Can't sign in when ordering prints

When signing in to order prints it accepts the password but takes me to the screen to add a new account.
I can successfully log into all other apple programs such as itunes.

I've tried that and I still can't sign in when trying to install.   Although I can sign in when I go to the adobe website through Firefox without a problem, I'm having issues with Internet Explorer as it shows "can't display this page check that the website is correct", with certain websites eg: facebook, hotmail and my bank, so I don't know if this is an issue with signing in while trying to install.
Would it have been better to have purchased the disk from a store and installed from that?  If so, how do I get a refund from Adobe for the download purchase?

This is probably a dumb question, but I can't find an answer. How do I make the text on my calendar larger so I can actually read it when I print it out? I am using a MacBook.

Press "Command P" and when the Print dialogue box comes up, towards the bottom there is an option allowing you to choose the text size, i.e: small, med, large.
    Hope this helps,

  • Why does my iPhone say can not sign in when trying to download an app

Why does my iPhone 4 say can not sign in when trying to download an app

Perhaps the account information is incorrect. Make sure that you are using the proper App store credentials.
If you forgot your password, you can easily recover or reset it using iForgot. For security reasons, Apple cannot reset your password for you. To protect yourself against unauthorized purchases to your credit card, do not give out your password to anyone.
NOTE: If you attempt to sign in to the Apple Online Store numerous times with the wrong password, you will see the following error message: “This Apple ID has been disabled for security reasons." To reset your account, use iForgot.

  • RGB colors when ordering prints?

I've been working on a high sports team poster, designed in Photoshop Elements. I hope to get it printed through the iPhoto on-line service.
The background color was set in PSE by using the RGB values of the school colors. Will this information be used when it is printed? The red looks a bit pale on my inkjet printer sample and I was hoping that higher quality printers could take advantage of the info for more accurate color.

As long as the image file has the standard RGB color profile, the colors should be reproduced faithfully. I have PSE set to embed the sRGB IEC61966-2.1 color profile whenever saving a jpg file.
I've not ordered prints from Apple so can't attest to the accuracy of the color. However, if they are way off Apple has been good at making things right.

  • Maximum number of pictures when ordering prints??

I ordered prints last night -- from about 225 images. Some 4x6. Some 5x7. Etc. The upload was about 500MB. All was going well - until it got within 10mb of finishing - and showed that it had uploaded 224 of the 225 images. The blue bar was still doing its thing -- and the web connection was still live, which I checked by using Safari, etc.
So - I left it overnight -- figuring it was finalizing or something like that. I woke up to find the upload in the same exact position. 10MB and one image short of being done.
Is there a maximum number of photos you can upload to print?

What is the maixmum number of pictures you can use when ordering a book?
Depends on the theme you choose - see Liz Castro's page for examples of each theme and all of the layouts available for each theme - http://www.lizcastro.com/iphotobookthemes/
So if you chose the picture book theme and choose to have 16 photos per page you could have 1600 photos in a book
On the other hand if you chose the folio theme then you would be limited to 200 photos in a book
What is the maximum number of pages for each book you can have when ordering through Apple?
    50 sheets of paper - 100 pages

  • Error when ordering Prints

    Hi
When I try to order prints at the largest setting in Aperture, I often get a message stating my image or temp file is larger than 10mb so the order has to be cancelled.
I can't seem to process any prints.
Anyone else seen or resolved this?
    Also
If I'm going to export to order from another supplier other than Apple, what's the best file format to export in? I'm thinking tiff jpg or dng?
    Hope someone can help.
    Thanks
    Gavin

Second question first. It would be best if you checked with the printer regarding file requirements. Most on-line services will have there requirements listed somewhere on the web site. If not call them. Any good print service will e more then glad to discuss this before you send them work.
As for your first question, I never order prints from Apple but I would imagine that they to have file requirements listed somewhere on the web site. If its telling you that the file size limit is 10mb there isn't much you could do about it except resize your file. But 10mb seems like a low size limit are you sure your reading the message correctly?

  • Network error when ordering prints

I have been trying to order prints of over 1,000 of my photos and they appear to upload just fine and I am able to put in 1 4x6 on all photos. Then, it goes to a grey connecting line, which eventually turns blue. After awhile I get the network error message. I've tried several times over the last week to order the pictures and the same thing happens each time. Is there a limit to how many you can order at once? Do I need to split my order into two separate orders?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You very well may be getting timed out on the upload/order process. I'd try splitting the order in two and see if that will go thru unimpeded.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • How do you print in greyscale I can't find option when in print preview?

How do you print in greyscale from iMac desktop, I can't find greyscale when in options for print preview?

Please again in the print preview, the drivers are supplied by the printer mfg to Apple, if your printer offers that feature you may need to dig a bit for it.

  • Aperture won't let me log in when ordering prints. It only allows me to Create a New Account (which I already have one).

When I log in during the "order prints" sequence, it then pops up "Create a New Account" set of fields.  I tried filling those out with my existing account info, then it gets into a continuous loop with the server, probably confused because I already have that account.  I shut down Aperture and tried to order via iPhoto - no problem.

The difference between iPhoto and Aperture is, that iPhoto has its own setting for the country of the Print Products Store in the Perferences > Advanced Panel, but Aperture does not have this option. Aperture will connect to the Print Products Store according to the Language&Regions se settings in your System Preferences.
Edit your Billing and Delivery address on the page of the Apple Store:
Go to Apple's main page and click "Store", then "View account".
On the "Accounts" page edit your default addresses. Do not only view them, enter the information again, to make sure, that there are no invisible characters causing problems. Then click the shopping cart to the rift and enable Express Checkout.

  • Stuck on "Uploading Order..." when ordering prints

I'm trying to order prints through Aperture. These are about 330 4x6 prints. It completed the dialogue box where is prepares the photos in an hour or so, but it's now been over a day where it's stuck on "Uploading Order...". If I try to quit Aperture, I get the dialogue box "Your book order is not complete. The book is still being uploaded. Are you sure you want to cancel the upload?" I don't know why it's talking about a book. I've never made one before. Are there some steps to take to ensure photos upload better? These are all full resolution RAW images; overkill for 4x6 prints, but it was my understanding that the "Preparing photos" part optimizes the photos for transfer. Any ideas what I should do?

Tried 5 more times to no avail. I also realized that as it prepares my photos, it eats up about 50 GB of disk space. It's still there after quitting Aperture and the only way I can recover the space is by restarting the computer. I'm not sure where this file is kept as it's not in the Aperture Library or the caches folder. Also, several times as it was "uploading order", Aperture would simply quit with no dialogue box saying it unexpectedly quit.
So, I put my photos into iPhoto and ordered from there. Worked perfectly.

  • When ordering prints, can i comment on back of photo

    as with other services (Shutterfly)?
I always use Apple to print my photos, but the lack of this is a real pain. I send a bunch of photos to my family and they don't know what the heck they're lookin at.
Someone please tell me this option is hidden somewhere.
    Thanks!

Too bad - thanks for verification. Shutterfly.com let's you do this.
    From their Help:
"Please note: Only the description will appear on the back of a print. Descriptions are limited to 120 characters and will be displayed in the slide show and only the first 80 characters will be printed on 2 lines on the back of 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 prints. (Carriage returns will be ignored). "

  • HT1040 What color profile on my iMac is best to used when ordering prints from Apple?

I am accustom to printing my photographs.  After two disappointing HP B9180 printers, and way too much money in ink and paper, I am considering producing my prints primarily by ordering them through Apple Print Services.
This being said, what color profile should I use on my iMac to best match the color profile used by Apple Print Services?  Secondly, do I lose anything by editing my photos in PhotoShop, importing into iPhoto, and ordering through Apple?
    Thank you for any insight.

This might be of help to you:
Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.  3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements 9 the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
NOTE: If you want to use both iPhoto's editing mode and PS without having to go back and forth to the Preference pane, once you've selected PS as your editor of choice, reset the Preferences back to "Open in main window".  That will let you either edit in iPhoto (double click on the thumbnail) or in PS (Control-click on the thumbnail and seledt "Edit in external editor" in the Contextual menu).  This way you get the best of both worlds.
