Can't shut off my iphone 4s?

I tried all of the normal steps NO LUCK. It looks like it is shutting down then up pops the apple and it restarts. Suggestions??

What do you mean by normal steps? Try hard resetting the phone, hold the home button+Sleep/Wake button until you see the apple logo, see what happens

You can then try a forced restore. Restart your computer, launch iTunes, put the iPhone in the cradle and hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons for a long time (20 seconds). This puts the phone in Recovery mode, and it should prompt you to restore the phone.

You're saying this is happening on a Mac?? Find My iPhone is a feature of iOS devices, not Macs. If you are trying to change the iCloud ID on an iOS device, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. When you do this you may find that the password for your old ID isn't accepted. If this should happen, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, you need to temporarily recreate your old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. How can I shut off all of the pop-up windows for all the Firefox and Thunderbird updates?
Apparently now Mozilla creates new versions of their browser and email apps every two weeks instead of just creating updates... I'm tired of all of the pop-up requests for these constant installation requests and all the problems that the new version installations create... I just want to use the software and be left alone.
I can't find a way to make Firefox and Thunderbird stop with the pop-up requests for new installations... is there a way to do this or has Mozilla just got it rigged so one can't just use the software without re-installing a new version every two weeks and running in to new plugin issues and missing features every time?

you can disabel it from being activated form the lock screen and within apps. got to Settings> Control Center to find those controls. There is no way to disable Control Center from the activation while on the home screen
