I'm having the exact same problem as paint guy in this thread here:

If you haven't tried, delete Safari cookies and see if that makes a difference.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies. Delete all Twitter, Yahoo, and Google cookies.
Quit Safari (Command + Q) then relaunch Safari.
According to your profile you are running v10.6.4. If that's the case, click the Apple () menu (top left in your screen) Software Update ...
Could be a proxy preventing access via your browsers. Open System Preferences / Network. Select the Advanced tab. If any of the boxes are selected under: Select a protocol to configure; deselect the box then click OK, then restart your Mac.
Since multiple browsers are involved, could be a problem with the startup disk. Follow the instructions here. Using Disk Utility to Verify or Repair Disks

Unless you have either set as your home page in Safari preferences, then they will only open if you visit these sites, not on their own, so reset your home page or don't go to these two sites.

Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Mail then reselect it.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the accounts.

I have a macbook (late 2011). I have a yahoo and gmail act.'s configured wrong in mailbox. Every time I attempt to send, the email comes back stating that yahoo cannot send with the server. I have changed things around to no avail. Please advise.

It sounds like you're not able to send email from Yahoo or Gmail on your MacBook Pro.
There could be several causes of the behavior. I would start with the troubleshooting steps in the "Mail Connection Doctor shows one or more red dots in the account Status column" section of this article:

On the disappeared folders, try this first...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
On the screen issue, do you have System Preferences>Energy Saver>Sleep, set to Put Display to sleep in xx minutes?

I would really appreciate of someone comes with a solution for push notifications using yahoo and gmail on iPhone 5 with iOS 6.1.4.
I am missing option for push notifications in bough email accounts (yahoo and gmail).
I have read somewhere that it has been cut for the native companies. If this is the case then I am missing some of the most distinguished features on the iPhone because these are the email account I am regularly using.
I have tried with yahoo and gmail apps but it seems it is ot working for me well. I would rather have integrated email in the mail app.
Any comments, suggestions and informations will be very appreciated.

Gmail does not support push email in the native iOS mail app. I can't comment on Yahoo as I dumped them years ago because their servers were so unreliable.
If it makes you unhappy, contact Google and Yahoo. There's nothing anyone else can do about it.

TS4002 my mailboxes on my Mac are freaking out, I cannot shut them and they just keep the little wheel spinning. I am able to access my Yahoo and Gmail accounts via web browser but the mail system seems to be frozen.

I am having difficulty with my mail function on my MacBook Pro. The mail function is not shutting down and continues to try and access the mail accounts that I have set up in Yahoo and Gmail. Now I am unable to close the application. I forced a close last night when I powered down.
I can access my Gmail and Yahoo through web browsers.

Problem Sending e-mail from iPod Touch 4g through yahoo and gmail

The weird thing is, I get e-mail fine on my iPod from both yahoo and gmail, and send fine from one or two wifi networks, but can't send at all from one or two OTHER networks, even though the internet works fine on all of the networks I connect to, and I can perform other actions. Tried resetting my network settings, has not helped. Any ideas?

Sounds like the network's firewall or other security feature is blocking the ports used for sending the emails.
What type of neworks do not work? A businees network?

I tried to resync again, reopening the account but it appears an advise telling: the contact sync coulnd't not be done, please train again later. I tried later many times but I cant. I have just noticed that in both Yahoo and Gmail the drop and drag function for attachments has stopped working. Is this due to Firefox?

I am currently using Firefox 19. In the last week I have found that in both Yahoo and Gmail I am unable to attach files using drag and drop; I have not used drag and drop for a little while so I cannot say that it begun with a particular Firefox update. Unlike some users of FF16 I have no problem dragging tabs around in the browser. I know in the past certain issues with attachments have evidently been related to the browser and hence the reason I consider such a link now. I am using Windows XP SP3.

Thanks for your response, but remembering the cause of a previous attachent problem that many Firefox users were having at around the time of FF13 related to the network.http.spdy.enabled setting to 'true' I decided to check that setting again in about:config.
To fix my problem at the time I, like others, changed the SPDY setting from 'true' to 'false' and this I found had not been automatically changed with later versions of FF. I did find, however, that there were now two other SPDY settings for v2 and v3, which were set to 'true'. In case these were conflicting with the first setting on 'false' I changed this latter to 'true' also. This done I returned to Gmail and tried to attach some files, firstly in the normal way by clicking on attachments and selecting a file from the dialogue box, which worked (previously on 'true' this had not worked); secondly, I tried attaching using drag & drop, which now worked. I also found that drag & drop worked in Yahoo too.
So, could a conflict between the SPDY versions have been the cause of the problem when network.http.spdy.enabled was set to 'false'?
If the problem occurs again I will let you know. (I have attached a snapshot of the current settings.)
