Can't start iTunes!

Please help!!!
I can't start up my iTunes! Even when I start comes the following alert:
THE INITIALISING OF iTunes IS MALFUNCTION. - MISTAKE #-2093
PLEASE MAKE SURE, THAT QUICKTIME IS INSTALLED CORRECTLY ON THIS COMPUTER!
My answer is: Yes I think so! That's what I tested:
1. I deinstalled iTunes and QuickTime. Then I restarted my computer and reinstalled both. It doesn't work.
2. I did a System re-establishment with the "Windows System re-establishment"-Tool. Now it had to work correctly, because the time is turned back for computer... but it doesn't!!
3. I deinstalled iTunes and Quicktime manually. So I deleted the programms' folders and deleted the registrations. It also doesn't work!
Please help! What can I do? Nothing helps...
Thank you for tips!!
Greez

hi Dominik!
hmmm. i hope i can explain this for you. i think we've got a language barrier problem here.
i'm assuming that what you mean by "system re-establishment" is what i would call "system restore".
the following technique was originally developed to deal with additional complications caused by a system restore. see:

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

If the above doesn’t do the trick entirely, then use the instructions in the following as it applies to the version of Windows you are using:
HT1925: Removing and Reinstalling iTunes for Windows XP
HT1923: Removing and reinstalling iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8

  • Problem installing iTunes update: "Can't start" iTunes "because MSVCR80.dll is missing" from my computer. Please help!

Please help! I tried to update my iTunes as prompted, but it did not install correctly, and now I am getting the following message and do not know how to fix the problem:
"The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling this program to fix the problem."
Another window gives me this message:
"iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)"
BUT I AM AFRAID  TO REINSTALL iTUNES and lose my library! Would greatly appreciate learning how to resolve this porblem without losing my music!
    Cheers!

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

  • How do I deauthorize itunes if I can't start itunes

I need to reinstall Windows 7 because of a corrupted user profile.  Right how I cannot start iTunes on this computer, so I can't deauthorize in the normal way.  Is there some way to deauthorize all of my devices online?  Is there some way Apple can do this for me if I contact them?  If so, where would I send that request.  Thanks.

Never mind.  I installed iTunes on another computer and have it handled from there.  Thanks.

  • Can't Start Itunes after itunes 8.0 upgrade

I just installed Itunes 8.0, and whenever I launch the app it says "windows is installing itunes 8.0"
I dont get it. I tried it several times uninstall and reinstall, and the same thing happens. When I try to launch the program, it starts installing again, and I can never get past the installing page.
    What do i do?
    Thanks

Sometimes the following quick fix works.
Go to Program Files\iTunes and double click on iTunes.exe.
Does iTunes open normally if it does, then right click on iTunes.exe and select Send to>>Desktop (create short cut).
Hopefully this will create a short cut on your desktop that will allow you to open iTunes normally.

  • HT203175 I can not start itunes or in safe mode?

Itunes will not open.  I have tried in regular mode and in safe mode and I keep getting the same message.  I am running in windows xp.  I have tried following the troubleshooting tips but have gotten no farther.

Note that Install DVDs are model specific so you can only use one from a MBP that is the exact model as yours.  Otherwise the disk will not work.  Duplicate Leopard disks may be obtained from Apple Customer service.  You will have to provide them with the serial number of the MBP (on the bottom) and there is a charge.
Based on the symptoms that you describe, your internal HDD has failed and will have to be replaced.
    Ciao.

okay, in this context, that usually indicates a broken existing QT setup where the QT installation configuration information has been compromised.
    here's what we'll try first.
Download and install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility and use to to clear any existing QuickTime installation configuration information from the PC.
