Can't set up BBM - "no blackberry data"

Sorry, it didn't seem to have a spot for any details. I got a new Leap yesterday, having had a Z10 before that. They did the conversion of all my data in the Bell Store using my blackberry ID. Everything seems to have gone fine, except when I got home I tried to set up my BBM, and as soon as I hit setup, I get the message: No blackberry data. BBM is unable to connect to the server. Please try again later. I have done previous suggestion posts, and retorted the phone, I have turned it to airplane mode and waited then turned it back on,etc. I have tried it over our WIFI and over my cellular network. It worked completely fine on my Z10. I also can't connect to Blackbery Protect, exact same error message. Please help, any assistance would be greatly appreciated! It should be noted that I do NOT have the blackberry symbol in the top right corner, by the carrier strength.

FYI - just thought I'd post the ultimate resolution on this issue.I know when it happened to me, I searched this forum (and the crackbery forum) and could never find an actual solution and if you read this thread, it seems as if it was also unresolved. However, it ulimately resolved itself - about 24 hours later, I received texts from Bell (my carrier) that they had changed my plan/contract, and then suddenly the "blackberry" dots appeared on the top screen beside the Wifi signal, and suddenly I was able to set up BBM and Blackberry Protect.So....it appears that while my device was up and running, and I did have service (cellular, without wifi could still access the browser, get emails, etc.), my carrier hadn't officially "transferred" over my phone ownership I guess, and once they processed it, all worked!So, if it hpapens to others....be patient, and/or call/confirm with your carrier that they had indeed transferred it over. I thought that was covered since I did it all in the carrier's actual store, but I guess they still had to do something behind the scenes.

Hi, Limanngbana. Did you also check if your phone is set to the correct region? Go to Settings > Region. Apart from it, were you able to download any apps from the Store? Try switching your connection from Wi-Fi to mobile data or vice-versa to further check the issue. Note that some app may only be available to some countries/region.

1) Is there some method for me to set the lock mode level , such as record lock, page lock and database lock in JE?
2) I learned that there are Btree and Hash,etc , data structures , How can I set the data structure when using JE ?

I think you're confusing our DB (C-based product) with JE. JE does not have lock mode levels, page locks (it does not have pages), or database locks. JE only has the BTREE method, it does not have the HASH method. For JE, please be sure to reference the JE doc page:

I can't set up BBM on my nokia lumia 730

Every time I try to set up bbm on my Nokia Lumia 730 it just keeps rolling and says "setting up Bbm" please help.

Welcome to our community, Aaronidj. Do you only experience this issue with BBM, or does this issue happen to all web-based apps that require account registration or login? Do you have a stable WiFi or mobile data connection while setting up your BBM account? I believe you have the updated version of the BBM app, is that correct?
When setting up or logging into your social accounts, make sure that the WiFi or mobile data connection is stable. Test it by using other web-based apps and browsing mobile websites. This step will help us verify if the issue is related to the phone's internet connection.

Can you set a default value using Data Mover Scripts?

We're going through a upgrade of PS Fin 8.9 -> 9.1. We've found some existing tables with new columns that are marked as NOT NULL so we're having trouble migrating the data using DMS.
Is there a way to Export the data from 8.9 and when importing into 9.1, set a default value for the new column using DMS?
A specific example would be the PS_SOURCE_TBL where EXCHANGE_RATE_OPTN is new and NOT NULL.

What you could do is first rename the record to be imported
IMPORT SOURCE_TBL AS PS_SOURCE_TBL_ORG;
Then write a insert/select script from PS_SOURCE_TBL_ORG to PS_SOURCE_TBL defaulting column EXCHANGE_RATE_OPTN
Insert into PS_SOURCE_TBL (COLUMN,COLUMN,COLUMN,COLUMN, EXCHANGE_RATE_OPTN)
select PS_SOURCE_TBL_ORG (COLUMN,COLUMN,COLUMN,COLUMN, 'defaultvalue');
And then drop table PS_SOURCE_TBL_ORG to clean up your database.

Can you set the 'time, day, AND DATE' in menu bar ?

I note that the DAY and Time are in my menu bar (top line of screen), I would find it more than handy to be able to have the DATE also there , there has GOT to be a simple answer ?????.

You can't set a start and end date for the date/time field, the best you can do is validate the range after the user has selected it.

How can I set my "attach file" system to always show the date and offer to resort?

When I want to attach a file to an email, or save it for that matter, I have to turn on Details instead of List in the View Menu. How can I set Thunderbird to have Details on as my default.

For use in the BB, the on-device format must be used...no PC contains the necessary file structure that the BB needs to find on the card in order to use it correctly. If you can no longer read the card via the BB nor the PC, then it's quite likely that your data is already destroyed. But, there are several PC utilities that claim to be able to recover Flash Memory devices such as SD cards...you should perhaps check those out (Zero Sum something or other? Can't recall specifically, but google will be your best friend in your quest.)

Can't Set Up personal bbm or recieve pictures!

I've had my phone since october and I Can't receive picture messages OR set up personal bbm. When I go to setup wizard-email setup it says select an email setup option: I want to use a work user with blackberry eneterprise user! That's ALL it says. I've tried hosting a rout table about 50 times and it don't work and I've been to the orange shop and they don't know what's wrong so HELP!!!

I have followed the steps on

Hello!
To use the proprietary BB services (including Push email capability, BBM, etc.), you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a Push-email enabled BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), your BB-proprietary services will function (e.g., you will have Personal/Internet Email added to the email setup wizard, your BBM will function, etc).

With hundreds of carriers in the world, each with dozens of different data plans, it's impossible to tell you specifically what any service plan might actually provide. Only the carriers can answer that question. The best thing to do is to decide what services you desire, and then talk to your carrier about obtaining (from them) a data plan that enables what you desire.

Crystal Report with text(csv) data file, can we set it as input parameter?

Hi,
I am a new user of Crystal Reports 2008.
I have created a report with charts in it. The input data comes from a csv text file.
Can I set the name of this text file as an input parameter?
as I need to generate 44 similar reports with different text filenames(and data)?

I did exactly what you said.
Just to see any change, I first gave a bad report file name just to see if I am accidentally pointing to a different file,
but I got an error saying report not found.
Then I renamed my original datafile name and generated a report and it still generated one without giving an error.
Then I also gave a junk name to the logoninfo and printed that name, the new name was assigned to logoninfo, but the code did not error out.
It ended up generating the report.
Now here is what I think is happening,
1) The save data in report option seems to be still on even though I have turned it off in 2 locations
a) file -> Report Options
b) file -> Options -> Reporting tab.
2) For some reason the logoninfo is getting ignored as well.
Since I did not see any answers yesterday I posted a link to this thread on the .Net forum

But the link he gave me tells me to try the same thing that we have been trying..
Here is my plan,
1) I will first try and find out why my save data with report option is still on ( but it shows off in Crystal ).
2) why is LogonInfo getting ignored.
Meanwhile any suggestions from anyone are welcome.

Looking at the original thread, you are connecting to the text file via the DAO database engine:
"I added the text file as follow, new connection -> Access/Excell (DAO) -> select the file and the database type as text"
Thus I would use the same code for changing the text file as for changing an Access database. Settings>General>International.
Set the calendar to "Gregorian". You have it set to Buddhist.
