally speaking, unless you have Comcast in the USA, you cannot send SMS to landline phones which are home/work. Otherwise everytime you go to send SMS to people with mobile and work, etc., you would have to choose the number to send to.
in order to get to send these SMS, you'll have to change them appropriately.

I can't send sms to people not in the address book!

I've just bought an iPhone 5s and noticed today that I can't send sms (or imessage) to people that isn't in my address book!
If I put the contact in the address book there's no longer a problem, and if I take it away again - it's a problem again.
I'm out country if that have anything to do with it (gonna try again when home of course), but I've tried everything with the country code and it just doesn't work unless the contact is in the address book.
Is it bugs in the system or just me?

I've just realised, further to my earlier question - that the people I am trying to text do not have Iphones? Could this make a difference? (Although I have text them in the past)

That's more likely to be a carrier issue than an iPhone issue. You should each contact your respective carriers.

IPhone 5, I can't send sms to iPhones

I can't send sms to another iPhone (undistributed message). IMessage is working and I can also send sms to other phones.
On settings/messages, sms are activated when imessage turns off.
I need help, how can I fix it ?

Hey there lrllt,
Since SMS works to phones other than this one, we should be able to resolve that on the phone. First check to see that your phone number is set to start new conversations, rather than your iCloud email address.
iOS: Troubleshooting Messages - Apple Support
If your iMessages didn't transmit as SMS when iMessage was unavailable for use
Go to Settings > Messages > Send as SMS and turn on Send as SMS.
Select your phone number when Sending iMessages in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Start New Conversations From.
Make sure that you can send SMS with Settings > iMessage turned off.
If that is not the issue, then use these steps from the same article:
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact from the Contacts app. Send a new message to the contact.

Iphone 5 not sending sms to 1 contact

bought the iphone 5 last month and i am on EE. about 2 weeks ago my phone stopped sending sms to one contact. I receive theirs but they never get mine. ive reset phone back to factory settings, reset network settings, deleted and readded contact and still nothing. EE claim its common problem with iphone 5 on this ios setting but have no info on how to fix it. any help is greatly appreciated.

It says they are sent from my end, no exclamation marks at all. The other person has got a nokia (i think, looks like an imitation of the blackberry) and is on tesco mobile. i have gone through their phone and theyve not blocked me, i can still make calls to them fine. As far as i am aware, this is the only contact they dont send to. I have looked online and have seen some iphone users claiming it is a glitch with the iOS setting??

how do i send emails to multiple contacts w/o posting them individually. previously i would hold down the "command" key and they would all go to the "to" area?

Enter a group name from your address book at to, cc or bcc and mail will fill up the group members with a valid email address. If a contact has more than one email address, you can choose which one you will use.
There are also some preference im mail under compose for handling the address book and groups.
Please consider, not everbody wants his email shown to other! Maybe you should enter your own mail address at "to" and your contacts at "bcc".

5800 can't send sms

I have a 5800 XpressMusic V-21.2.025 (the last avaible in my contry)
From few days ago i can't send sms, I checked the message centre number and it's ok, i try my sim card in another phone and i did send sms, i put in another sim card in my 5800 and i did send sms, when i put my own sim card back into the 5800 i started to send sms but few ours later i couldn't.. i made a hard reset and nothing... what can i do?

Contact your airtime supplier and ask them to send settings to your phone and install, this normally works.

Welcome to the support forums!
The error you are seeing is normal, all it means is that the list will be truncated meaning you will not be able to see the full list of people in the CC field but you can add more and it will send the message to all of them.

ACTIVATING FACETIME AND IMESSAGES
Activating Facetime and Imessages on your phone requires the ability to send SMS messages and depending upon where you are that might be an international SMS. Check with your carrier to see if your plan supports sending of international SMS messages. If you are having trouble activating Facetime or Imessages turn them both off on your device and reset the device (Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost)). Wait for the device to restart and wait a minute and turn Facetime and imessage back on and wait for activation. If that does not fix things read the following articles:
