Can't sign-in to Nokia Music Player

When I click on the "Store" tab in Nokia Music Player it now asks me to enter my location (United Kingdom) before taking me to the home page. The "Sign-in" option is absent from the homepage now, thus there is no way I can sign-in to license my tracks.

Hi Yahweh108
To resolve this please try the following:
1. Press F4, or go to Edit > Options
2. Change "Music store location" to anything other than the country you are in.
3. Let the new music store page load up.
4. Restart Nokia Music player
5. Go back to the options dialog, and select your correct location again.
6. Let the music store reload, and all should be well.

  • Default Nokia Music Player is not refreshing songs...

    HI,
I'm using Nokia C5-05.... Default Nokia Music Player is not refreshing songs from Memory Card... I tried removing the memory card and inserting again... Wen I click Refresh Library, its refreshing and showing as "0 files(s) added".... I don't understand why???  Pls help me....
Please check and update me regarding the necessary actions to be taken as soon as possible.....
    Thanks.

hae you checked via Nokia Suite on your PC if there are any firmware updates available for your handset? if there are any, please update to the latest version offered. failing that, can try re-installing the current firmware thru Nokia Suite.
might also pay to check the memory card via a memory card reader, to see if it is working fine or not.

  • Nokia Music Player update

Well, unlike a lot of people I succeeded to update the Nokia Ovi Player to Nokia Music Player. The thing is, it's not running anymore. After the update I can't run it. It keeps saying that "The NokiaMusicPlayer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". So, any thoughts? Thanks

Guys, your help is no longer necessary. All of a sudden (after rebooting my PC several times), the system ran a "Multimedia Common..." (or something like that), and after that the Nokia Music Player worked. Important thing: it happened after I go to the Nokia Music Store website. Coincidence or not...good luck!

  • Deleting 'ghost' tracks in Nokia Music Player soft...

Having just purchased an N8 to replace my ageing 5800, I am going to give Nokia Music Player another try (reluctantly....).
My issue is that I have tidied up my music folder on my PC, but NMP still shows tracks and albums that are no longer there.
I.e, I can see albums and tracks that are definitely not on my PC. These 'ghost' tracks show with a '!' in a triangle. And the 'properties' confirms that the track is not there.
Another example is where I have had the same album in various different folders. So I can see each track listed multiple times, all but the genuine one have the '!' showing.
Do how can I 'refresh' the NMP to remove these ghosts?
I could try deleting NMP from my PC and downloading-installing a fresh copy. But then I'd probably lose all of my playlists....?

yep nokia music player is not that great for putting your tracks into disc order. it put its in number or order.

  • Nokia Music Player feedback

Where can i post Nokia Music Player issues, problems, feedback, suggestions, etc...??????????

Okay, so it's been around more than a week since the release of Justin Bieber's next PYD which has yet not been updated in the store. I mean i would surely not like to spend money on a Music Player who doesn't upload latest songs in it including One Direction Midnight Memories album. I seriouslly expected more from u NOKIA

  • Nokia music player handset 6300

I recently bought a nokia 6300 handset. The music playe is not up to the mark.By searching in the internet for 3 days i finally found a java music player way better than nokia s.its called KD player and here is the link
    http://www.easter-eggs.net.ru/KDPlayer/EN_Versions.htm
This player has every thing but except one.it will not run in stand by mode.since its a series 40 platform only nokia player can do that.If the features of KD player are incorporated in nokia music player it would be really wonderful.
    why KD player???
it has shorcut keys like 5-play/pause
    7-shuffle
    9-repeat
    123...go to the playlist...2>>scroll up 3>>>scroll down
4>> previous song and skip backward if the button is held for 3 sec
6>>next song and skip backward if the button is held for 3 sec
and it also has cool feature of creating playlist...
i just hope these will be incorporated in nokia music player...

Is it a NEW problem? Have you tried contacting the Nokia Music 'SUPPORT' ?  BTW there are many threads ( some very old ones) on this Forum on this subject. Varius suggestions are provided there in.. You may search for 'Music download process failed to start' on the main page of the discussion board...

  • Nokia Music Player crash on start-up after upgrade...

