Voicemails are a vital part of having a working phone. We do suggest that you look at the contact and then the number to make sure that it is *86. If you are needing to get your voicemails until then, please dial *86.

Can not get my voice mail while in canada

Hello i can not get my voice mail while in canada.. help call forwarding is off.. when i dial my 10 digit number and hit send it says call ended.... but as soon as i cross back into the us it works just fine .. all was good till approx 6 weeks ago.. i have not added any thing or removed any thing either.

While in Montreal PQ I don't receive voice mail notifications and *VM does not work. However if I dial my ten digit phone number I can retrieve my voice mail.
Also when I get to my hotel I can dial my phone and retrieve that way.
Another way is to use the backdoor Verizon voicemail number then follow the prompts to enter your cell number and password code.
It is not toll free but I have never been charged for using it.
Of course I don't know if it even is still available.

Since upgrading to Yosemite I can't add one of my gmail accounts.
It's my business domain which is hosted with GMAIL. It worked before the upgrade. Now adding the email address in 'internet accounts setup' I get the message "Can't setup Gmail account - "Mail couldn't discover the account settings for the Mail server "
Mail will not let me setup an email account directly in mail either.
There seems to be major problems with mail in this update.
Also SMTP keeps failing.
Yosemite is a disaster.

Try this. I saw this solution elsewhere on the boards here.
When setting up a business gmail account, something other than @gmail.com, when you try to add the account in Mail preferences, don't select Google as the account type. Choose, "Other." Fill out the name, email and password as usual. Worked great for me after having similar issues trying to get my business gmail account to work in Yosemite.

It helps a lot to know what type of computer you are using.
I use TouchCopy on Windows machines (they also have a Mac version but I have not used it).
I use Phoneview on Macs.
I would highly recommend either of them.

Yes - call your number from any phone, and interrupt your greeting by pressing #. Then listen to the prompts, I think it's 4 for personal options, and from there just follow the prompts to change your greeting.

Your carrier determines what happens when you press the voicemail button. Are you using a supported carrier for the iPhone? Does this carrier support visual voicemail? If so, then the carrier needs to reset your voicemail so you can enter your password again and complete the setup. They should know how to do this, as they have probably performed it for others as well.

How can I get ALL voice mail recordings off my number?

We use RingCentral to get simultaneous ring between our home and Verizon cell phone. But what was happening, was that the voice mail on my Verizon cell would pick up before I could get to the home phone, then no one would be there. We were losing clients for our small home business.
So I asked Verizon to take ALL recordings off the cell phone account. Instead, NOW clients are calling, and before I can answer the home phone, they get a recording on my cell, saying that the mailbox is not set up!
I called Verizon tech support today and the guy could NOT remove ALL recordings from my account, he said I had to do it myself, but I don't know HOW! That was why I called THEM!!!
When someone calls us, I JUST want the Verizon wireless to ring FOREVER, unless I answer it, and NOT to go picking up with stupid recordings, before I can get to my home phone!

I am sorry to hear of the issues you are having. In regards to removing the messages from your voicemail on your phone you would have to dial *86 from your cellular device which will route you to the voicemail system and ask you to enter in your password. Once the password has been entered in you can go through and listen and delete the messages.
As for wanting your phone to ring without being routed to a voicemail or receiving a recording that the voicemail box has not been set up, I apologize as we are not able to do that. On cellular devices there is not option to prevent the phone from going to voicemail. The system is set to have an set number of rings and then route to voicemail and this can not be changed. If you would like you can set up call forwarding on your cellular phone which will route your calls to your home system instead of going to voicemail. Can not setup my icloud mail account on my new mbp

i just bought my new mbp 13" and signed in into my icloud account but when trying to setup my icloud mail i get a failure logging into the icloud server but all other mails and internet setting are ok. what to do? also when i open the pref of mail and look at the icloud account i see that the incoming server field is empty and i can not fill it ( it does not let me).

Not sure what you mean by "within iCloud mail" but if you can't view your iCloud mail inside the Mail app on your phone, go to Settings>iCloud, turn Mail off, then after a few seconds turn Mail back on again.

Can't setup POP3 E-mail on mail client on my MacBook Pro

So this problem is getting really out of hand and I'm not sure what options I have left. So here are the details:
I'm trying to set up my work e-mail (the site host is Network Solutions) with Mail. There seem to be no problems with the online client. I can sign on without any troubles so password and username are correct. I'm using Mail 4.4. I first enter my name, e-mail, and password with no problems. Then for the incoming mail server I do the same, choosing POP, and I get the following message:
"The POP server "mail.companysite.com" (with the proper domain inserted) is not responding. Try checking the network connection, and that the server name is correct. Otherwise, the server might be temporarily unavailable. If you continue, you might not be able to receive messages."
i get this regardless if i put my username as just username or [email protected] and my network connection is fine as my other e-mail accounts (2 gmails set up as IMAP) work just fine. I've tried using different ports other than the default 110. Still the same problem.
An interesting little quirk is that at one point it actually did work, then suddenly without any changes to anything that I could tell, it stopped. When it was working, I had it set up on my iPod touch and even when it stopped on my computer it kept working on my iPod. But that also didn't last as now I can no longer connect or even set it up.
But wait! There's more. I've tried all the different debugging methods I can come up with, including trying to set it up on different e-mail clients, Entourage and Thunderbird, with the same result. Then I eventually tried it on another computer, on a PC running Windows XP, and wouldn't you know it, it set up without a hitch! so this means that my account is properly set up for this. Furthermore, I know it is possible to use an e-mail client on a mac with this domain as one of my coworkers has set it up on Entourage and Mail as well as his iPhone. I have no firewall settings currently on so nothing should be blocking and i've tried it using several different internet connections in different countries (seemingly then it's not a router or modem issue)
Anyone have any ideas? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated! Let me know if there's any more info you would need me to provide.

Create a New User Account, and as that New User try to set up this one account -- as it is POP, set to leave messages on the server after download. If not familiar with setting up a New User Account, see:

This will be a useful test, and is not meant to suggest a permanent switch to the New User Account, but rather a test of the Mail application outside of your normal User Account.
Also in System Preferences/Networks click on Advanced, then Proxies and make sure no proxy selections have been checked.

I see that I have 2 voicemail messages by seeing a 2 on the voicemail blue icon. But when I touch it, it shows two people who left messages, but when I click on Audio it simply gives me a choice of how I want to hear my message: Jabra STONE, iPhone, or Speaker and Cancel.
The triangle 0:00________________________-0:59 is greyed out so by touching it nothing happens.
This is frustrating!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you are seeing those other options, it means you currently have a Bluetooth device paired to the iPhone. If you choose iPhone it will play though the iPhone, and if you choose Speaker it will be played through your speakers on the iPhone.
If after tapping on the correct output you want, and are still unable to hear your voicemail, please follow the troubleshooting in the article below:

Jabber for windows can't play voice mail

hello everyone....
i config jabber with Unity Connection
now i can receive a voice mail form jabber ,all is right ..but i can't play it
if i login the voice mail i can hear the voice mail......only can't play form jabber ...
my jabber client is 9.2 and CUCM 9.1 Unity Connection 8.62 CUPS 9.1

We have the same problem with Jabber for Windows 9.2.
It is interesting that the voicemail feature seems to work for a few seconds when the client starts up. At this time I can see all of voice mails, and the number of unread voicemails shows as a number where the voicemail icon is, but then they all disappear. The voicemail tab then shows the message, "Cisco Jabber is not connected to your voicemail server".
The 'Call voicemail' button works.
I understand that our server has been setup for TLS, and that the voicemail tab in Jabber for Windows 9.1.5 works.
