Can't start Adobe Premiere Elements 13 video editor.
It says: "Adobe Premiere Elements 13 has stopped working" without additional details. It doesn't close, it is not frozen, but it does not work.
I tried Adobe Premiere Elements 12 (trial version) which had no problem at all on my PC. I'm using the 64 bit version on Windows 7. I've tried to re-start the pc, to uninstall PRE 12, but this does not work. I have access to the Organizer though. Has anyone manages to get PRE 13 installed?

Let us focus on Premiere Elements 13 Windows 7 64 bit computer.
Let go through the usual drill questions...
a. Does problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? Is your antivirus program McAfee?
b. Are you running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges and have also selected and applied Run
As Administrator to the desktop icon of the program?
c. Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer.
d. Can you open the program using the Adobe Premiere Elements.exe file instead of the Adobe Premiere Elements 13.exe?
See Local Disk C\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 13\
Please consider
a. Go to Control Panel/Programs and assure that Adobe Premiere Elements 12 and 13 are not showing as installed programs.
If they are, uninstall.
b. Do a free ccleaner run through (regular and registry parts) to get rid of any leftovers from incomplete installs or uninstalls.

c. Reinstall Premiere Elements 13 with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled.

We could get into video card/graphics card, etc, but your comments on your initial experience with the Premiere Elements 12 tryout
make me hesitate on exploring that aspect of the troubleshooting now.
Please review the above and then we can decide on the next course of action.
Contacting Adobe via its Adobe Chat is a possibility since you have a purchased version of the current version (13), but let us see
what we can do.

I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor software at Apple Store in May/11/2013.
I could use the product no more than 2 times because it started to have problems to open, since then I could not use anymore. In December, when I was trying to use the software again, I couldn't and started to call Apple and Adobe to try to solve my problems.
Apple Support advise me to uninstall my Operational System (@Mavericks) and to install back the older version @Mac_OS_X_Lion_10.7. I did that and Adobe didn't work again. IT downloaded to my computer, but it couldn't be opened. As you can see the print screens below.
After many tries going back and force to Adobe and Apple and now that the software is no longer available in Apple Store I am not sure why, I did not even had chance to try to reinstall and Apple said that they can't do anything. Also Adobe says that I can't get any help besides these forums because I have no Serial Number to provide (Apple never provided me this number).

SERIAL NUMBER FOR MY PRODUCT: The only document I have is the Invoice from Apple/iTunes Store (image below) for my Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor purchase, which I believe makes Apple responsible for my product as well. However, last time I talked to Apple, the advisor who spoke to me said that Apple could not do anything else, since the product was no longer available in their Store. Neversthless, Apple never provided me the serial number for the product, which I bought from Apple Store and downloaded directly to my computer. On the other side, all the times I called Adobe, the representatives could not attend me because I don't have the serial number to provide to it.
What is the present situation
a. Do you have Premiere Elements 11 Editor installation files saved to your computer?
Ans: It disappeared from Apple Store in my computer and from iTunes Store as well. However, the software was in my computer before as can be seen in the images below:
b. Is Premiere Elements 11 Editor currently installed on your computer?
Ans: It was installed in my computer when I bought it, and I did use it in 2 occasions. However, after I started to face the problem trying to open the software and use it, Apple advised me to change my Operational System from Mavericks to Mac OS X Lion 10.7 to be able to work with Adobe Premiere Elements 11, since it could be facing problems with Mavericks. After have installed Mac OS X Lion, I tried to install Adobe Premiere again, but now it is not even possible to do from the Apple Store.
c. If you went to http://www.adobe.com, signed in there with your Adobe ID and Password, and went to My Products, do you see your Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor listed there and does it include the serial number?
Ans: My Adobe ID doesn't show Adobe Premiere, so that's one more reason why I don't have the serial number for my product. The only document I have for it is the Apple Store invoice and through it I can't have other number besides the order # or invoice # from Apple.
d. Miscellaneous...Did you ever have QuickTime installed on your computer with the Adobe Premiere Elements 11 Editor?...Are your computer preferences and privileges OK?...What is your current computer operating system?
Ans: I used to have my Quick Time when I used Adobe Premiere in my computer. Since came back to Mac OS X Lion 10.7, many softwares were lost when the Operating System was changed.

Yes, you can use its Elements Organizer 13 to organize photos and do other things and is integrated with the Premiere Elements 13 Editor.

In the Project Assets of the Premiere Elements 13 Editor itself, there is a certain degree of organizing source media in the Expert workspace/Project Assets.
Do you currently have Premiere Elements 13? If not, you might consider download and installing the tryout from Adobe for explore its compatibility with your
computer environment and project goals. Be aware that there can be issues with the playback of some video files in the Elements Organizer 13 player.

Great that the Photoshop Elements 11 Editor from Mac App Store is working, but I am not sure how that was integrating with Premiere Elements 11 Editor or will interact with Premiere Elements 11 Mac if you can find the latter for purchase online from Amazon or other. (I realize that the Mac App Store products did not come with Elements Organizer 11; whereas the Premiere Elements 11 Mac does.)
If you want to add Premiere Elements 11 Mac to your computer, it might be a good idea to look at the tryout from the following web site, and then purchase from your selected vendor. The web site offering the 11 tryout does not sell the tryout as far as I have ever heard.

