Can't start Mountain lion IOS download.

Hello everyone,
Each time I try to download mountain lion (on my iMac), I keep getting the message:
There has been an error,
My I.O.S. currently is:
iMac
21.5-inch, medio 2011
Software  Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53)
Please help me (: I would be very grateful (:

Your Mac qualifies for Mountain LIon >  Apple - Upgrade your Mac to OS X Mountain Lion.
Remove CCleaner from your Mac. Third party so called cleaning utilities are not necessary on a Mac and often cause more harm than good. Your Mac runs maintenance for you in the background.
Use this free utility to remove CCleaner >  Download AppCleaner for Mac - Uninstall your apps easily. MacUpdate.com
Then download and install the OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)
That reinstalls the App Store for you which may help.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed. It's ok to do this even though your Mac is already running v10.7.4.
Then try downloading Mountain Lion. If you still have problems, disble anti virus software and turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy then try again.

  • How can I buy Mountain Lion without download etc. Just associate with apple id to do reinstall on Mountain Lion Macbook

I am trying to reinstall a Macbook Pro that had previously been upgraded to Mountain Lion x by the old owner. When I try to reinstall I need to input an apple ID that has purchased Mountain Lion. My ID hasn't. How can I either revert back to the original OS or associate Lion with my apple ID. I have happy to pay the $19.95 just cannot find where.

You can purchase Mountain Lion using your Apple ID at the App Store. You cannot use the version installed by the old owner. In fact it should not have even been installed by the old owner when he sold it.
You can install Snow Leopard and update it to 10.6.8 in order to purchase Mountain Lion under your Apple ID.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

  • TS3925 Can I buy Mountain lion then download via internet

Trying to upgrade a late 2006 White 13 inch Macbook from OS X 10.6.8 to OS X 10.9.2.  This Macbook has 2 Gigs of memory, and new 350 gig hardrive.  I know I need Lion, Mountain Lion or Snow leapard to upgrade.  I want to download one of the mentioned OS from the Apple store, but not sure if I am able to do this.  Do not want to wait for the disc.  Can I do this or must I wait for the disc.  Thank you for any advice.

You have Snow Leopard already - that's 10.6. This is assuming your profile information is correct.
Your computer maxes out at OS X 10.7, Lion.
I would keep that machine on Snow Leopard unless you absolutely need to upgrade. Lion probably will not run well with only 2GB of RAM, and that computer can't go beyond 3GB total.
    Just some food for thought.

  • Can I get Mountain Lion without downloading it

Is Mountain Lion available in other forms than downloading it??

Search for something like "Mountain Lion install disc" and you will find ways of putting the installer on a double sided DVD or a USB stick (would nee about an 8Gb one).  Initially you download, then halt the installer when it starts up, follow a few steps and create a permanent copy of it on optical media or USB memory stick.

  • Mountain Lion is downloading, how can I tell where it is downloading to and how much has downloaded?

Mountain Lion is downloading, how can I tell where it is downloading to and how much has downloaded?

In the "purchases" tab in the App Store you'll see a progress report.
Also once it completes downloading the installer will auto-launch.
Once you get Mountain Lion installed, if you have the Downloads folder in your dock you will get a progress indicator in the dock while it's downloading :-)

  • Using Mountain Lion iOS and audio output will not change from internal speakers to AppleTV so that sound can come from TV speakers, why??

I am using Mountain Lion iOS and trying to connect my MacBook Pro to my plasma TV using AppleTV and AirPlay mirroring.     The video does just fine.     However, there is no audio coming from the TV.     After activating AirPlay I try to select Apple TV as the audio output in System Preferences and it highlights it but then immediately goes back to Internal Speakers and only has sound coming from the MacBook Pro..
    What's going wrong ?????
    AJ

Are you sure that WIFI network doesn't have an AppleTV on it?  Just because you don't own it doesn't mean there isn't one on that network.  The laptop or better said the OS cannot differentiate between an AppleTV that you own or not.  If it sees one on the network, it will show you one as being available.  The automatic reconnection is happening probably because the last time you streamed to an AppleTV, you didn't drop that connection before sleeping the computer or shutting down iTunes.

  • New Hard Drive in MacBook Pro Early 2011, can't reinstall Mountain Lion.

My computer started having issues for some reason, it would just restart randomly about every 5-30 minutes. Disk Utility said that the drive needed to be reformatted, so I went into Recovery mode and erased the Hard Drive and then tried to reinstall it and it crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to install it.
I will say this though, my computer has two hard drives instead of 1. I took out the optical drive and replaced it with a hard drive. For some reason the bootable drive was the optical, so I tried installing it on the main system drive. Well, I can't get Mountain Lion to install on either drive so I went and got a new one, but that one is having problems as well.
I took the computer into Simply Mac and left it with them to get an estimate on a trade in value and to see if they could Mountain Lion to install. Well they did something, because they got it installed, but my computer is still restarting quite often. I want to install it on the system drive (new hard drive) and then have the other drive for memory storage.
IF YOU HAVE ANY ANSWERS OR HELPS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ABSWER. I'll try my best to give you guys all the information you.
15.4 inch Early 2011 MacBook Pro
    2.2 GHz Quad Core i7
    16 gig Ram
SSHD 1 TB Hard Drive as main drive
5400 RPM 1 TH Hard Drive as optical drive
1 gig dedicated AMD RADEON (7850?)Graphics

What I am primarily interested in right now is how do I install Mountain Lion on the new Hard Drive. I don't have an Optical Drive in the computer because I put in another Hard Drive for more space in the computer.
I can't boot from an External Disc Drive, I can from a bootable USB drive, but it crashes everytime.
Even downloading from the Internet Recovery doesn't work. When it gets nearer to the end of the download, it says that there is 8000 more hours of download time, and then shortly after that it crashes back to the Main Recovery Screen. It won't install it on the new Hard Drive, this is what it does on the USB stick of Mountain Lion.
    Can anyone help me?

  • HT200027 I am still running Leopard Mac OS X 10.5.8.  How can I get Lion Mac OS X 10.6, so I can update to Mountain Lion?

I am still running Leopard Mac OS X 10.5.8.  How can I get Lion Mac OS X 10.6, so I can update to Mountain Lion?

    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
If you need to purchase Snow Leopard you can still purchase a copy from Apple's online store's telesales agents.[1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753) or Customer Service and Sales Support at 1-800-676-2775.] Ask for a Sales Representative.
Third-party sources for Snow Leopard are:
    Snow Leopard from Amazon.com
    Snow Leopard from eBay
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.
If you need to purchase Lion call 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. Ask for a Sales Representative. They will check your Apple ID, and email you a code and instructions.  The cost is $29.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download.
Be sure your computer meets the minimum requirements:
Apple - OS X Mountain Lion - Read the technical specifications.
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
    iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
