Can't shuffle no more
Just updated to iTunes 9 and Front row will not shuffle. It returns a message that there is no music in my library. However, all the songs can be accessed via song, artist, album. etc... Tried a couple of restarts and have repaired permissions and deleted the front row plist file but no luck.
I use this feature a lot so any help gratefully received.

how can I download an more than one audio cd to itunes, scramble all and then transfer all back to a R/W cd?
Import the CDs to iTunes one at a time, following these instructions.
Once the tracks are in your iTunes library, put them into a playlist, and get them into the order you want. Or if you by "scramble" you mean a randomly shuffled order, use the crossing arrows at the lower left to do so.
When you are ready, insert a blank CD, use the command File > Burn Playlist to Disc, and create an audio CD. I strongly suggest using CD-Rs rather than CD-RWs, since the latter often have trouble in normal CD players. -
My ipod touch 4th gen won't "shuffle" any more!
Hi.......I need a bit of help here please! Its taken me ages to work out how to post on here.......so any answers in child like English would be much appreciated.
I am new to ipods, but have managed to get things working ok until recently. My problem appears to be that when I touch "Shuffle" once......or twice, it still only keeps playing the same song over and over again. I have tried doing all sorts of things, but my shuffle doesn't appear to want to shuffle any more.
Could someone just clarify to me please, am I right in thinking if I click on a certain playlist, then touch shuffle, it will just shuffle that particular play list?
The reason for asking is that I like to listen to music going to sleep, but just lately when the shuffle did work, it shuffled all the playlists so in the middle of nodding off it would suddenly blast out some disco music instead of the chosen "calm music". But now it just keeps playing the same song over and over and over............and I am pretty "clueless" as to what to do.

On the left hand side is a option for repeat. You want to make sure this icon is white (meaning it is set to Off). If it isn't tap it either one or two times to change its current setting.
The Shuffle option is on the right underneath the scrubber bar.

how can I shuffle a playlist in itunes 11 (really shuffle the songs in order to burn them on a cd - not to listen to them through the player).
Thanks!So far I have not found a way to shuffle pre-burn either...only to play.
It is another one of those lovely user-friendly features that doesn't seem to exist in iTunes 11...which seems to have been an update which was a step back for many loyal iTunes users. I sure wish I can use the previous, more intelligently designed version. -

You can only connect to one site at a time. And you need to edit files locally, save & then upload to the remote server. AFAIK, no single FTP app is capable of connecting to more than one server at a time. You might be able to do what you want with DW open and an additional 3rd party FTP client like Filezilla, each connecting to different servers.

When in Nike plus mode to work out and listen to musi, can you shuffle a particular playlist or does it shuffle your entire music collection on your iPod? All my other iPods do this and don't want to buy a new one if the 7th generation does the same?
To be more specific - create a playlist that has only your Christmas music on it, then create a Smart playlist that has everything you want from your playlist plus one more rule, where the playist is not your Christmas playlist. Play randomly from your new smart playlist and you will be good to go.
I have a playlist with some Christian music that I don't want to have on my normal playlist - at first, I tried to have two playlists (one with the Christian stuff and one with everything else), but this ended up being easier. -
Can not color label more than one file at a time
Hi,
I've had this problem since 10.6.6-ish, i can not color label more than one file at a time in the Finder.
Wether i select two, twenty or twohundred only one file gets color labeled.
It doesn't seem to matter if i assign a color label through the File menu or right click > label.
Figured a re-install might fix this but it hasn't (even a clean install without restoring any kind of backup).
Does anyone else have this issue and/or a fix for it?

You can't. There is no memory card. It uses flash memory that's soldered to the logic board. If you didn't back it up, your data is gone.

Nevermind, I got it working.
I ended up extracting the new vob within MPEG Streamclip, which gave me an m2v and an aiff audio. I multiplexed those two back together in FFMpegX which gave me a complete VIDEO_TS folder with BUP and IFO files I needed. -
My computer crashed. So does this mean I can not add any more music to my ipod from a different computer without all the songs being erased? The ipod works fine and now i got a new computer. So it seems like my only options are leaving my ipod in a state where i cant add anymore songs or erasing all my songs and trying to use my ipod from my new computer. Can someone please inform me on how to have my ipod work from a different computer, even if i have to erase my songs. Thanks.
Yes, if you choose the Erase and Sync option (or restore your iPod) you will be allowed to sync your iPod with the new computer.

How can you set up more than one device on iTunes? I have an iPad, iPod, itouch and iPhone. I don't want the same on all devices. I have all my music/videos on iTunes on my mac book pro. Can you set up separate folders for each device and drop in what ever music/videos from the main iTunes library?
In itunes it is called syncing and you can choose exactly what content to sync to all devices and it can be different for all of them

RegardsI have also noticed the same "problem". I do not fully understand the impact of using the same ID on multiple computers and devices if I want to keep them all in sync.