I have upgraded Nokia Suite from Ovi Suite and found that the Ovi Player cannot start after the next restart. I have tried to upgrade the player to Nokia Music Player and had error during software download for multimedia common component. There is no problem using Nokia Suite. Can anyone help to troubleshoot what has gone wrong and where should I begin to get Ovi Player work?
I was a Nokia Music Unlimited user and has all my songs on the PC with Ovi Player can't start. The last crash I had has caused me to redownload some of the songs due to drm licensing problem. I hope the recommended suggestions would not cause me to loose the drm licenses again. thanks!

    Hi GoldenChylde,
Nokia Music is not a virus, as other users have found that sometimes their anti-virus software may cause conflicts (not only with Nokia software but other programs), as the AV program brings up the program as a false positive (i.e. incorrectly detects the program as being an invasive process that is seeking to damage the user's computer through installation/operation etc). Is impossible for all AV programs to have a database that knows to exclude Nokia programs, and the same goes for any other computer program out there.

  • Nokia Music Player has stopped working

I activated my unlimited subscription on this pc just day before yesterday and from today onwards, whenever i try to run desktop version of nokia music player it gives the above mentioned error.
Can it be resolved without uninstalling the software.
If I reinstall would this pc will become "unregistered pc" for my unlimited subscription

I'm using windows 8 and tried to debug the problem using visual studio 2010
It says the call stack location is
    > Nokia.Multimedia.Euphoria.Security.dll!1000a872()
when a unhandled win32 exception occurs and the error mentioned in subject appears.
Will it help , if i delete this dll file?

  • Nokia music player won,t load

My nokia music player has stopped working recently and gives the error mesage " Nokia music has encountered a problem and needs to close"  I have tried  downloading the latest software  but still get the same result .  I am using windows Xp and this has worked fine for 10 months. I would be grateful if anyone has a solution to this problem.  Thanks in anticipation.

I'm having a similar problem. Ovi Player reported a new version that transpires to be Nokia Music Player. I downloaded the appropriate software which include Components. Components appeared to install correctly, but the Nokia Music Player installation reports a problem when it is about 20% installed - I cannot use it, and I cannot get back to Ovi Player. I uninstalled Nokia Music Player, removed all the downloads and tried again - I even tried the USA version (I am in UK) and that did the same thing. Not sure how to undo the Components bit and re- install them in case the problem is there. Seems to be a problem in the Nokia Software house at the moment - I could not download two tracks from the Ovi store even though it charged me for them.
Later - I've managed to remove the Nokia Multimedia Common Components and am trying reinstalling them.
Even later - that worked, so I guess there was a problem with the Nokia Multimedia Common Components download and install first time.  I had to remove them both (Components and Music Player) using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.  I used Search to find all 'Nokia' folders and files, deleted all the ones modified on the day I downloaded them, and started again.  Success.  Except that both Ovi Player and Music Player seem to take forever to sign me in?  Is it relevant that the third download (which was successful) was Louis Armstrong singing "We have all the time in the World"?

  • Can not connect to the nokia music centre!!

So I have called nokia and they tell me that they have an issue!
Is everybody having this issue or is it just new accounts?
Possibly it has something to do with the new download available which allows some to break through the restrictions re copying and sharing? I have not done this - as i can not even login yet.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem and its really annoying im fed up with Nokia telling me they have an issue...ill give them an issue

  • Can't sign in to Nokia Account and sync favorites

I am trying to sync saved routes on here.com to my Lumia 920 phone, but I can’t sign in to Nokia Account, it says ’signing in’ but never ends… Any suggestions?

Not the solution about the 'signing in' issue but...You can't sync the 'Routes' from HERE.com on to your Nokia Lumia 920. It will only sync the 'Favourites' ..

  • Nokia music player stopped working

I have a Nokia 5500 sport and I have recently put a 2 Gb micro SD card in it. Before I had a 1 Gb micro SD and everything worked just fine. But since I put in the bigger card the music player stopped working. It just closes and does not start up.
If I look up the music files in the phones exporer I can start the music from their but I cant enter the library from the music player. Whats wrong? I tried to remove the memory card and then it worked. Is a 2 Gb micro SD card too big for the phone?

    Ahh Finally working

  • Questions about Nokia Music Player - "Most Played"...

    MY PHONE: NOKIA 5530 EM
View count on music, well i always like this function on music players in general.
But i don't really get nokia's one. Because i made some tests over the past months and i'm almost sure it isn't based on view count. Not only view count, at least.
    1) What is the "most played" playlist really based on?
2)Can i somehow, view/edit the view count, or what other setting that determines the "most played" playlist order?
3)Can i somehow edit this "most played" playlist?
    4) If i use PC Suite tranfer phone option, will it carry those auto playlists, view counts along with the rest of the transferred things?
I wanna know all that because i want to buy a n97, but want to keep my music counts.
If someone can answer this it would be great.
    Thanks
    Walter David

Personally at this stage when C7, E7 and N8 have all been announced and N97 has a **bleep** load of issues, I would dissuade you from the N97 and tell you to buy one of the 3 I mentioned.
Anyway, The music player on the N97 is exactly the same one on your 5530 (if you have v30 firmware). As far as I know, most played is based on how many times a music has played from top to finish. Furthermore on Ovi Suite, it is quite easy to just make your own playlist as opposed to relying on autoplaylists

  • Nokia Music Player sucks

It remove every cover art of a song it played, resulting blank cover art in iTunes. I have never seen a software suck like this.

Hey Yanglifu90, Welcome to the Nokia Forums!
If album art is missing in Nokia Ovi Player, it can be added on your PC manually in either of the following ways:
    1) To add an image that is stored on your PC, right click on the album in your music library in Nokia Ovi Player and select Edit album details > Album artwork > Add picture.
    2) To update album art through Ovi Music service, right click the track or album name in Nokia Ovi Player and select Get album artwork.
To attach album art on your mobile device, browse for the album or track in the mobile device music player, and select Options > Album art > Options > Change. This option is not available on all mobile devices.
If album art is missing in your mobile device and if there is no option to add/change it with music player, please, check that album art is available in Ovi Player. Then delete track from phone and import from Ovi Player again. Now the mobile device should display album art. If the album art still does not show on the device, try step 1 (adding the art manually from PC).
I hope this helps and please get back to me if you are still experiencing the problem!

  • Unable to sign in to Nokia Music

A few weeks ago I successfully installed Nokia music and registered Comes With Music using a pin provided with my brand new Nokia 5800.
For a while everything was hunkydory........until now
Now whenever I try to sign in to the Comes with Music part of Nokia Music I end up looking at a page which says "Sorry, the page you want has moved or does not exist"
    OK...........
It then suggests to click on a link provided to return to the homepage where I can download to my hearts content.........................for a price tho, of course.
So does anyone know a way out of this apparent dead end?

    Hi All,
I am experiencing the same problem as well. The error messages and problems I encountered are listed below:
    i) When clicked on "STORE" and "Sign In" tabs, the page does not load. Error message: "We are sorry, Nokia Music is currently unavailable, please try again later"
ii) When entering login details on licensing request window while playing newly downloaded songs:
       a) Error message: "Please disconnect your mobile device and try again" while there is NO mobile device being connected to PC!!
       b) Error message: "You need license for music playback, please sign in as a different user" while my account is active and I have not entered the wrong login details
       c) Error message: "License is needed for the media playback" while I have entered the correct login details
iii) Other licensing problem when clicking newly downloaded, never been played songs:
       a) Licensing request window DOES NOT pop up at all
       b) Licensing request window popped up but stall while loading
       c) Licensing request window loads slowly
Nokia Care has offered the following troubleshooting steps, not sure if it works for you but not for me:
"I'd greatly appreciate it if you could try uninstalling the Nokia Music application and then try re-installing it again on your PC. It is best to go through "Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Nokia Music" to completely uninstall the application. Thereafter, please restart your PC. Once that is done, you can visit the web link below to re-install the application on your PC:
    http://www.nokia.com.sg/get-support-and-software/download-software/nokia-music-support/compatibility...
Prior to downloading the Nokia Music application, please temporarily disable any firewall or anti-virus programs that you have on your PC. Once all is successfully done, please try using the Nokia Music application and monitor the issue.
You could also try the following steps:
    1) Clear the cache and temporary Internet files in Internet Explorer:
Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Delete cookies and delete files
    2) Change the security settings in your browser is set to Medium (assuming that you are using Internet Explorer, you can follow the steps below
Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Security tab > Default Level > Medium
During all the above steps, please ensure that you are still connected to the Internet. "
Nokia Care has also attributed the login failures to network congestion. As he did not elaborate more, I hope he is not referring to server not able to handle overwhelming request during peak hours as it shouldn't have heppend and they should upgrade the server for better stability and accessibility. They have even suggested to log into Nokia Music during non-peak or odd hours which is not a very good idea as it does not solve the root cause. I have tried to log in early in the morning but the result is intermittent.
