Can't sort song titles by clicking on title field column in MediaSource or Nomad explo

I am currently using Creative MediaSource application ver 2.02.06 for my Nomad Jukebox Zen Extra model DAP-HD00, 40 Gig. I currently upgraded to latest Nomad Explorer version 3.0.0 from prior version 3.00.8 and upgraded my driver from Ver .23.0 to Ver .30.03 both the latest for this player.
I am working from an Win XP SP2, Pent 4, 3 Ghz CPU, Gig RAM memory environment.
Has anyone of you run into this same/similar problem?
With my curremt version of "Creative MediaSource" S/W, clicking on the Title, artist column headingss or any other column does not sort alphabetically as should be the case particularly my titles when I am in the Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra "organizer" view. Nothing happens when I click on these column headings. Is this a Creative MediaSource application problem that can be fixed with upgrading to a higher version of S/W?
I am debating whether the latest upgrade to "Creative MediaSource" ver 2.03.29 is merited for the following reasons:
Its a huge download (Don?t have DSL because typically I don?t have needs to download anything that huge)</LI>
I already updated to the latest driver Ver .30.03 and the latest firmware Ver .20.08 and latest Nomad explorer Ver 3.0.0.</LI>
I noticed that the alphabetical sorting of titles did not work when I title clicked within the latest upgraded Nomad Explorer application which gives me little confidence that upgrading to the Creative MedoaSource application (Ver 2.03.29) will do anything for this problem.
Can anybody out there provide me with any helpful comments?

Hi Jim,
I tried both things suggested and neither worked. This just happened after updating.
Like thousands of others, I got an error message MSVCR80, and had to delete all Apple programs from my desktop and re-load iTunes. Since updating, nothing iTunes related has operated properly on my iPad, or Desktop.
Very frustrating. A service request to Apple results in a charge for service. Very unfair since it is their own update that is causing the issues.

How can I get song titles to appear in iTunes library when transferring songs from iPod to iTunes ?

My old computer crashed. Trying to recover music from iPod. Can transfer music, but not song titles. Titles appear in 4letter mpg formats. What am I doing wrong?

Provided the files were properly tagged then iTunes should pick up the data when the files are imported into the library. The main problem is usually any files in .wav format.

Can not get song titles

When I load a CD into Itunes, it searches for the song titles but comes back with "CDDB error HTTP processing error". I tried the fix suggested by Apple but no luck. Any ideas what I have to do? Running Window XP with Qwest DSL service.

Yes it happens with any CD. I have accessed Gracenote and I can find that they have the album on file. I also am using a router, Linksystem. I have turned off the firewall and that did not help.

Yes you can just blank them all out. Select a bunch of tracks, get info. and place a tick against the empty sort name box on the sorting tab to erase all the current data in those fields. Oops, forgot it doesn't quite work like that, however I wrote a script called ClearSortName which will do the trick for you.

How can I sort songs on my iPad by "most popular"

I am in the iTunes store from my iPad 2. I got the group I wanted and now just want to sort all their songs by "most popular". However, I am only able to sort each album this way.

Don't Worry, as long as your music is consolidated in your library, then your information (ie alb. art lyrics blah) will be saved! Just don't delete your music in your iTunes folder!

TS2972 I can see the song titles in itunes shared library on my new imac but songs will not play. I have a pc with wifi network that the main music library is on. tried saving songs from pc to an external drive then to new mac but thats not working eithe

attempted to transfer itunes music from pc to new imac. didn't work. apple suggest using sharing method. main library of music is on pc. did those steps and shared library shows up on mac but when you click on the song to play it doesn't play or maybe ther is no content? any suggestions?

I can import songs from CD to my ipod, and they will play fine. Why can I not access them on the itunes software? They appear in black text under "Library", but are grayed out whne I look at my ipod. I can not change song titles, etc. or create playlists.

My songs are in my iTunes library but the song titles do not show up on the songs list.

Audio CDs do NOT have info except for CD-TEXT, no matter which program you use.
The Redbook audio CD standard does not allow for anything except CD-TEXT.
iTunes will write CD-TEXT but it will not read CD-TEXT.
You can burn data CDs and all the info will be retained and can be played in iTunes.

Is it possible to sort songs after using iTunes Match?

When I used iTunes to sync my songs previously, everything's fine because I can do all in iTunes then press sync.
But with the use of iTunes Match, everything seems automatically done through the "cloud".
I can't even rearrange the order of my songs, like sorted by artists or names of the songs.
It's pretty a mess when viewing my playlist, the songs are disordered.
Is it the fact that we can't sort songs?

I didn't say "re-create" I said "restore from a backup." Restoring from a backup will place all the files just as they were right back where they need to be. This includes the .itl, .itdb ad .xml files iTunes needs to recognize that the files on the internal HDD are the same as the files in the cloud.
You do have a backup, don't you? If you don't then I strongly recommend you start backing up immediately.
If all else fails you can email iTunes Store support and ask them to reset your iTunes Match DB on the server. This will require your iTunes to go through the entire scan, match and upload process as if it were the first time.

Why cant i edit the song titles?

When they are greyed out, that usually means either itunes or your windows user ID doesn't have permission to change them.
Check windows 7 permissions on the entire itunes folder, and all its subfolders.

Don't worry about the article's title being about how to delete files. Getting the permissions right is the same process and this is a pretty easy explanation.
Restart itunes so it will read the new permissions, and see if you can edit the song titles.

The Report Title field does NOT get picked up from the template file. It is created by the Report Wizard. So what I would suggest is that you don't specify your title in the Report Wizard Style Tab.
Instead, include a boilerplate object in your template (probably in the Report margin area), and right or left-align it. Once you make your report using this template, you specify the Title manually in the Report paper layout editor, by editing this boilerplate object.

Thank you. I have heard of Logic Pro 7, but I have never personally used it. I'm still growing in the world of Composition, and I know that it is something I will be studying in one of my Computer Music classes coming up for my degree. I think it is something I will look into getting once I can justify the price of it. I guess for the time being, I will continue to play and grow in my ability to use and take advantage of GB, and then see what I can do about or with Logic Pro when I'm ready. The thought of spending $1000 for a program is hard to bite, because I've already spent a lot to produce my music, not only electronic music, but also chamber music and so on. I had no idea it would be so expensive to dive deep into the world of composition! lol.

Why can't I sort songs with !'s next to titles (meaning these songs don't exist in Library but actually do)? I really don't want to scroll through 5,000 titles to remove these items.
