Can't slide down to set cinema mode

Hi . I dont know how much time ago , but I noticed That I cant slide down to set cinema mode or similar.
The tactile works fine ( or is that I think) in other Situations, Because i can slide down perfectly, scrolling in the menu, etc. But when it is in the clock face and I try to slide down to set cinema mode or priority mode, etc. doesnt work . What can I do ? ------------ Buenas. An alternate method is Accessibility Settings when connected to iTunes. You should be able to turn it off there. I would also check out some of the answers listed to the right of this post and see if they can help.

Can we put RAC database in Archivelog mode without shutting down.
Currently our new production database (2 node RAC) is in no archive log mode, Need to enable archive log in the database...
I believe we need to set the cluster_database=false and then put the DB in archive log mode then we need to bounce the database to take effect...
Just curious to know in 11gR2 ...Can we put the RAC database in archive log mode without any downtime ...?

Even RAC or non-RAC, database should bounced and enable/disable archive log mode from mount status.

Z77A-GD65 - Secondary HDD won't spin down when set to AHCI mode

Hi, I have an issue with my secondary WD 1TB Caviar Blue drive which is used for Game installations, movies and music.
For some reason, when the Intel SATA controller is set to AHCI, no matter what's set in the Power Options under "Turn off hard disk after", it never spins down, it doesn't seem to affect it. I have absolutely made sure that no apps or processes are running from it. It only contains Games, Movies and Music.
I have even tried leaving the computer on overnight and accessed the disk on the morning and there is no spin up sound.
My board is an MSI Z77A-GD65, my friend, who has the exact same board and the exact dame drive as me doesn't experience this issue, on his computer, after inactivity, you access the drive and you can hear it spin up.
I moved the HDD to the external Asmedia SATA controller on the board and set it to IDE and it works perfectly.
So now there are several questions:
1. Why won't it spin down when set to AHCI mode?
2. Is it critical for a mechanical HDD to be set to AHCI if it mostly contains music, movies and game installations? Will I lose out on a lot of sped if I set it IDE?

I'm having a similiar issue. When I try to set ahci on the Asmedia controller (I've got a WD 1TB 3,0 connected to) my system does not boot up. I can only see a black screen.
Just saying that the WD HDD is only for data, music, etc. There isn't any SO running on it.

In Elements 5 I can no longer drop down menu for Blending modes

Something has broken my Elements 5 or is it me? I load a Jpeg make a copy, click on copy layer the blending mode writing goes from greyed out to normal. If I now click on the blending mode menu to drop it down or darken it so I can use the up/down keys to change modes nothing happens. I'm using Vista all updated and Elements 5.0.2. Tried repairing it to no avail. Any Ideas? Cheers Terry

Hi Trish, Thanks for your help. I tried what you said and it worked but if I then reload the program without pressing ctrl-alt-shift (so it now reads in the new Prefs file which it produced when it closed down) it's doesn't work again. I downloaded a trial of Elements 7 and that work OK and if I click on the Elements 5 prefs.psp Elements 7 loads and works OK as well. So I'm flommaxed as to what is happening. I reckon some update of Windows has broken it. Looks like I'll have to upgrade. Cheers Terry

Al that is left are the standard fixes:
- Reset the dock
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Can not pull down notification bar in PORTRAIT mode

I bought K900 from flipkart.com 2 months ago and everything was working ok. Now suddenly I have a problem with the notification bar; I can not pull down my notification bar. This problem started when I was using "GOOGLE+ app" and suddenly the notification bar automatically got pulled down; from that point I am unable to pull down my notification bar down. I have tried following ->
1) Disable google+ app, uninstall google+ uppdates
2) Restart phone normally and ALSO restarting the phone in safe mode.
3) clear cache using an app "App managet" and also clear ALL cache using the recovery (by pressing vol down and power button).
4) Factory reset
5) tried another lauchers : LauncherPro, Atom launcher
Has anyone faced this problem? There is an app on playstore "Drop down" which pulls down the notification bar. The touch sensors and also the display is working fine in the area of the notification bar (BUT I can not pull down by using fingers/swipe-down action). When the screen is in LANDSCAPE mode i.e. while playing a video using MXPlayer; the notification bar CAN BE PULLED DOWN, BUT CAN NOT in PORTRAIT mode.
I have also read on the internet that some people having samsung galaxy s3/s4 have also faced the same problem.
Can anybody suggest me to do something? Are my screen pixels/touch sensors dead on the top most row??

So yesterday, I took my Samsung SyncMaster 204T monitor to the local Apple retailer to try it out on an actual system. I specifically tried it out on the 24" iMac with the nVidia 7300GT graphics card, since that is the system I was interested in.
It turned out that this monitor works beautifully in portrait mode with the above system using Tiger 10.4.8.

Accidental damage isn't covered by the warranty (unless you are in the US and have AppleCare+ which I think covers 2 cases of damage for an excess). I don't know what country that you are in, but in the US the price for repair (i.e. replacement) for the iPad 3 is (from here) $299, and here in the UK (from here) £256.44 . Are you need to an Apple store that you could go into ?
