Can't separate raw files from jpegs in my ipad iphoto...

i recently purchased iphoto for my ipad but i cannot separate raw files from jpegs. i can see them all in my imac and save all files properly, but then i would like to erase raw files and keep only jpegs in my ipad but cannot find how to do it! any help? thank you!

yes I am importing pairs raw+jpeg using the camera connection kit. for what I understood reading the entire discussion you suggested, the solution is, after saving the files elsewhere, to delete the photos, but ipad would erase only raw files, leaving the jpeg. but I tried with one photo, and after deleting it, the photo was gone entirely!..
also, I still cannot see both pictures (raw and jpeg) in my ipad iphoto. i can see them in my imac iphoto, but it seems the program runs differently according to the device.. that would make things so much easier for everybody!
a button 'select all' would also be appreciated I am sure!

Bridge will do the job. View > Sort > ByType. Then you can choose a group of one type and put the files in a separate folder.

I installed cs5 last night, and I am trying to open just the raw files that I imported into iphoto, but cant seem to find a way to separate them. In ps, when I go to open them up, they all appear as if they are jpegs, even though they sit in pairs (jpeg and raw). Any help would be great! I am a new mac user, and I think I am in way over my head here. I didnt think this would be that tough, I usually adapt to software pretty well. thanks!!! There is an advanced option to send the raw file. Root through the preferences. You can also export (to the desktop, say) and set the kind to original.
To *find* your raw files you can use a smart album.

In the simple and short form, what happens with the ACR (Adobe Camera RAW) module is that it gets updated with regularity, to accommodate the camera mfgr's. changes for their newer models. That ACR works within the host program, such as Ps, PsElements, Lightroom, etc.. At a point, Adobe ceases to support older host program versions. When that happens, the user has a few options:
Upgrade the host program version
Use another host program, such as PsElements or Lightroom
Use the free DNG converter, per Curt's suggestion. That is not host program dependent

ACR 6.7 would be for an older product, PS-CS5 or PSE10 or PRE10.
What does Help / About Plug-ins… / Camera Raw… show in PS-CC for a version for ACR and is there more than one version of ACR in the Help / About Plug-in list. Help / About Plug-in is what I’d do on Windows; I’m not sure if the menu path is the same on a Mac or not.

Tried updating Camera Raw plug-ins for d800 but keep getting error message: Update failed, Adobe Application Manager may be damaged. Re-install the latest application manager but still the same error message. How to fix?

What operating system are you using?
The newest version of camera raw for pse 12 is version 8.4, which should open the canon 70D files.
Have you tried Help>Updates from within the pse 12 editor?

1. Upgrade to PSE11
2. download the free Adobe DNG Converter and then convert your RAWs to DNG, which will open in PSE9
3. Use manufacturer's software and convert to TIF (or JPG)

Hi. I just uninstalled pse 12, installed pse 13 and ran all updates. I still can't open raw files from my Nikon D5200, which is a supported model. It works on a Vista system I have with pse 12, so it definitely isn't the camera. Any ideas?

The D5200 has been supported since midway through PSE11’s life, so PSE12 and PSE13 should work ok.
I’d suspect that the NEFs have been touched by Nikon software which can rendering them unrecognizable to Adobe products. You can test for this by using Explorer to copy a newly shot raw file from your memory card to the computer and then see if that will open, making sure no Nikon software has viewed it or been involved in the copy process.
If the files are corrupted, then a utility from here can reverse it:

You would need to update to PSE 12, or just keep using the DNG converter. Your camera requires ACR 8.4, which isn't compatible with PSE 11. It's also not compatible with PSE 12 if you are running Vista or XP.

Doesn;t look like the 6d is supported yet. I'm surprised, thought it would have been in the latest update, 4.02.
In the meantime you can shot RAW+JPG and use the JPG's now and then switch to the RAW's once it is supported or else you an convert the RAWs to DNG using Adobe's converter and import the DNGs.
While I can't say for sure Canon cameras are usually supported fairly quickly so hopefully you won't have to much longer to wait.

Your files should open in photoshop elements 12, since there is only one version of camera raw 8.5
(RC means a release candidate of 8.5, which came before the final version of camera raw 8.5 and was for testing)
In the pse 12 editor if you go to File>Open and select one of the lumix GH4 and then press Open, what happens?
