Can't set mail exchange server on new MacBook Air. It used to work on iphone and iPad. Now the same exchange doesnt work on ipad and not working at all on Mac Air. It just keeps on telling me the server does not response but IPhone gets the mail!!

ITs an old Iomega 100gb external HD that has about 90gb of music on it. The Macbook has a 500gb HD. I would like to put the iTunes library on the internal HD so I have room to expand.

The only thing you do not want to do is over-stuff the internal hard drive. The OS needs some space to operate correctly, so if your iTunes library uses up more than say 80 to 85% of the internal HD's available space it may not be a good idea to transfer it over.
With that said, the internal HD will provide slightly faster access to the library than the external would, but other than that, you can point iTunes to the external drive just fine. -

The hard drive in the MacBook Air is not meant to be user replaceable. Further, the OS installed on your MacBook would likely not run the MacBook Air.
A better solution might be to use the Migration Assistant to move your data to the new computer. This comes up when you are setting up the new computer for the first time.

Can't set up Exchange Server with 3G
I'm very frustrated. I upgraded primarily so I can get push email / calendar from my work. It doesn't seem to be able to set me up. Could this be a port or settings issue at work? I was told that this shouldn't be an issue.
Yes, I've put in my email and password correctly. After clicking next it asks me for my exchange server address which I supply. It then says "verification failed". I've tried every possible combination.
We do also use exchange access through webmail. Should I use this instead of my rather long exchange address? Could it be an issue with multiple servers?
Am I the only one having problems?make sure you're entering it correctly, sounds daft but if your webmail address is
http://mail.company.com/exchange
then all you enter on the phone is
mail.company.com

I have removed your personal info, since this is a user to user forum on the open internet, not adobe support.
I'm guessing that your card had a redemption code on it. That only works once. What you need to install PSE is the serial number you got with that card. If you go to the main page of adobe.com and log in with the email you used (It totally doesn't matter if it's no good anymore as an address), then click on Manage Account, you should find your serial number there. Incidentally, if possible I would change your password now that you've shared it with the world. -
Mail slow on brand new Macbook Air w/ Mountain Lion
Hi all,
I just bought a MacBook Air last month with OSX 10.8.2 Mountain Lion. But the Mail application is annoyingly slow.
I import form a gmail account. But shouldn't be a problem in itself, should it?
I've seen other discussions, but they all involve problems after upgrading to Moutain Lion. I just got it out of the box and already it's slow.

Back up all data.
Quit Mail.
Triple-click the line below to select it:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window should open with a folder named "com.apple.mail" selected. If it does, move the selected folder — not just its contents — to the Desktop. Leave the Finder window open for now.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, you'll have to recreate some of your Mail settings. You can then delete the folder you moved and close the Finder window. If you still have the problem, quit Mail again and put the folder back where it was, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Post your results.
Caution: If you change any of the contents of the sandbox, but leave the folder itself in place, Mail may crash or not launch at all. Deleting the whole sandbox will cause it to be rebuilt automatically. -

create a new email in Mail.app
in the View menu in Mail, check the Bcc address field option
in the Bcc box in your email, type in the name of the group and then a comma. -
HT2500 how can I synch mail between an iMac and Macbook Air?
I have a Macbook Air running10.7.4 and an iMac running similar. I use Mail as local tool for my hotmail account but this means inevitably that mail is nt synched between the iMac and MBA. I want to be able to access my mail from both computers but only do so nce. I would love to be able to synch mail folders between the two so that I could keep my mail in order. Only having to read/delete once would be a further benefit
set it up as an IMAP account instead of POP. IMAP syn with server (which also means other devices using that mail sync too) where as POP doesn't modify what's on the server. most hotmail accounts setup by default as POP

GavinHaving the same issue. Iphone 4 at 5.0.1, Itunes at 10.5.1 iMac at 10.7.2. Synch session fails to start either wi fi or USB connected. Don't know if it is related, but since turning on Match the Music app crashes on the iPhone. No problems on iPad 1, though

Iphone will sync with one computer at a time. If you sync to another, then it will erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.
Make sure everything is on the new computer. -
Setting up exchange server on a macbook

I was recently given the settings to access my work calendar, contacts, and email on my iPad and iPhone by setting up an exchange account. It worked first time!
I was hoping to be able to extend this facility onto my macbook but have been unable to do so, it might not be possible as they only specified iPad and iPhone. The settings on my macbook for setting up an exchange account on my mac are totally different to that on the iPad and phone for a start there is no field to enter a domain just the server.
Does anyone know why the settings are different to the iPad?

Thanks a lot but sadly I am not adept enough to get the utility working. on the Iphone/pad platform I was told what to put where and hey presto! The caldav utility asks for input that I have no idea what the answer is.

Can't open mail after Mavericks upgrade on macbook air
I cannot open mail after upgrading to mavericks.
The mail icon appears to recognise it is open as it has the mark under it while in the taskbar alone the bottom. But that is as far as it goes, the mail window does not open to view emails. The email icon in the task bar on the bottom looks like it does when you have an application open and have minimised it. I have tried running repair disk utlity which did nothing.

I can't open Facebook photos on my new macbook air
I am able to access Facebook, and i can see images as their smaller thumbnail version, however when i click on the image to enlarge it nothing happens- the photo viewer does not open. I am able to access the usual photo viewer on my PC, does anyone know why this problem is occurring on my mac?
