Can't share or Stream Photos taken while locked

I havent used the lock screen feature since I bought my iPod Touch almost a year ago. I recently started using it as a security measure. I took some picture this morning without unlocking. These photos alone will not share or sync through my photo steam. Anyone know how I can fix this

Are you on WiFi?
Photo Stream won't sync over cellular.
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.

    Yes.

With Shared Photo Streams, you can share just the photos you want with just the people you choose. When they subscribe to your shared photo stream, friends and family can view the photos, leave comments, and "like" individual photos right from their devices, or optionally view the photos on the web.

  • HT201317 how can i share my primary photo stream without having to reselect photos to share

My wife and I use 2 different icloud accounts but want to use the same photostream and have it automatically updated to both accounts- how can I do this?
I don't want to select and share new pics every time i take them, i want it to be automatic.

You can't delete an iCloud account, you can only delete it from your device. If you log back into your account and enable photo stream, I think you will find that your photo stream photos return.

  • Can I share an iCloud photo library between family members?

I am searching for a good photo and video backup solution for my entire family. Previously I was backing up photos to a Windows Home Server that did a weekly backup to Amazon's cloud storage; however, the system disk on the home server blew up, leaving me with the choice to rebuild the server or alternatively look for a more seamless, lightweight solution. I have large quantity of photos and video on a home server data drive, as well as a large number of photos that have been recently scanned to my MacBook pro. We have almost completely transitioned to Apple products and use Time Machine for Macbook backups, so that function of the Home Server is no longer useful.
I like the concept of Apple's iCloud Photo Library; however, I need a solution that allows photos from at least my wife's and my devices to be seamlessly backed up to the library. We use different iCloud IDs. The ideal use case would be that photos taken on any of our devices (across a set of iCloud IDs) would be shared within a single library.
Family Sharing allows you to share a number of things across family members, but currently the photo library doesn't appear to be one of them.
Any pointers on how to proceed? Will the OS X Photo app and the move to bring iCloud library to the Mac make any difference? Any alternative solutions?

Someone else can probably answer the family sharing question better than I can, but I wanted to respond with an alternate suggestion. I didn't find the features I wanted in family sharing, so I didn't give it much of a chance. It did seem like you'd have a separate album for each family member.
I just recently started using Flickr and it's great. I looked into it a few years ago and there were limitations on how many MB's you could upload per day and I don't remember being impressed by the amount of free storage. Now Flickr gives you 1000 GB for free and stores the image in the original quality and size. If you download the Flickr app on your phone, you can set it to automatically upload all of the new pictures on your iphone, ipad, etc. If you and a family member share a Flickr account, you can both auto sync your camera rolls into the same Flickr account.
Personally, I'm using Flickr as a way to automatically back up photos for free. I quickly ran out of free icloud storage and I haven't wanted to pay for more.In Flickr, the auto uploads from your phone are set to private by default, but you could use flickr to share albums with friends who don't own any apple products... unlike icloud photo sharing, that only allows your friends with an apple device to view shared albums.

  • I've installed ios 6 on my iPhone 4. I can't find "shared streaming photo" and "iCloud tabs"

Escuse me I'm an italian boy. I've installed ios 6 yesterday on my iPhone 4 and on my iPod Touch 4g. In my iPod i can't find the tabs in the icloud tabs (safari). In my iPhone 4 i can't find shared photo stream and also the tabs in the iCloud tabs. i've surfed in internet with the two devices but the folder of the iCloud tabs remains empty . why? please help me.

For iCloud tabs be sure that both devices are signed into the same iCloud account, and that you have opened multiple web pages rather than always opening new sites in the same web page.
Shared photo streams are inititiated by opening the camera roll in the thumbnail (grid) view, then tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to share, tap the Share button, tap Photo Stream, select the email address of the people you want to share these photos with, fill in a name for it, turn on Public if you want them to be able to view it on icloud.com, type Next, fill in comments if you want, the tap Post.

  • Photos Taken While Phone Locked Aren't Syncing to iCloud

Before my upgrade to iOS7 my iPhone would sync all photos to iCloud without any problem.
Since the upgrade it appears that some photos (not all) are failing to sync. It appears that it's generally photos that have been taken while the phone is locked that are failing to sync.

Your phone has to be connected to wifi, with the camera app closed and with at least 20% battery life remaining in order to upload photos to photo stream.  When the screen locks, wifi turns off after a few seconds in order to save battery power, preventing them from uploading.  (However, they should be uploaded when it reconnects to wifi again.)

  • Can't send photos taken via lock screen

When I take a photo using the new quick access from the lock screen (which I LOVE), when I tap on the thumbnail and view the photo, the little button with the icon of the square and the arched arrow, the one I'd tap on to send the photo via email, text, etc., is missing.
I then have to close the camera app and open Photos, locate the photo and send it from there.
This doesn't happen if I take a photo the old fashioned way, swiping the lock screen and then opening the camera app. When I do it that way, take a photo, and tap on the thumbnail of the photo I just took to view it, the Share button is there.
SO annoying and pretty much cancels out all the excitement of being able to access the camera quicker.
Anyone else experiencing this? Is there anything I can do?
    Thanks!

