Can't Share a movie iMovie 5 NEED HELP!!
I'm having a terrible time trying to get through the share process to upload a movie to YouTube. I've gotten a LOT of advice but none of it is getting the job done b/c all of it seems to have left out one detail or another (frame rate and size, audio, streaming details, etc.) . The movie is 14+ min long, 1/3 video clips and 2/3 text frames (PDFs). The settings I've been given have resulted in a) horrible, grainy, jerky .movs or high-quality and jerky with out-of-sync sound. All have taken from 3 to 10 hours to compress. The only acceptable result I got was selecting one short video clip with fade up using h.264 compression.
This isn't even my project, but I said I'd try to help. Guess I'm not trying hard enough but it's taking huge chunks of my time.
I need an expert! Please!

Everything has looked better on the Mac than on YT so far.
Meanwhile, I have devoted my morning to get the best of this thing and have managed to upload the first version of the video. The video clips look/sound good -- type looks awful. It was compressed at 320x240 (following instructions in a homemade YT Tutorial I saw).
So I re-compressed 2 text frames at 640x480, uploaded them and they look much better. Now I'm in the process of compressing the whole thing again (another few hours) and will upload that to see if it looks better.
There are obviously a number of factors to consider with these QT movies and I just haven't stumbled on the full, detailed Howto. Maybe I'll write one -- if I haven't jumped off the roof by then
BTW, current limit for YT is 15 (20?) minutes and 2 GB.

I am the new guy in town. Ok here go's. I am wanting to see all my video clips on my ext. firewire hard drive. But for some reson sins iMovie HD saves your work in a projected all I see on my hard drive is the saved projected but I do not see the clips. Now I know on my Powerbook G4 it has just iMovie not iMovie HD it would let me save them as clips so I could use them in any programe I wanted to. Like toast 6. Yes, under the Settings for the store, you can turn off the auto download for purchases, that way if you purchase an app on another device it will not automatically download on that device. You would need to do this on both your iPad and iPhone.

It's strange because I can change my AppleID country without this message.
So what to do? Just try to do this again, but on another device. You may also erase cookies and history of your browser.

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

I downloaded it on the iTunes store on my computer.
I seen it downloading on iTunes under the rentals folder. Once the download was complete and it started processing iTunes froze for a bit and the movie pulled a Harry Houdini. I checked under purchased, movies, and looked for the rentals folder and got nothin'. -

have you tried quiting the app, ie removing it from the multitasking bar also, and then retrying it? Failing that, flick the ipad into airplane mode for a minute, then flick it back, wait for your wifi to connect then try again.

Call Apple Care. You are still under warranty. You also have 14 days from the date of purchase to return your iPod with no questions asked.
Take FULL advantage of your warranty. Posting on a message board should be done as a last resort and if you are out of warranty or Apple Care has expired. -
Can't share created movie to file in iMovie 11
I'm having trouble with the "share" feature in iMovie 11. Nothing happens when I try to share the created movie, even to theatre.
Ok I solved it myself. I just made a 2 second video and imported it to Aperture, then when I opened iMovie again, it loaded the 2 second clip as well as all the previous new videos that it won't load before.

Hello-
You can restore network defaults on the printer.
Press the Setup icon. Then go to Network Menu, scroll down to "restore network defaults".
This should clear any "Admin" settings that were set.
Then you can turn radio on and run the wireless wizard to get back on network.

How can I share a movie with my boyfriend?
I have bought a movie on iTunes using my Apple ID and have watched it on my iPad. A couple of questions about sharing...
Firstly, can we watch my movie on his Mac? My iPad is assigned to my laptop back home, and he has his own iTunes set up on his MacBook Pro which we have with us on holiday.
Secondly can he watch my movie on his iPad? His iPad is assigned to his Mac using his Apple ID.

In order to do what you want he would have not only to sign into your account in iTunes but also authorize his computer for use with purchased items.

At wit's end with imovie project -- need Help!

I am in the middle of doing a documentary movie of the yearly Air Show put on by my RC model airplane club. Over the past several years I have made a handful of other documentaries and all with out problem, they worked just fine.
On this one, however, I have run into problems that are new and completely frustrating. I have finished editing the movie and all works well in the iMovie mode. I can play the entire movie and all the parts and pieces work just fine. But when I burn the results onto a DVD some scenes (only a few) lose camera audio. This is also true if I export it to Quicktime.
My movie uses camera audio, imported background music and narrative voice-over. And all those play just fine in the iMovie program. But there are several spots where the camera audio doesn't come across in the final product, just total silence except for the background music or any voice-over narrations that may be present during those times. The camera audio just does not come through.
I am at wit’s end and need some help. Has anyone come across this and what did you do to fix it?

A wild guess. Can it be so that those clips are
recorded in Your Camera with
the sound set to 12-bit (often factory/default set).
Should be 16-bit
I'll check the camera for that, but the same camera was used in all the clips and only two or three were missing audio when exported.
Try to extract the missing sounds from each clip and
redo a disk image in
iDVD and see if the sound is back.
That sounds like a great diagnostic and should be far less time consuming than burning a DVD.

You need to return it to the seller and get your money back. You cannot reset or use the device with another AppleID installed unless you know the password for that ID.

I went through the same thing. Searched again for another error I was seeing and found this help from Delgadoh and this finally fixed me! He mentioned this article: iTunes 11.1.4 for Windows: Unable to install or open http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376. But I had not read it. I went straight to his instructions below.
If you haven't already tried these steps:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer.
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
