Can't share Exchange calendar in iCal (CalExhangeErrorDomain 239)

I'm on a Microsoft Exchange 2007 server and I'm trying to share my calendar events with the other users in the office using Snow Leopard's iCal. I've gone through the delegation process and have no problems viewing theirs, but when I try to share mine, I get the attached error that reads
"The server responded with an error. Unknown error from Exchange Server. CalExchangeErrorDomain 239."
Other Mac users on our network have been able to share calendar events with Outlook users no problem (albeit through Entourage...puke) so I don't think it's a server issue, unless its just an issue with my account.
Anybody have any suggestions? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there,
I have tested this out on my backup disk and there is a slight modification to the method. Will highlight this with quotation.
================================================================================ ==
It appears that once upgraded to Mavericks, the calendar folders are no longer compatible with the latest version of iCal. Hence why it crashes.
To remediate,
Close the iCal App
Duplicate the folder (For Backup reason)     /Users/YOURPROFILE/Library/Calendar
Delete all content with in      /Users/YOURPROFILE/Library/Calendar
Go to:-
System Prefences | Internet Account | iCloud
Uncheck Calendars, Recheck Calendars
Select the iCloud profile
Press "-" to delete the whole iCloud profile.
Recreate the iCloud profile by select "+" then iCloud
Enter your iCloud Username and Password
It will asked you if you wish to merge the database. (You may have to do this more then once)
For every other google calendar
Uncheck Calendars (if already checked), Recheck Calendars
Hopefully this will recreate all the calender folders within /Users/YOURPROFILE/Library/Calendar and start re-syncing.
Once you are satified that all your calender are syncing, delete the /Users/YOURPROFILE/Library/Calendar copy
Good Luck.

  • After upgrading to ios 5, I can't share my calendar on ical

My wife is able to share her calendar with me, but I can't share with her.  Most times when I go to the calendar tab, the share option is not available, only publish is.  Other times, share is available, but greyed out.

Whoa that would drive me crazy too!
I would restrart the phone first then see if the same thing happens.

    Restarting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
If it does, I would connect to iTunes, backup the phone and then restore it again.

  • How can I share multiple calendars in iCal with several different people?

I need to share multiple calendars created in iCal with all our staff. Do I enter their individual email addresses separated by a semi-colon or a "plus" sign or how. I tried entering all the email addresses with the semi-colon and when I go back to look at sharing, it just shows one email address.

I am assuming that you are referring to a responsive layout that has divisions that reposition themselves according to the width of the client browser window.
Rather than go into a teaching mode on this forum, let me point you to a nifty free Dreamweaver extension that will help you to achieve this. Have a look here http://www.dmxzone.com/go/21759/dmxzone-bootstrap?utm_source=Blog&utm_medium=link&utm_cont ent=DMXzone+Bootstrap+Released…

  • Share Outlook Calendar with iCal

Someone on our staff has Outlook and is trying to send me an invitation to share a calendar.  I have been given permissions, but I cannot see the calendar.  Anyone have any answers?

    Greetings,
You may wish to contact your Server Administrator to find out how the calendar is made available.
iCal can accept "CalDAV" calendars. Do a search in the iCal help menu for "Setting up a CalDAV account in iCal"
If your server is not providing the calendar as a CalDAV then you can add your Exchange server to iCal. Do a search in the iCal help menu for "Setting up an Exchange account in iCal"
    Hope that helps.

  • Remove Exchange Calendar from iCal

I have an Exchange Calendar in iCal (Mountain Lion) that I want to remove. How can I do this? If I select it and choose Edit the Delete option is greyed out. The account is not listed in Preferences > Advanced either.
I want to delete it because every time I receive an invitiation in Outlook for Mac, the invite is being placed in the iCal calendar, but does not appear in my Outlook calendar.

I think I discovered where iCal/Calendar is getting the Exchange calendar data from. Initially I wondered whether the iPad/iPhone were doing something odd, but no, the Exchange mail account was set to sync Contacts and Calendar on both, via Active Sync.
I then plugged both devices into the Macbook and opened iTunes and checked the Info tab - "Sync Calendars" was not ticked.
I then discovered that in Mountain Lion a change was made to the Mac System Preferences under Mail, Contacts and Calendar - I saw my Exchange account listed and so clicked to edit it. It brought up a screen showing that Calendar was ticked. I unticked this and my appointments sent to me in Outlook are no longer appearing in ical - which is what i wanted.
Hope this might help someone else.

  • I invited someone to share a calendar on ical and it didn't go through -

    Hi.
I invited my business partner to share a calendar on ical and was successful.  I then invited my husband, who has an older mac and older OS but my invitation didn't even get through to him.  Does anyone have advice?
    Thanks, Julie

If both have Apple devices AND both have data plans, why don't you message each other using iMessages instead of regular SMS?
iMessages get sent thru the TCP/IP Internet rather than the cellular network so they are essentially free (other than any data cap you may have, irrellevant if the iGadget is connecting via Wi-Fi).

  • View colleagues' exchange calendar in iCal?

    Hi!
I can see my own Exchange calendar just fine with iCal 4 from the corporate Exchange server.  However, colleagues have also shared their Exchange calendars with me - which I can see just fine on Webmail / Exchange 2007, but I would also like to view these shared calendars in iCal.
Any help would be well appreciated!
    Thank you,
    Greg.

    Hi guys,
    "googling" I found this applescript:
    tell application "iCal"
              set color of calendar "Calendar" to choose color default color {0, 0, 0}
    end tell
Waiting for an Apple fix, you can use this. It's wok like a charm!

