Can't send workout data to Nike

I have a 2nd generation, 4G ipod nano with the sport kit. When I finish a run, I get an error message from iTunes stating that my workout data cannot be sent to Nike. I have a feeling that this is problem lies somewhere in the settings on my computer (Dell/XP with McAfee) but I'm not computer savvy enough to know how to fix this. Ideas?

I tried all that before I deleted my 6 music files. Actually, before I did all that, I connected my ipod to another computer that I had not yet added the 6 songs to itunes. I wnated to verify that it wasn't the ipod or the nike+ site. The data did indeed upload. That's when I determined the only difference between the computer and itunes that worked and the one that didn't work was the presence of the 6 songs. After deleting these 6 songs, I was able to upload additional data and access the nike+ site from the "former" non working model.

I have a new sensor and I can't get itunes to send the workout data from it to the nike plus website. I had no problems with my old sensor. I have made sure that the box is checked in itunes to automatically send workout data to Nike Plus, but it doesn't prompt me for my username or anything. Nike+ Sensor & Can't automatically send Workout Data

Hi,
On my old ipod touch I had it set up to automatically go to Nike and update my workouts. Now I'm using a new ipod touch and iTunes Help tells me to :
a) complete a workout -- check
b) connect my ipod to my computer -- check
c) when device appears in iTunes select it and click Nike + iPode button -- check
d) Select "Automatically send workout data to Nike+." -- NOT A CHOICE I CAN MAKE -- I CAN'T FIND THIS CHOICE !!
Has anyone else had this trouble and what's the solution?
I am using the latest software on both the computer & iPod and their is an unsynched workout on my ipod touch.
Any help would be great.

Hmmm, sounds weird. If someone else has experienced this maybe they will jump in here, but if not, you can always call Nike+. Surprisingly they answer their phone quite quickly.
Anyway, here's my shot at it:
I will assume you have downloaded the Nano updater ( http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ ).
I would eject and disconnect the Nano (perhaps restarting my computer) and close iTunes, then reopen iTunes, reconnect and see if the box is available.

Nike+ site! The trick may be getting past the server
dragon which sends out a warning saying, "Your
workout data could not be sent to nikeplus.com
because the data could not be accepted by the server"
when it does not like the data it is sent.
For example, my runs that did not post had something
in common: when I read these xml files with TextEdit,
both have a line that says,
"<stepCounts><walkBegin>0</walkBegin>". There's also
a line that tracks steps run. It also said zero. Of
course, these lines should NOT read zero, because I
was not starting at zero steps! My guess is that this
anomaly makes the Nike+ server either reject or
delete these runs because the step count does not fit
my other runs.

I just got the dragon today. "Your workout data could not be sent to Nikeplus because iTunes received an unexpected response from the server. Please try again later." Did you ever find out why this happened to you? I went on nikeplus and it did in fact upload my latest run. Now my goals are blank on nikeplus.

Uploading workout data to nike+

up until sunday 28th Jan all was working fine. it's now 31st Jan and i'm having problems uploadind workout data to Nike+.
Message comes up "site temporarily unavailable try again later". has been like this last 2 days. Is anyone else having this problem now? or is it my system?

i dont think its your system nor is it the itunes software but simply the nike + website not working at the time you tried uploading your run data. but to be sure make sure your oprtion to automatically send the info to the website is checked thru itunes.

Create the transformation for each target and connect through DTP if you are in BI 7.0
If it is BW 3.5 create transfer rules and load it Info source and then different update rules for different targets then load it using IP.
If you are speaking about loading data from R3 data source to multiple data sources in BI
Then follow the below step.
1)create init IP's and run the IP's with different selection to different DSO(With same selection it is not possible).
2)Then you will have different delta queues for the same data source in RSA7
3)Your delta loads will run fine to different data sources from same DS in R3.

After conferring with a colleague, the following response may help:
The Smart Form doesn't have any special integration in WebDynpro.
Therefore the application should implement it especially.
Steps:
1) Call of Smart Forms in mode GET_OTF
2) Convert OTF to PDF
3) Show the PDF in WD Context Node

How can I send registeration data from Mac machine to NT machine?

How can i send or post data from Mac machine to NT machine without using browser? I m stucked. I want to register a customer from Mac machine by a container i.e. Form having awt components etc. and send it to NT machine to trigger it into SQL Server. Can i use Servlet for this purpose? The problem is client machine have Mac and no browser. But host machine is NT based.

