Can't start lightroom cc trial on win 8.1

I have windows 8.1 x64 with the working LR 5.7
I tried to install Creative cloud and LR CC
If I start LR CC and click on continue trial, LR mostly immediately closes without any information or sometimes freezes.
If I try logout and login in CC, it does not help or CC freezes

I deleted content of this folders (I had to kill some adobe processes)
c:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
c:\ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore
and lightroom cc works

    Lightroom gives the following message: "Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview cache and needs to quit."  The program shuts itself down.  When I try to restart Lightroom, I get the same message.  How can I start lightroom?

  • Can't start Lightroom CC

    I have CC photographers plan and had installed Photoshop CC (2014) and Lightroom 5. Today I received updates for both Ps and Lr. Ps updated with no problem, but Lr has installed as a new app Lightroom CC and now there's no way to start it. In CC app I see two Lr applications (Screenshot by Lightshot). Lr5 starts with no problem, but Lr CC doesn't run. Tried to run .exe directly, but nothing happens. Restarted PC, but the same result. Running on Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit.
    Any help is welcome

    Hi, nothing still help me to start Lightroom CC. Other apps works fine (until I uninstall them)
    What I try to do:
    1) Log Out and back in to Cloud - NOT WORK
    2) Delete OOBE file from C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE - NOT WORK
    3) Uninstall ALL Adobe apps I used, and apply AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool. After that, I log in to CreativeCloud, download Creative Cloud app and then from APP I try to install Lightroom CC. - But Still NOT WORKING!!!!
    When I try to start Lightroom CC, nothing happened. No app open, no screen, absolutely nothing was happened.
    Anybody can help me please?

  • Can´t start Lightroom CC after upgrade

    Hi, I´ve just upgraded Lightroom 5.7 to Lightroom CC (6) via Creative Cloud. After the installation the program does not start. Nothing happens when I click on the program file. The old program, 5.7 starts.
    I have Windows 8.1 and I restarted Win after installation. I have allso reinstalled Creatvie Cloud.

  • Can't activate Lightroom from trial version after paying via the website.

    It's stunningly hard to activate a trial installation of Lightroom.  A month ago when I downloaded the software I thought it was possible to buy the software outright.  Now it seems to be leased annually.  And now I paid the first year's instalment and received the 'activation' email,  I click the cloud download box and see the trial version I already installed pop up asking for a serial number.  I don't have a serial number.  My Account information shows an order number but no more details - that'll be available "in 24 hours".
    So.  I paid,  but have no software and no service so far.  And Support doesn't have an email address...
    Windows 8,  Firefox browser.  Any suggestions gratefully received...

    with a cc subscriptionyou should have the cc desktop app.  sign out and then back in to that app using the same adobe id used to subscribe, Sign out, Sign in | Creative Cloud Desktop app
    then open lr.

  • Can't start Lightroom cc(2015) after installation

    Downloaded new version but it won't start.

    I did this, and lightroom finally started....then seemed to get into a battle with Windows (error message saying "Server is Busy" and would go no further.    I finally gave up, uninstalled LR CC, and LR 5, then tried to reinstall LR CC and now it starts the install, but won't go past 43% on the install (consistently does this) and hangs/locks up.

    Please check if you have Admin preivielges for the account you are currently logged in.
    You might want to right click the setup.exe file and select 'Run as Administrator' and check.

  • ThinkPad E545 - After Win 8.1 update: Can't start Dolby Audio ...

    I have just updated my ThinkPad E545 to Windows 8.1 today.  Every time after computer boots up, I get an Error message starting like "Dolby Advanced Audio - Can't start Dolby Audio. If this problem will stay restart the computer. I have Czech Wins that's why it should be little bit different. After restart the computer the note is there again. I found discussion where are helps like Uninstall Conexant, restart and then Install again. But the problem is still there. Maybe I do some mistake. Can anyone help me?

    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
    Your Dolby may not be synced with the Audio driver after the update,
       Since Audio driver may had been updated by the 8.1 but not the Dolby app.
    Here's what to do:
    Open Device Manager 
        Uninstall the Audio Device Under Audio inputs and outputs
                Then proceed to Control Panel / Programs / Uninstall a Program
                         Uninstall all Dolby Related programs
                                 Restart if Prompted
    Now install this software driver
     Conexant Audio Driver
    Now open Drive C: on the upper right hand side of the screen you will find a Search pane
         Type in "aa" and hit search
    You should find 1 of the result as dolby or if not post a screen shot of the results here
    If ever you found it install that and it should bring your dolby back

    I was recently asked to convert several APP-V 4.6 sequences to APP-V 5.0 SP2 sequences.  On a development workstation, I ran the Test-AppvLegacyPackage command against the APP-V 4.6 sequences to detect potential issues.  Next, I ran the
    ConvertFrom- AppvLegacyPackage command to create the APPV file for the APP-V 5 sequence. 
    I added the converted APP-V 5 sequence in Configuration Manager 2012 R2 as an APP-V deployment type.  For testing, I installed the Configuration Manager 2012 client on a test VM, installed Windows Management Framework 3.0 for PowerShell 3.0 support,
    and finally the APP-V 5.0 SP2 client.  I created a deployment to the test VM and after it installed, I got the following error on most of the sequences that I converted: "The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-debug-l1-1-1.dll is missing
    from your computer.  try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".
    I have very little application virtualization experience at this point so I do not know how to troubleshoot this issue.  Any help is appreciated.

    2. How where they sequenced?
    3. Where is that file coming from?
    4. Why do these applications require the file?
    5. Why is that file now missing?
    After answering these questions, finding a way forward will most likely be easier

  • Can't start RoboHelp5 after I used trial of RH6

    I installed the trial version of RH6 on my computer. (Before
    doing so, I made backups of my project, in case of non
    compatibility with RH5). After the trial period I decided not to
    buy it yet and uninstalled RH6, because I couldn't find important
    differences (at least not concerning the functions I'm using) and
    because the font problem (conversion from Arial to Times, even with
    the Adobe patch and after uninstalling alle security updates for
    Office) was the same with RH6.
    Now I can't start my projects at all. When I try to start the
    RH Explorer I get a message, that the registry AppPath can't be
    read. I uninstalled both: Office and RH completely, reinstalled
    Office 2003, then RoboHelp, but the same problem is appearing.
    Even the projects I saved as backup and that I never opened
    in RH6 don't work any more.
    Any idea what I can do? (can there be hidden elements of RH6
    which are not deleted automatically, when uninstalling with the
    Software menu in my control panel?)

    On my site there is a topic about installing and
    uninstalling. In it there is reference to an Adobe topic covering a
    full uninstall which does require some registry editing. That was
    written for X5 but I think it will cover RH6. I cannot guarantee
    that though.
    Make sure you create a System Restore point before you start
    playing with the registry and only do that if you feel confident.
    If not, enlist some help from IT or a developer.
