Hi and welcome to the forumsy hafner!
A couple of places for you to visit: Blackberry 101      Tips & Tricks
Pull the battery out with the device ON. Wait about a minute and put the battery back in. Let the BB completely restart and see if that doesn't help. Clears out the memory and refreshes the BB; like rebooting your pc.
Once your device has restarted, go to option-display-date and time-update time and set to "automatic"-BB key-save.  That will set your device to your network time.  Once that is set, you should then be able to set the alarm.
Let us know how it goes and it's great to have you here!

  • Nokia E51 - Can't set clock alarm tone

    Hey there people!
    My device is Nokia E51, and for some, bizarre reason, I can't set the clock alarm tone.
    When I choose the sub-menu "Clock alarm tone" a list of songs/audio files on the phone is supposed to load.... but nothing there. The phone doesn't even give me any options to choose from. I actually find this quite frustrating and annoying because I'm trying to do something very basic here.
    I've attached a capture.
    Thanks for helpers.

    Well the reason I asked about the large number of audio files is because it appears to be a common bug across many of nokias phones.   When you have a large number of audio files (either on the card or on the phone itself) the phone apparently gets 'confused' and is unable to load up the selection of ringtones or music files to use as a ringtone.
    The only solutions would be to either:
    1)  Delete songs until the ringtone menu goes back to normal
    2)  Do what you have done with copying it to the phone then removing the memory card to be able to select the file.. then reinsert the memory card
    Nokia just needs to get their act together. They should seperate ringtones from the music files.  This way when you go to select a ringtone.. it will ask to either choose a ringtone from a list.. or to select one of your mp3s from a list. This way keeping it seperate.  But that would be extra menus to navigate and people probably wouldnt like it.
    But if they did it that way then they could use the mp3 listings by album, artist, song title, etc to allow people to choose the music files they want as a ringtone.  It would be easier to do that then continually scroll through huge lists

  • [solved] Can't set clock right!

    Hello everybody,
    I have a pretty annoying problem here..
    I live in Ottawa, Canada, so my timezone is
    Canada/Eastern
    So at the localization part of rc.conf, I put:
    # /etc/rc.conf - Main Configuration for Arch Linux
    # LOCALIZATION
    # LOCALE: available languages can be listed with the 'locale -a' command
    # HARDWARECLOCK: set to "UTC" or "localtime"
    # USEDIRECTISA: use direct I/O requests instead of /dev/rtc for hwclock
    # TIMEZONE: timezones are found in /usr/share/zoneinfo
    # KEYMAP: keymaps are found in /usr/share/kbd/keymaps
    # CONSOLEFONT: found in /usr/share/kbd/consolefonts (only needed for non-US)
    # CONSOLEMAP: found in /usr/share/kbd/consoletrans
    # USECOLOR: use ANSI color sequences in startup messages
    LOCALE="en_US.utf8"
    HARDWARECLOCK="localtime"
    USEDIRECTISA="yes"
    TIMEZONE="Canada/Eastern"
    KEYMAP="us"
    CONSOLEFONT=
    CONSOLEMAP=
    USECOLOR="yes"
    But now the system clock is set 7 hours later than
    the real local time..
    Could you please tell me what I am doing wrong?
    Thanks a lot in advance

    Right, I had troubles with my clock 2 hours late, I did the openntpd thing and it worked

    I have found the radio station I enjoy listening to in the iTunes Radio List. Is there anyway iTunes (and my Mac) can be set to come-on from Sleep mode and start playing that Radio Station at specific times of the day?
    Any App or plug-in that does that?
    Many thanks

    Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
    1.  In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
    2.  Export the playlist (as .m3u works well).  Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
    3.  In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
    4.  Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
    5.  For "alarm" select Open File.
    6.  Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open.  It will probably be some default entry (like iCal).  Click on it will allow you to select "other."  Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
    Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time.  You don't need to keep iCal running.  If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do.  Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button.  Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

    How can I set screen saver clock which show time and date when all screen is black. Other phones have this option but I didn't find on iphone. Pl guide.

    HA!  I figured the find my iphone out!!!!! You can have more than one icloud account in "Mail, Contacts and Calendars".  So my husband's & kids' phone icloud account under "settings, icloud "is their individual @me.com account.  Set it to everything you want EXCEPT Find My Iphone.  Then under "settings, mail/contacts/calendars" you set up both accounts (your @me.com which may already be there), then add another with the main appleID and enable ONLY Find My Iphone.  Now when any of us log into Find My Iphone from any device with our main apple ID for the app store, all the devices show up!!!! YIPPEE.  I made my own day!
    I think the message I got previously was because I hadn't disabled the find my iphone on the @me.com account first.