Can't upload workout data

Hi,
I'm having trouble uploading the workout data. I get a can't connect to nikeplus.com error. However, when I sniff the network, I find the following problem. The computer attempts to connect to phobos.apple.com and retrieve a file named nikeBag.xml.gz. However the server returns file not found error (see sniff data below). Anyone has an idea how to work around this problem? I'm using iTunes 7.5.

Can I send large data as a stream in request or response

I have to send a large amount of string data as a part of request to the web service provider. I cant send it as a simple string object as it will lead to OutOfMemory error. Is there any way so that i can send the data as a stream to the web service provider? I couldn't find anything in web service specification where InputStream data type is there.. so is there any alternative to send large amount of data to web service provider?

How do i resend workout data to Nike?

I have an Ipod mini, 7th generation, with Itunes version 10.7
I am having trouble synching my workouts from my ipod to nike+, i am only able to get them to upload some of the time and therefore have a large gap in my Nike+ profile of rus that i have actually done. I can still see the runs on my Ipod and the data also shows up in the Nike+ screen, but i cant get them to sync over to the actual Nike website, is there a way to resend this data?

That didnt apper to help, although what i think has happened is my ipod and itunes think the data was sent but Nike+ never recieved it. But i can still see the workouts on my ipod, just not in nike+

How can I send post data through nsurlrequest?

I'm working on an application which needs to make requests to a php gateway. I tried many examples I found on google, but none of them worked for me.
First I was working with GET, and it worked just fine, but now, as I need to send more complex data, GET isn't a solution anymore. I have three params to send: module which is a string containing a php class name, method: the function in the class, and params for the function which is usually an indexed array.
The following method makes the request to the server, but for some reason, doesn't send the POST data. If I var_dump($_REQUEST) or var_dump($_POST), it turns out, the array is empty. Can somebody tell me, what am I doing wrong? Is there some kind of a sandbox, which prevents data from being sent to the? I also tried to send some random strings, which aren't json encoded, no luck. The sdk version is 5.1, and I'm using the iPhone simulator from xcode.
If it is possible I would like to solve this problem without any additional libraries (like asihttp).

Unfortunately, you are dealing with a number of different technologies that have been cobbled together over the years. You could write a PHP server that would respond correctly to this request, but not using basic methods like the $_POST variable. PHP was designed for HTML and true forms. What you are trying to do is make it work as a general purpose web service over the HTTP protocol. You can do that, but not with the form-centric convenience variables.

I have written this type of low-level server in PHP using the Zend framework. I don't know how to do it in basic PHP and wouldn't bother to learn.
Also, you should review how you are sending data. I changed your example to send the appropriate data and content-type for the $_POST variable. If you had a server that could support something else, you could use either JSON or XML, but your data and content-type would have to match.

Above i m using
p_blob blob -----to send message as attachment now i have table containg data into clob format nw if i send it as it is just changing coulmn from Pblob--- Clob
then it gives me error at UTL SMTP WRITE RAW DATA...
for that i do wrkaround as i m taking data from table as clob convert it to blob and
send as attachment ...
can any one guide me little that is this approcah proper?do i really need to convert data from clob to blob?

SMTP itself is straight forward. It is a delivery protocol. And very easy to implement. Which is what UTL_SMTP does - without bugs or errors (none to my knowledge and experience using UTL_SMTP extensively for a long time now).
The problems experience are 50% of the time, incorrectly using SMTP. The other 50% of the time, incorrectly constructing a Mime Internet Message Body for SMTP to deliver. Both are issues that the caller (app code using UTL_SMTP) needs to address.
As UTL_SMTP is program-driven, it is not that easy to play with and debug the conversation with the SMTP server - and figure out just what the SMTP server expects, not like, disallows, etc.
In order to make sure that you are having a proper/valid conversation with the SMTP server, do it interactively using a telnet session on the Oracle server platform. All you do with telnet is to send the very same PL/SQL coded SMTP commands and parameters to the SMTP server - but interactively.

Simply substitute the SMTP parameters you use in your PL/SQL calls to UTL_SMTP above. And use the same SMTP command sequence as you do in your code.
Note that in the above case, the SMTP server quite happily accepted incorrect and undeliverable sender and recipient addresses. Which means that the e-mail will wind up in the Big Bit Bucket In The Sky. No errors.