It would make sense in your case that you could send.
But have you also noticed that you cannot see your other camera roll photos in the locked state?
I can see where you are coming from, and would suggest that you mention it to Apple:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
They seldom reply, but it might be addressed.

  • Can i share music and photos between two users on the same machine?

How can I share my music and photos between two users on the same machine?

Thank you Joe - I tried this but it's only showing a teensy amount of music - the stuff on the second users account as opposed to the giagntic library on the 'main' account. I actually went to a Genius Bar and they said that apple doesn't really want you to share music between accounts - parents don't want to hear their kids music etc. Which seemed strange, but it might be the case sadly   Thanks anyway!

  • How can I add date to photos taken on my iphone 4s

How can I add a date to photos taken on my iphone 4s?

That's correct - Photos supports geotagging, but only allows viewing of that information. Once an image is in Photos, geotags cannot be added, deleted, or edited. This post suggests some apps for editing geotags outside of the Photos app. As you mentioned, you can edit the geotags in iPhoto, export to the finder and then import to Photos. I would guess (and hope!) we'll see this added in an update, and hopefully soon!

  • Can't transfer videos and photos taken with my ipad (3rd gen) from camera roll to iMovie

    Hey guys,
Last week I purchased iMovie for Ipad! I was looking forward making some nice clips, trailers etc. but I realized, I can't add videos nor photos what I've took with the iPad to iMovie! When I click on 'add photos' or 'add videos' option, no folder comes up, not even camera roll. Do you guys know how can I fix the problem? Or is there something what I'm doing wrong? Thank you so much in advance!

    Hey Gerry!
You solved my problem, thank you!

  • I can't keep my stream photo to my iPad  I don't have this option

I want to delete my iCloud account but afraid to lose my stream photos
I tried to edit my photos and keep it to the iPad but no success
    Don't have this option,,,,,

Go in and Back the iPad up to your computer and go iCloud.com on your computer. Then under the Photos part of the iCloud, turn off the Photo Stream and then it should let take the photos and import them into iPhoto on your computer.

  • HT201317 Photostream for photos taken with locked phone?

In this article, it says ALL photos will automatically be added to photostream when taken on the iOS device. But I think that's not true if you take photos with a locked phone (sliding up the camera icon on the password page instead of entering password)?

    Hi Stephen,
Yes I'm aware I need to connect to wifi to sync photostream. And when I do that some photos sync and some don't. It seems it's the photos taken with a locked phone that don't sync. Or maybe it's something else that just happen to occur at the same time, otherwise I can't understand why some sync and others don't. And there's no rhyme or reason, it's not the first or last that sync, it's some do and some don't "randomly".

  • HT201077 Can I share all my photos with my wife without having to constantly add photos to the shared photo stream?

My family has an imac where we have a family photo library in iphoto.  The iphoto library is under my wife's profile.  My wife and I each have an iphone 4S.  I'd like all the photos my wife and I take on our iphones to automatically upload to the iphoto library on my wife's imac account.  I've tried a few different ways of doing this and none of them are ideal.
My current solution works, but has some unwanted side effects.  Currently, my wife and I use the same main icloud account on our iphones.  This would be the perfect solution if it didn't take up the same icloud storage (among other issues).
It'd be nice if you could have 2 photo streams linked to the same iphoto library on a mac.  This way both my wife's photo stream and my photo stream would downloand to the same iphoto library.  It doesn't appear that iphoto for mac allows this.
I realize I could do this the old fashioned way (outside of photo stream).  But, it seems as though there should be a solution that works automatically.
Could there be a solution creating a shared photo stream on my iphone and sharing this photo stream with my wife?  I've looked into this but can't see how it would work automatically.  It looks like you have to manually add photos to a shared photo stream.  I'd like the shared photo stream to update itself to include all photos I take.
Does anybody have a simple solution for this problem?

There is not (yet) an easy solution to use an an iPhoto library with two separate My Photo streams.
It might be easier to take the family photo library out of your wife's account and move it to a shared location, so boh of you can maintain it, see:
iPhoto: Sharing libraries among multiple users
This way, both of you could download automatically to My Photo Straem and your private iPhoto Libary, remove the worst pictures, and then export only the best shots to the shared library. This will make the shared library smaller and at the same time create a backup of the best pictures, and it will ensure that your family will never see a potentially embarrassing photo. Sharing My Photo Stream is really dangerous, because each and any picture you take will be added the PhotoStream, before you can delete it.
As you may have seen at Apple's WWDC keynote presentation the new MacOS X Maverick will bring more sharing options for Photo Streams: Watch the keynote
You may want to wait for the next software generation before doing any major reorgansition.
    Regards
    Léonie