With this route you need to read and carryout carefully that web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" in order to avoid access denied messages.
When you purchased 11 Mac, you could even leave that tryout installed and just insert the serial number from your purchased 11 product in them to make

I can not download Adobe Premiere Elements 11 which I just paid for online. The Adobe website tells me I need Internet Explorer 4 or higher. I have version 10 IE. How do I get my download?
This question pops up frequently in these forums. It's a known issue with IE10 and Adobe's website.
The Adobe download manager seems to confuse IE10 for IE1 and thinks IE10 is out of date.
You can either use Compatibility View in IE10 and switch to IE9.

Adobe Premiere Elements 12 Editor asks for another keyword approval
I have yesterday purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 12 from an USA based online retailer. The installation was done with the correct key provided by the retailer. Since I am living in Germany, I have installed the program in German language.
The product appears also with the correct key in my Adobe account. (see photo)
Unfortunately I am always reminded by a PopUp that appears when opening the Premiere Elements Editor, saying that I must register the program within 7 days otherwise it will stop functioning. It has already started the countdown and displays that I have now only six days more left.
The PopUp also displays my correct Adobe-ID and informs me that it will check the serial number now. Unfortunately it will not proceed further but asks me to provide an internet connection which is ridiculous since I am continuously connected to the internet. (see photo)
I don't know why the Adobe system cannot access their server or could that be related to the situation that the product was purchased in the USA?
Does anybody know a solution for my problem otherwise I will not be able to use my program within next week?actll
Have you gone to Computer/Manager/Event Viewer/Windows Logs/Applications and looked for error entries that appear to be associated with this problem?
Did you purchase Photoshop Elements 12 as well as Premiere Elements 12, and does Photoshop Elements 12 Full Editor open whereas Premiere Elements 12 will not open to its Expert or Quick workspaces?
You have probably tried it, but can you open to the Premiere Elements workspaces from the Elements Organizer workspace?

Can't open Adobe Premiere Elements 9
I've had some problems with Adobe Premiere Elements 9 recently, and right now I'm not able to use it. I'm not sure what the problem is really or how to fix it so I'll just write down what has happened here and hopefully someone knows what to do.
A week or so ago my laptop started to crash repeatedly, but fortunately that was solved. But then I noticed that when I opened Adobe Premiere Elements, that's when it crashed and only then. It stopped crashing altogether except for when I opened this program (if it is of any importance I also tried opening Windows Movie Maker to edit there in the meantime but the same thing happened there, which seems strange and kinda random to me). I decided to get an antivirus software and install that and see if that took care of it, which I have now done. That didn't exactly take care of it though. The laptop did stop crashing when opening the Adobe software, but nothing happens once it's opened. The tabs on the top right are there but the whole program is just grey (where you would normally have the timeline on the bottom, video to the left, and the files etc. to the right) and nothing else comes up. I then tried to uninstall Adobe Premiere Elements 9 from my laptop altogether and then re-install it with the CD I still had from purchasing the laptop a couple of years ago. But after re-installing there is no change. Just a grey screen once again, except for the tabs and all that on the top. Now I'm not sure what else to try. How can I make Adobe Premiere Elements 9 run faster on my computer?
I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 running windows vista 32 bit, and recently adobe premiere elements 9 has been having really rough playback, meaning it will often freeze or skip many frames when I try to watch what I have edited. It also stops responding very often. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
Almost any graphics adapter will do fine in PE9... it is not until you get to Premiere Pro that the graphics card makes a difference
If you only have the usual one hard drive of a laptop, a 2nd drive will help
Trying to use only ONE Hard Drive for Video Editing
You are a music conductor, with a baton that you use to point to various parts of the orchestra... this is like Windows pointing to various parts of the hard drive to do Windows housekeeping or to load program segments for various functions
Now, at the same time and with the same hand... while still using the baton to conduct the orchestra... pick up a bow and play a fiddle... this would be doing something with your video file at the same time as all the other work
You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand
A computer is a LITTLE better, in that it can switch from one kind of task to another very quickly... but not quickly enough for EASY video editing
You need AT LEAST two hard drives (separate drives, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708?tstart=0 for more) with Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your boot drive, and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down by trying to do everything
I find that the three drives I use work very well for me, for editing AVCHD video... some people use a 4th drive, so video INPUT files are on drive three and all OUTPUT files are on drive four... I only bought a mid-tower case instead of a full tower case (my bad... but had to fit in the space available on my office desk!) so I use the three drives that will fit
Depending on your exact hardware (motherboard brand & model AND USB2 enclosure brand & model AND external hard drive brand & model) AND the type of video file, you may... or may NOT... be able to use an external USB2 hard drive for video editing

A USB3 hard drive connected to a motherboard with USB3 is supposed to be fast enough for video editing (I don't have such, so don't know) but eSata DOES have a fast enough data transfer for video editing... I have not used this eSata Dock... for reference only, YMMV and all the usual disclaimers

Can't launch Adobe Premiere Elements 12 anymore
I was using it for a few days without problems. Now I can open see the sign in page. After I sign in, it disappears. Nothing else.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? For now I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.

You cannot use Premiere Elements Mac project files on Premiere Elements Windows.
And, you cannot use Premiere Elements Windows project files on Premiere Elements Mac.
