Can't setup Miglia TVMini

I just got the Miglia TVMini, and following the setup assistant, I can't get past
'now please connect the unit to your mac via the usb cable supplied'
and then nothing happens. The 'next' button never lights up.
I have installed the EyeTv 2.1 update.
anyone?

I got this from Elgato:
"Thank you for contacting Elgato Systems.
The problem you're having with the TVMini is very unusual.
To begin with, download EyeTV 2.1 again - the software changed in the past few days.
http://www.elgato.com/downloads/eyetv21update.dmg
When connected, does the light appear on the TVMini unit?
Start up the System Profiler for OS X (in the Applications/Utilities). Does the TVMini appear in the USB section?
Save the System Profiler report as XML. Compress and send that file to me.
If you unplug and replug the TVMini to the USB bus, does that help?
Try EyeTV on all of your other USB 2.0 ports, with another USB 2.0 cable, and try it with other USB devices detached. There might be a fault with the USB connection, or some sort of conflict with another device. If you're using a portable, then also try it while plugged into a wall outlet, instead of using battery power. This will ensure that EyeTV is getting enough power over the USB. If you're using a USB hub, make sure that it's self-powered by an AC adaptor.
On the bottom of the TVMini hardware is a serial number. Please let me know what that is.
If you haven't already, try to restart your Mac, to see if that helps.
Using this information, I'll work to find a solution for you."
I tried all the suggestions, but no change. The light on the TVMini unit does not illuminate - though it does get warm after being connected for a while.
It appears in the system profiler under usb only as
vend_device:
Version: 0.00
Bus Power (mA): 500
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Product ID: 0x022a
Vendor ID: 0x14aa
I don't have another USB2 cable, but if I plug the unit directly into the usb plug it makes no difference. It's the same on the other usb plug, and the mac is plugged into the mains power supply. Other devices work fine through the usb - though I am unsure whether they are usb1 or usb2.

  • Miglia tvmini?

I have a 1.83 ghz macbook pro and i have been looking for a tv tuner to use with it, and I was considering buying miglia's tvmini. Although I'm not sure on how well it will work. So i would like to hear what people think of this product and if its reliable or not?

I have a Miglia TVMini HD which works very nicely on my (2ghz) MBP.
Only issue is the quality of the content... so i don't watch much TV.
The EyeTV software (include) works very well especially w.r.t.
pausing live tv (so you can skip the commercials).

  • How can I setup a mail-specific passcode/restriction on iPad used by multiple family members?

How can I setup a mail-specific passcode/restriction on iPad used by multiple family members?
Have an Exchange mail account setup and accessible in my mail on iPad... however my kids use it and i would like to restrict them from accessing this specific portion of the device.  I tried viewing restriction options and do not see that i can apply a restriction specifically to Mail.  Thanks for your help.

Not a feature of iOS. Check the AppStore to see if there are other
mail apps that allow passcode protection.
Or use Safari to log onto your email via a web-based interface and
enter your credentials each time. A bit slower, but the kids will
not know the details to login.

  • Can we setup two sets different 7912 logos in one CCM cluster?

    Hi,
CCM 4.1(3) cluster within head office. We created the 7912 logo for system default image. However, the remote site 7912 phones, need to use a different logo other than the head office.
    as per http://forum.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&forum=Unified%20Communications%20and%20Video&topic=IP%20Telephony&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Dpass_through%26location%3Doutline%40%5E1%40%40.1ddc5d3d/0#selected_message
We can create the 7912 logo, but how can we setup two or more different 7912 logos for different sites?
We noticed on CCM4.1(3), there is idle URL for 7912 phone, what is the callmanager default link for this URL? I am thinking to use different logo file names, and put the related URL on this parameters for remote site 7912 phones.
Could someone let me know or any other better way to do?
    Thanks,
    JJ

    Hi JJ,
    This should work just the way you have described. Have a look;
    Idle
Enter the URL that displays on the Cisco IP Phone display when the phone has not been used for the time that is specified in Idle Timer field. For example, you can display a logo on the LCD when the phone has not been used for 5 minutes.
Leave this field blank to accept the default setting.
    Idle Timer (seconds)
Enter the time (in seconds) that you want to elapse before the URL that is specified in the Idle field displays.
Leave this field blank to accept the value of the Idle URL Timer enterprise parameter.

