Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.

    Hiya!
Couple things to try. First, go ahead and pull the battery with the device turned ON, reinsert, retry.
Failing that, go into options>device>Advanced system settings>Host Routing Table>Press menu key> select 'Register Now'> retry email

  • I can't send Comcast emails but I can receive them. What is wrong?

I can't send Comcast emails but i can receive them What is wrong?

Most email providers have two servers for email. There is an incoming mail server and an outgoing mail server. Check your email account on your device to make sure you have entered the correct address for the outgoing mail server. Also check to make sure you have a user name and password entered even if it says its optional. Make sure the user name and password are correct.

  • Can't setup optimum email account?

I just got my macbook pro and i was trying to set up my optimum email. It wasnt working in the mail setup on my mac so i tried to log onto the optimum online site to make sure it was the right logon and password. I logged onto the account but once i clicked "mail", the browser would not load any further. When i try to setup my email, this shows up:
Logging in to the optonline.net POP server “mail.optonline.net” failed. Make sure the user name and password you entered are correct, then click Continue. If the information isn’t correct, you cannot receive messages.
    Help?!

    E63 here.
What happened to me was very odd and I tried dozens of solutions found on the web, and none of it works.
I installed Nokia Email Service yesterday and it all worked perfectly. I just filled my gmail addess and password and everything was configured automatically and worked perfectly. But then, on the following day, when it should have syncronized (as per the settings of email auto-retrieval), it didn't. Tried to sync manually - nothing. Something was wrong. Decided to uninstall Nokia Email and install again. Bad decision. =(
I have already my gmail mailbox configured (but as a default Consumer mailbox, not Nokia Email Service). Now I'm trying to create a newly configured Nokia Email mailbox for this email account.
    I go to Messages > Options > Settings > E-Mail > New mailbox
(my phone is in portuguese, so I don't know if I'm putting the right options)
Then I chose "Nokia Email Service" instead of "E-mail" (which I already have set-up)
Then I fill my email address and password and it tries to connect - Error "Can't connect to server. Try again later" is all I get.
So I tried the solution of putting in the wrong email address so it will let me fill all the connection settings myself. After trying that for a number of times (it kept giving me "connect" errors as well) it finally worked, but what I end up with is not a Nokia Email mailbox, but a regular (Consumer) mailbox, identical to the one I already have - which is not as nearly as cool.
Can't get around this one. Any hints?

  • Help needed: can not setup personal email account

I just got a new BB8900 without a data plan.  I tried to setup my gmail account througn setup wizard-> email setup, but in this window,I only see the option of " i want to usa a work email with blackberry Enterprise server", but I don't see" I want to create or add an email address".
I am not sure whether I did somthing wrong when I first turn on the phone, but now I don't know how to setup a personal account.

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
To be able to use integrated emails, internet, and other things, you need The Blackberry Data Plan...even a generic data plan does not give you everything. Without any data plan, well...
If you want services, you should contact your carrier to enable the services that you desire.

  • New macbook pro mail can't verify comcast email; what's up??

Just got a new macbook. Downloaded os mavericks all day. Now I'm trying to set up my email accounts. Got stuck when mail couldn't verify a comcast.net account. Username and password were all correct (I logged to my account thru browser and it all worked fine.) Started chat with online comcast support, which lasted hours, changing ports, checking various settings. Eventually, I just deleted the account and started over.  But the same thing happens.  The error message says the account username and password can't be verified. When I got to sys preferences, I am forced to click "OK" after typing in the password, which cycles  back to the error message. When I click "cancel," the info disappears; I start typing my info, but as soon as I tab to the next box, the previous line I typed disappears.  I can't manually enter anything.  And I can't get my mail.
What is going on, Apple??  THe comcast tech said there were other people experiencing problems since mavericks update.

I bought a logictech external superdrive. On the packaging it said it was compatible with mac and pc. I haven't had a problem.

  • Can't use comcast email account with Firefox. Why and how to fix it?

I cannot open my comcast.net email accounts. I can see the Inbox Preview page but I can open, send a new email, etc.. It started Monday evening November 11, 2011. It happened a couple of times a few weeks ago then resolved.

Download and install the 10.6.8 Combo Update over your current installation of 10.6.8.It should repair whatever is corrupted. The Mac App Store does not belong in the Utilities folder, Mac OS X expects it to be in the Apps folder where it is installed..

  • Can't receive Comcast email on secondary account

I added a secondary account simply in order to see the "spinning gear" icon when checking for email as suggested in other messages. Some time ago this started happening: when I click "Get Mail" both accounts show the spinning gear and my primary account quickly receives any incoming mail and the gear disappears. The secondary account simply goes gray (offline) after a long spinning gear wait and mail never arrives, although it does arrive for both accounts on the Comcast web site. I've tried deleting and then re-entering the secondary account and ALL of my settings/prefs are identical to my wife's set-up on her Macbook Air running 10.5.6.

First, I went to Comcast web mail and there are messages in my secondary account (I used secondary username and password). Then I did what you suggested, "Can you Control-click on the Inbox of the secondary account, choose Get Account Info, and gain access to see the messages on the server?" No, the messages did not show up. I get spinning gear for a couple of minutes and then message that there no messages. Connection Doctor reports three account names: 1) primary username --- Connection and login to server succeeded. 2) secondary username --- Trying to log into this Comcast POP account failed. Please make sure the username and password are correct. 3) smtp:comcast.net:primary username --- Connection and login to server succeeded.

  • How can I Setup my Email Account in Mavericks?

The existing description on Apple support is not valid.
There ist no possibility to setup the account manually to e.g. IMAP.
    Best regards

Modify in what way? And what operating system are you running - is it indeed Leopard as your signature states?

  • I can't setup an email Alias

Everytime I try I get the message box below. I think there is an error with the system and I'm not sure how to report it to the Apple people

I type the above in and still got the error.
Does anyone know how to contact support for this problem?
    Thanks in advance

  • Can send but not receive comcast emails with Verizon MIFI jetpack

I am unable to receive comcast email using outlook 2007 using my new Verizon MIFI4620L Jetpack. When I disconnect from the Jetpack, I am able to receive emails using my neighbor's wireless router. I am able to send email using the MIFI Jetpack. When I test email settings, I am able to connect to comcast and send a test email. I am able to receive the test email from Microsoft. I am able to access email using the internet at comcast.net and I am able to use web browsers using the Mifi device. My other laptop is able to receive and send emails using the MIFI device. I currently have uninstalled Norton Internet Security and disabled windows firewall on the problematic computer in an attempt to resolve this.
    Any ideas?

There seems to be alot of Comcast email issues with the MiFi 4620L.  Most of them have been resolved with the propper configuration.  We have already found a few limitations to certain websites with this device, but none have been confirmed to be related to email services so far.
    Some helpful sites I found:

    http://forums.comcast.com/t5/E-Mail-and-Xfinity-Connect-Help/E-Mail-Client-Settings-customer-generated/td-p/778889
See if a quick configuration check will resolve your issues from the links I have provided.  If not then the next best step may be reinstalling Outlook on your computer.  Keep us posted either way.
