Can't set a custom ringtone

so I just got the Lumia 1020 and I wanted to change the ringtone that it came with. I tried connecting it to my PC and following instructs on how to do it. So when I went to open up my ringtone + settings I did not see the new tones that I had just synced in. I also tried getting it sent to me through text but that still did not work. Someone please help!

when you transferred them to your device. did you transfer the sounds to your ringtones folder?
you could also try changing the genre to ringtone and then putting them in that folder.
I have not had any issues with that. just be sure in the ringtones folder.

I can't delete a custom ringtone

I recently updated to ios 5 and can't change my custom ringtones. I had one on the phone, then I created and tried to add 2 more. Now only one of the new tones is on the phone, and the old one is gone. Long story short, I can't change anything about my ringtones. I can't delete that ringtone off of my phone, and I can't add any new ones. I've even deleted that tone from my computer and iTunes and I still can't get it off of the phone. Thanks for any help

6. no way to delete old ringtones

Hi everyone! I got the Samsung Reality, and -sadly- the Data Package that is requiired to go with it. I don't have any texting plan, but I want to use a custom ringtone (from my computer). I know we can send a text message to ourselves using free websites such as Ventones, but that would mean i have to pay for the picture Text message because I have no texting plan.
Is there another way I can get custom ringtones onto my phone without sending a text message or downloading them from the APP? There are some korean ringtones I found online that I would like to use on my phone.
I was dissapointed that the songs I put onto my phone could not be used as my ringtone. Could I email myself with an attachment of the song file (usually 30~35 seconds long), and set it as my ringtone? Or is that virtually impossible (if its impossible to do it without texting, how much would a text message with a song attached to it cost me)? Any help would be appreciated!

Picture messages without a texting plan are 25 cents each. Better than the $1.99 or $2.99 from the online store....
Attaching to an email would not work as mobile email does "do" attachments.
Sending to your online album will use text messages, I believe. Better to use a micro SD card, save to the card, and transfer them to your computer that way.

Can't set a custom distance

I've been using the Nike+ for about 3 months with great success. Today it stopped allowing me to set a custom distance. I can use any of the presets, but it turns any custom distance I set to "3Km"
Any way to fix this?

I have the same problem too. The last time I had the option to change the time..I set it to 45 minutes and started my workout...it still would only say my workout was for 20 minutes. Now, nothing. I can only choose to change for calories...even when I do, my goal is always a 100 calories. Please help!!!

you dont need a mac but i know you can do it within garrageband (free on all macs), you could proably just use a file converter program of some sort to convert to the correct format within windows (have never tried doing it in windows so cannot comment to much on this subject)

Can cells set to custom format appear differently on different versions of MS OFFICE?

I'm currently involved in a data enrichment project where we convert some financial data for our clients in excel. We've been facing a problem with date formats in the reports sent to us by the client.
We're supposed to enter 4 different dates in separate columns with 3 different formats. For example in one column the date format should appear in the dd/mm/yyyy format and in another as dd-mm-yyyy. What we've done is set all these cells to CUSTOM format
and in the TYPE dialog in the Custom Tab typed "dd\/mm\/yyyy" where we need the date to appear as dd/mm/yyyy and "dd-mm-yyyy" where we need the date to appear as dd-mm-yyyy.
However, the client says that when he downloads the file on his computer he sees the date formats set to DATE and not CUSTOM. Is this possible?
Can a cell set to CUSTOM FORMAT appear differently on a different version of MS OFFICE?
Does the Operating System also have a role to play in this?
For example if we've typed our data in OFFICE 2007 on a system with XP as the OS, will it not open as CUSTOM when we open it in OFFICE 2010 with Windows 7 as the OS?
We need serious help on this as this confusion has put our project in jeopardy.

Thanks for the help Jim. Just to make it clearer we haven't used quotation marks in the date formats. Further, we were told to use back slash by the client cause according to them this would help in keeping the date formats as fixed to custom format on any
computer that the file is opened on.
What I'm trying to figure out is that if a cell is set to a custom format, can it appear differently when opened on a different computer?
We've sent the file using Sendspace.com to our clients and when we download the file and open it on any version of MS Office we still see the custom formats in the date fileds. However, the client insists that it appears differently on their computers.
Is it possible for a cell set to a custom format to not appear as custom on a different computer?
Just to remind you again that we've downloaded the file on almost every version of Office and have noticed no change in the formats set by our team. How then is it possible that the dates doesn't appear as custom formats on their system?

Your Mac sets those resolutions (and the display NAME) based on the information your display provides when a query is sent at Startup. If those are the only resolutions shown, then your display has said that is all it can do.

I recently got an iPhone 5 and I want to add a custom ringtone to it. I created a 29-second clip of a song using a software called Audacity and then saved it as an .m4r file. Then, I tried the drag-and-drop method to add the file to my Tones playlist on iTunes; it did not show up anywhere in iTunes. Then I tried moving the file into the "Automatically Add to iTunes" folder; it still didn't work. I tried shortening the file name, and making the clip of the song shorter (to 20 secs), and nothing worked. Am I doing something wrong? Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
(FYI: I am using iTunes 10.7.0.21; I have Windows 7. I also tried using the "Create AAC Version" function on iTunes, but then I couldn't change the file type from .m4a to .m4r, so that's why I used Audacity.)

How can I set a custom Home Page while ALSO having a New Tab be the default Mozilla Page?

Why is the "home Page" = to a New Tab page? Why are they linked. I want my.yahoo.com to be my Home Page (currently set properly) but my New Tab page seems to be set to "Conduit" and has a search bar. I have no idea where that came from or how it got set that way. I want to have my current Home Page but make any New Tabs be the Mozilla Default Page with a Google search bar. Is that possible? I am running on Windows XP.

How can I set a customized view in finder set as standard for ALL folders?

As I have a large number of folders, I need a specific view in finder: symbol view, sort by program and name. I tried to use this settings as standard for ALL folders, but using the 'set as standard' button does only work for the folder I am in, but not for ALL folders. I even tried to use this settings on the hard disk level in finder, but what ever I tried, it never applies to all folders. The problem occurs on each of my devices and on Yosemite OS 10.10.1. as well as Mavericks 10.9.5. Any ideas on how I can make the 'standard' work on all folders?

Can you set a distinct ringtone for an incoming number?

We have a client with a UC560. There is a sip-based call box on extension 321 that can unlock a door. We want the calls to come a specific 7962 handset that sits next to a screen that shows a security camera pointed at that door. We would like the call box to have a different ringtone from all the other calls that come into the 7962 so that the ladies know to look at the camera before picking up the phone (which would unlock the door). Is there a way to assign a unique ringtone to an internal extension?

button 2: ext301 <---- used only for opening door.
The normal calls will go to extension 300. ONLY the callbox will call 301. Therefore when she receives calls on 301 they should only be coming from the callbox. Therefore when you assign a ringtone to that button it will ring differently for calls from the callbox.