    Hi,
    Yes, I dont think so too. However, you can set your widgets' time to different time zone. By using hot corner to activate widgets, I located the clock near the bar so that I can see both clocks at the same time (fortunately the widgets page is "semi-transparent" )

  • Can't set fsb to 133mhz

    I'm using a k7t turbo(ms 6330 ver.3) motherboard and i have no idea how to set fsb to 133.  In the manual it shows a jumper called j17, but on my board there is no such jumper.  I tried setting the clock rate through the bios, but the highest i can get is 132mhz.  any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Go in the BIOS to the Hardware Monitor Setup page.  There are two entries that have to do with the FSB.  The first one is CPU FSB CLK.  You can only set this to 100 or 133.  The next is CPU FSB Overclocking.  This one adjust the FSB one at the time.  For running at 133 FSB use the first and check if the system is stable.  then if you must, overclock (or underclock).

  • Can't change clock alarm tone (N97)

    I'm having an issue on my phone (N97) where i try to set my alarm tone to anything other than 'default tone' to wake up to in the morning, when i click on it, the loading bar comes up with "opening" for about 15 seconds,  then i get an error "Clock: Memory full close some applications and try again"
    I only did a hard reset on this phone last week, along with a complete format of the mass memory, then reinstall of apps, yes another handful of hours goven away to nokia. It is running v20
    BestTaskman is telling me i have no applications open and 40.48Mb of RAM free. how can changing the clock tone use up 40Mb of RAM???
    I can change my ringtones in profiles just fine...
    Most probably has somethign to do with the 17.5GB or so of music that I have on the mass memory, but really, that shouldn't make a difference, did they give us a 32GB phone and expect us not to use it?
    has anyone seen this or know how to fix it?

    i am getting something similar.
    Loading.....
    then memory issue can only display a few or something like that.... then just closes back to main menu.
    Also still have loads of other files in my c: and not getting much love in these forums other then reset phone. must be another way...must be...

    Seems like the sender's clock is two minutes ahead of server.
    How do I adjust to lax the clock precision between client and server. Which side do I set the properties and what are the properties I need to set? Thanks

    Pam,
    from what i have gathered while trying to set mine up, the Time Capsule doesn't like other things broadcasting a wireless signal while it is trying to do the same... or at least, the other computers in the area can only recognize one at a time.
    So, in your case, you are using your MacBook Pro to wirelessly share the AirCard connection, right? If so, your computer is acting as a router, which means you have two devices trying to connect your computers to the same network wirelessly. I think this is why your computer isn't able to "see" your time capsule wirelessly. What i would recommend for you is to hook up your aircard to a computer that is not used very often, and (if it has a wireless adapter), turn the wireless adapter off. This way, you have only one device doing the wireless connecting (the Time Capsule in Bridge mode), which will direct internet traffic through ethernet to the connected computer.
    So, in conclusion, i just don't think it's possible to do what we want to do completely wirelessly.

  • I can't set up time and date / no response or it s...

    Hi guys
    I hope You will help me.
    I purchased nokia 5800 (second hand) for my girlfriend this christmas as a present and everything is fine apart 'time and date settings'.
    When you going to 'setting' and try to select 'date and time' there is no reaction, if you trying open by clicking 'options' and than 'open' it appears straight away  'System error' message or if you trying do it from the home screen/desktop by clicking on the clock 'System error' message appears straight away.
    It is very confusing and driving me mad as this is christmas gift and she can't set up time and date.
    I've tried  update software using Nokia Software Updater and nothing
    I've restored factory setting and nothing as well.
    Please help me

    Hi monpar77
    If you are using restore factory settings in "Phone management" due to UDP = User Data Preservation feature of this device that may not be sufficient and you may need to carry out a "hard reset" as detailed elsewhere in the forum.

    As for UTC or localtime setting not too sure on which one to use yet
    Maybe someone will jump onboard and give us the low down (google it )
    UTC you choose if you have a radio-clock-reciever connected to your motherboard to keep your hardware clock to GMT (=UTC) or you set your clock in bios to show GMT --- if you use UTC, then linux will count the hours to your TIMEZONE and show you the right time for your timezone while the system is running on GMT
    as most people do not have radio-controlled time-signal recievers on their motherboards and running your clock on GMT is impossible with having windows also on the same machine --- because it changes your system-clock to the time it shows, you can easily use localtime and set your timezone

    My wife and I share the iPad. Can we set up separate accounts to log in (like on our Mac)?

    Good question, but I'm 99.9% certain the answer is "no".  Here are some considerations:
    Think of the heritage of iOS.  It really started with iPhones and maybe iPods.  These devices cost a whole lot less than a Mac.  They are generally not thought of as shared (with exceptions, of course, as is true for you).
    Think of the backup process.  i-devices typically sync with one iTunes on one computer.  How would an i-device with multiple users enstantiate this?
    Anyway, all this is to say I'm convinced you cannot do what you're inquiring about.