    Here how on CCM;
    Method 1:
Choose System > Enterprise Parameters so that the change is propagated to all of the phones from the Cisco CallManager Administration page.
In the URL Idle field, enter http://IP_address_of_CallManager/CCMCIP/filename.xml.
In the URL Idle Time field, enter any positive value in seconds.
    Method 2:
Choose Device > Phone under the Cisco IP Phone configuration so that only this phone displays the graphics from the Cisco CallManager Administrator page.
Choose the phone/phones on which you want to put the display.
In the Idle field, enter the path http://IP_address_of_CallManager/CCMCIP/filename.xml.
In the Idle Timer field, enter any positive value in seconds.
    From this good doc;

If I have two email accounts, one personal hotmail account and one MS Exchange work account on my iPhone 4s, How can I setup individual notifications for each account? Fore example, if I get a work email, I want to hear a DING, DING....If I get a personal email, I want to hear a BEEP, BEEP. Right now, any email from any account has the same notification. I want work incoming email notification to be different than personal incoming notification. The only semi-workaround I've seen is just disable any notification for the Hotmail account, so only work emails would notify. But then I don't know when I get a personal email. Even the lowely Blackberry Torch 9800 has this feature..not iPhone 4s??
    Thanks

Sorry you get only one notification sound for all email accounts.  you can send a suggestion to apple here http://www.apple.com/feedback/

  • I have multiple computers and iPhones and now iTunes will not allow my wife to load applications or use her own iTunes playlists.  How can I setup each device for each user correctly?

We have multiple computers and iPhone devices which I have passed on to other family members, such as my wife.  Now she is not able to load apps to her devices, eventhough it appear she is logged into her own iTunes account.  How can I setup iTunes correctly on each device?  Currently, there is one PC and one Mac laptop and we each have iPhones, with one other family member not able to use his 'passed-down' device for iTunes, also.

    Hello dal1820
Check out the article below on how to use multiple devices with one computer. The main idea that I want to point out is to have different users for each person as it is the easy way to make sure that no issue happen when syncing.

how can i setup  my account without a credit card

Thanks SniperKat but I don't know why for some reason the "NONE" disappeared...
I started to create an account and when I saw the credit card thing I just clicked back and back and so I closed the browser... every free app or something free I get it appears a window : " You have to review some of your information about your account" .... but I don't have an account yet because I didn't create it.... the only solution is to create a new e-mail account and go to iTunes store and create a new account with the new e-mail and be very carefull with the "Free app" this time...

how can i setup one account for me and my kids ?

One account each, or one account for all of you to share?
Either way, follow the instructions here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/
Remember, if you share an iCloud account, you won't be able to maintain independent Contact lists, calendars, bookmarks etc. They will all be synced to all devices setup using the same account.

  • HT202213 can you setup home sharing from your iPad ?

can you setup home sharing from your iPad ?

You can set Home sharing on the iPad by adding your Apple ID in the appropriate area.
    Settings->Music->Home Sharing
But you still need a computer with iTunes from which to share the library.  You can't share libraries between iDevices.

  • Can I setup an Apple ID with only a Paypal account and NO credit card?

I recently purchased an iPhone and am looking forward to getting everything setup. I'm currently living in Japan and my japanese bank doesn't have a card that has the jcb logo, nor do I have a credit card. So...
Can I setup an Apple ID with only a Paypal account and NO credit card?

You can set up an apple Id without a credit card using this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534
After that, you can login at iTunes on a computer, go to 'Account' and just change the payment information to something else.
NB: where I live, the only three options for payment are creditcard, iTunes gift cards and Click&Buy, not Paypal. It might be possible elswhere though, I'm not sure.
    Good luck

  • Can't setup calendars in my mail

I'm trying to setup my email account in Mail. Everything goes fine except I can't setup my calendars. It says There was problem setting up Calendars. unknown error has occurred.
    I have OS X Yosemite.

This is because you are (according to your signature) using Snow Leopard. Lion 10.7.2 or above is required for iCloud.
You can set Mail up manually to access an iCloud account which has already been set up:
Entering iCloud email settings manually in Snow Leopard or Leopard
The situation with Snow Leopard and iCloud is listed in more detail here:
