Can't start photo stream.
When trying to share to photo stream from iPhoto, it says I must start photo stream from Sys Preferences. I go there and it says I must sign into iCloud. I am already signed into iCloud and Photostream is checked, but still can't access it.
Log out of iCloud in the System/iCloud preference pane and disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane. Then log back in and re-enable, respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

Can't find photo stream on iPhoto
When I first had my iphone in September 2012, my photos were downloaded directly to my macbook through icloud. Now, I can't seem to see the photos I took on my phone on my computer. Does anyone know why it would stop working? Do I need to update iphoto?
Here's what you need to use iCloud and Photo Stream:
What do I need to use Photo Stream?
To use Photo Stream, including Shared Photo Streams, you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later
PC with Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.1 or later
You can still use Photo Stream without Shared Photo Streams if your devices meet these requirements:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
PC with Windows 7 or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel v2.0 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.0 or later
The above is from this Apple document: iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
If your MacBook meets these requirements then try the following:
Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

Can't enable photo stream, doesn't resond???
You are logged in to your iCloud account on your iMac, right? If so then disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

I installed the new Apple TV update and now I can't access photo stream. It tells me to accept the new Terms of Service BUT they never load on my iPad, iPhone or PC.

Can't cancel photo stream upload activity
I recently moved to Aperture and imported all my photos (27,000 of them). I then realised that with the default settings all these images were being uploaded to photo stream and then continually deleted from photo stream when it hit the 1000 max. Rather pointless and a large use of bandwidth. I have now turned off the "Automatic upload" preference:
but I still have a problem because the activity is still trying to complete.
I can see the Photo Stream Activity in the Activity window and can Pause it no problem.
But I can't cancel it! Clicking the Cancel Task button does nothing.
And if I restart Aperture the activity starts again automatically.
How can I cancel this activity?Try my app, it closes photostream until you re-open iPhoto

Can't activate Photo Stream on PC
So I have an iPhone 4, running iOS 5. I have downloaded iCloud control panel and I can't activate Photo Stream. This is what I get: http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/3097/icloude.png
How can I fix this?I have posted a fix that works for two issues:
You can't sign onto iCloud Control Panel; just hangs with a spinning progress wheel forever..
You CAN sign onto iCloud Control Panel, but things like photostream are greyed out
https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3811063?tstart=30
If you have iCloud control panel open, close it. Make sure its not even minimized on your system tray.
Copy this path to your clipboard: %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Preferences
Goto 'start -> run' (or click 'windows+r' hotkey)
Paste the path in the run box and hit enter
From the folder that is opened, rename 'MobileMeAccounts.plist' out of the way (or you can delete it if want..)
Restart iCloud control panel and try logging on again. MobileMeAccounts.plist is regenerated the next time you sign out from control panel.
Apparently MobileMeAccounts.plist is getting screwed up in a couple different ways and prevents this from working correctly. After you log on control panel again, photostream will not be greyed out. You will have to reselect your custom path you want to store your pictures unless you just wanted to stick with the default path control panel is set to.

Can I disable photo stream from select devices that are connected to my iTunes account?
Hello, I was wondering is there any way to do this because I have three iPads connected onto my account, one is in another country and one my parents own, but for my personal one, I would like to disable this feature so my pictures don't get uploaded. My parents like to see the photos being taken by family in another country and I would like those two devices connected only.
You can turn off photo stream on one device without effecting the others. If you want to keep the photo stream photos on the device you are going to turn it off on, you will need to same them to your camera roll before doing so. To do this open the my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll. Then go to Settings>iCloud>Photos and turn off My Photo Stream. This will delete the photo stream photos from this device, but not the others (and you already saved copies of these photos to your camera roll so they will still be on your device).
The other two iPads that are signed into your iCloud account with photo stream enabled will still be sharing the same photo stream but you will no longer see it, and your photos will no longer be added to the stream. They can still share photos with you by adding them to a shared stream and inviting you as a subscriber (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmc0cd7e99). -

Can I add photo stream albums to SkyDrive
Can I add photo stream albums to my SkyDrive albums?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photos in the camera roll are those which (in most cases) are taken on the device, the photostream album contains photos which have been synced from photostream in the cloud, which can include photos from your camera roll as well as from other devices using photostream. Photostream photos can be lower resolution than the same photos in the camera roll.
Photos in photostream can be edited and saved to other albums. -
Can't activate photo stream in iPhoto
Hi
It seems that I can't activate photo stream in iPhoto. When I try to click "Activate photo stream" in iPhoto > Settings > Photo Stream it uncheck itself right away. Realy frustrating. Anyone else having this problem?Jepp, same problem here.
Photo Stream enables/activates on both my iPhone and Macbook Air, but not on my iMac desktop. Enabling it in System and iPhoto Preferences is not possible ...
Very annoying.
Will check some other help forums too to see if a solution is available ...
Keep us posted anyone else who discovers a solution to the problem ... -
Can't send photo stream messages on whatsapp
Hi,
I can't send 'photo stream' photos on whatsapp however I'm able to send ones from the 'Camera Roll' I've double checked everything and in privacy and restrictions everything seems normal.
I've recently updated to the latest iOS.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
LewisHi,
I also contacted whatsapp directly in regards to this, seems like it's an APP issue from the response I got..

I have installed the iCloud Control Panel app for Win7 and I have an iPad2 with iOS5.01.
I am trying to sync pictures and on my PC's control panel app in the taskbar I have the message "Can't Update Photo Stream"
Any ideas?
I have logged out and in , turned off the iCloud for Photos on my iPad and PC and still the same.
Thanks
MarcDitto for my wife's PC. I uninstalled the iCloud control panel, rebooted, ran Apple's Software Update (which brings up the iCloud software for you to optionally download it), downloaded and reinstalled the iCloud control panel, and everything worked again. I've had to do this twice so far. It was working fine until Microsoft Software Update installed some patch on the 14th, and then it was no-go.