  • Manually change color of Exchange calendar in iCal?

Good evening. Got kind of an odd problem...and not really sure when it became an issue, although I think it happened after I upgraded to Lion. But for whatever reason I cannot get to the 'Get Info' part of one of my calendars that is an Exchange calendar. I can right-click on all of my iCloud calendars and get to the get info section in order to change colors, sharing, etc, but when I click the get info option on my Exchange calendar, nothing happens.
Not sure when this became the case, because I know I used to be able to change the color.
Was wondering if maybe there was a preference file that I could manually edit in order to change the color, or if someone else has run into this and found a solution.
    Thanks a bunch.

  • Is there a Google Sync Alternative for sync'ing Exchange Calendar with iCal?

Previously, I was using Google Sync (one-way) to sync calender events between my microsoft outlook calendar and google calendar which I then had sync'd with my iphone.  I had to format my computer and now when I try looking for the software (Google Sync) it looks to only be available for Google Apps Business Accounts now.  I read up online and it looks like Google has made this change earlier in the year.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can have my outlook calendar events updated on my iphone without connecting directly to the exchange server?
    Thanks

Google calendar will sync with your phone directly. Choose Calendar as one of the things to sync under your Gmail acount settings. I would then check the Google help docks for information on how to sync your computer calendar to Google Calendar.
For what it's worth, I stopped using a calendar app on my computer years ago. I just go directly to the Google Calendar through my browser. Yes, I actually do have it synced to iCal but, as I hate iCal, I never look at that app or use it to enter appointments.

  • Publish Exchange calendar from iCal

I've gotten my Exchange calendar to work with iCal nicely using 10.6. This is great. But:
Is there a way to publish an Exchange calendar that is in iCal? The "Publish" option is grayed out for my Exchange calendars.
I can publish other calendars just fine (after forcing iCal to work in 32 bit mode).
Note that I am not talking about syncing to MobileMe. I know that this is not supported. However, I expected that I could "publish" to a web server, such as the one hosted by MobileMe.
For a while now, I've done this by using Entourage to sync Exchange to iCal. The Entourage calendar can be published to the web. I was really hoping that with 10.6 I could finally stop using Entourage.

I'm having a similar issue. My boss has set up a calendar in exchange that is synced with my iCal, and the appointments do appear, however my personal calendar from exchange is not showing any of my appointments... any ideas?

  • How can I stop Exchange calendar event copies appearing in drafts?

I use Outlook 2010 on a Windows machine at work. On my MacBook I use Outlook 2011 and have the Exchange calendar configured for iCal. Sync'ing works fine, except this one annoyance.
Since upgrading to Mountain Lion copies of existing, repeating calendar events keep appearing in my Outlook drafts folder. Every few days I have to empty it, sometimes from 50 event copies or more.

I too, was experiencing this. There seems to be no indication of a solution anywhere on the web. HOWEVER, I figured it out.
Here's the solution: Strangely, it's not really an exchange issue, but rather an issue with calendaring on the OSX side.
So you understand, here's the configuration that can cause problems:
you are using an exchange server to connect your email/calendar/notes/tasks...
You use a PC (or VM PC) for some/most of your exchange/outlook activities
You may or may not have MS Office 2011 (Mac) installed.
You have one or more Apple devices connected to your exchange account (iPhone, iPad, any Mac)
After installing Mountain lion, you start noticing events being magically duplicated every few minutes in your outlook draft folder. If you delete an event, another one takes its place.
    HERE IS THE FIX:
Short answer: Sync all calendars on all devices
On the apple side (OSX, IOS) you MUST turn on calendar sync in all the exchange accounts on all your devices. I thought I had, then discovered that my MS Office Outlook on my Mac was missing that sync. It doesn't seem to matter which apple device is missing the sync, it only takes one of them. Once you set calendar sync to "on" for all the apple devices that access that calendar, just like magic, the phantom multi event creation stops.
You should check all MS products on the OSX/IOS devices AND all apple devices that allow syncing. I haven't turned on notes sync through the cloud, so that isn't one of the items that cause problems.
If you do this and the multi still appears, you missed something on one of your apple devices.
    Sweet!

  • How can I group Exchange calendars to publish as 1 on the net.

I have been given the task to figure out how to combine multiple exchange accounts into 1 viewable calender that I can publish from iCal.
This would be a simple task,  except for the fact that iCal is not letting me "group"  my exchange calendars.
Is there any way to do this ?  or perhaps some other work around ?  Maybe I am missing something.
Any offering is appreciated been trying to wrap my head around this.  Thanks in advance.

Export the contacts with Outlook on your PC at work to be imported by a supported address book application on the computer you will be syncing your iPad with.

  • Share Specified Calendars in iCal via iCloud

I have a specific Calendar on my MBP which I want to share with my wife who has an iPad2,
We have both upgraded to ios5 on iPad 2 and OSX Lion on my mBP.
Any advice on how to share specific calendars over icloud.
    Thanks
    Keith

Trying to do the same thing. Want to share an iCal calendar from an iMac running Lion to my girlfriend's iMac running Snow Leopard.
Trying to subscribe to my Lion iCal shared calendar from her Snow Leopard iCal, iCal (on hers) asks for a URL. So no go there. I signed into my iCloud account via Safari on my Lion iMac. I got to the iCloud site via Safari and viewed my iCal calendar with the little speaker icon that was mentioned in one of the replies. However, clicking that icon does nothing. Hmm. Not very "Apple-like" is it?
