Can't start up FCPX. Sending Crash Report
When I open up the application it goes through all the EHD's reading the Events and Projects on each, and when it gets to this one below that I've taken a picture of it just seems to get tied up for some reason, and never opens up all the way. If I unplug a certain EHD, and only that particular one, FCPX will open up and work fine. As soon as I plug the unmounted, or ejected EHD in again I get this same picture below when I try to start up the application.

Well I've had to resort to my ipad to send this reply/request because I haven't been able to get the internet to work since I did update on my Macbook and iMac today.
With regards to the problematic drive:
1. If I turn if off or on
2. Eject and then unplug or plugin
3. Mount or Unmount in Disk Utility
4. Repair Disk
None of the above solve the problem of FCPX crashing if it's already running, or FCPX freezing when I am trying to open the application.
Based on your screen shot above I know what "file" your talking about now. There is one in Events and Projects, but I'm still unclear with your answer "have you tried the event backup?" Are you suggesting that I delete it? I haven't spent a great amount of time, but I checked some areas in the Index in your book, and I haven't found anything there yet. I typed Backup in the Help Menu of Final Cut, and it reminded me that this problem started when I lost power and I was in the process of "Duplicating Project."
Thanks for your response to date. I appreciate the suggestions. I'll try to research more in the Help Menu when/if I get my internet back. After downloading a couple more ball games recorded in HD 1920 x 1080 AVCHD etc., etc., and optimizing the media and so forth FCPX fired right up today with no problems until I tried to add in that last problematic EHD the Pegasus 6TB that is almost completely full of edited HD footage.

Since then, every web page that makes use of the Adobe Flash plugin shows me grey windows with the message "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed".
When I follow links telling me I can find out more I am taken to a Firefox Help page that shows an example of the same grey window with the same message. But there is a difference: directly under the "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed" message is shown a another message that says: "Send crash report". The Help page instructs me to click on that message because it is intended to be a link.
Unfortunately, on all the grey windows displayed to me on any site where this problem arises, no such message: "Send crash report" is present. So how can I send a crash report?!You have the Ubuntu-specific build of Firefox - released as a package in the Ubuntu repository - and that has been built without including the ''crash reporter''.
(So-called 'contributed builds' usually lack the updater - in the help menu - too, because they have their own updater.) -
4.0b6pre on linux started crashing on https on 9/12 & unable to send crash reports?

For some reason, clicking on 'send crash report' did nothing, so I'm reporting it here - probably not the most appropriate place, so for future reference is there an alternative method of sending a crash report please?
Having said that, I've just managed to send the report - presumably the report sending mechanism was going slow.

Firefox crashes upon open - won't send crash report; crash report info summarized below
I have one computer that crash every time I start Firefox. Ocassionally the firefox window will appear for less than a second and then the Crash Report Window shows up; most times it goes right to Crash Report Window. Then it is for some reason unable to send the crash repor; it keeps looping back to the crash report. I've checked my modem and router are operating correctly; I have another computer that's working fine. I've run scan for Trojans, viruses and still see the problem. Any help would be very much appreciated as I'm stuck at this point. For what it's worth, Internet Explorer has the same problem, crashing upon opening.

Deleted my internet set up and then added it back as a new connection (hope that made sense), so I don't know who to be asking this question of, but hoping you may know the answer why I can't send the crash report. Note that your crashes are likely a problem with Trusteer Report software (RapportTanzanxx.DLL).
Make sure that you have the latest updates of your Trusteer software.

Do you have DELL Face Recognition ?
That software has been reported to cause this issue.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Since I downloading the new FireFox, it crashes every hour or so, then will keep crashing when I try restart it. Only restarting my computer helps, but then it will crash again. 90% of the time, when sending crash report(s), a mesage that there was a problem sending it appears. Please fix the problem and/or tell me what I can do.

Firefox crashes when I click help > troubleshoot information. It's also not sending crash reports. I really can't be any more specific or straightforward than I am being right now. I have reinstalled multiple times. I've tried the same thing in safe mode. Cache and history and cookies are cleared. Hardware Acceleration is disabled. All of it.
Computer's clean, and this is my second clean uninstall and re-install of Firefox tonight.
I'm not having this problem with Chrome. -
CrashReporter - how to get SL Server to send crash reports to Apple?
When applications run by users on client machines crash, the system typically offers to send crash reports to Apple. I'd like the same thing for my SL Server where I have slapd crashing periodically - does anyone know how to achieve this?
There's no option to automatically upload such reports.
As mentioned in this technote on the issue:
In addition, if the program that crashed is running as a logged in GUI user, CrashReporter will present the user with a dialog asking them whether they want to submit a bug report to Apple
Since daemon processes such as slapd aren't likely to run as the GUI user, CrashReporter won't offer to upload them.

After installation of the 9iAS, can't start the web site of
Reports Services
and Form Services from the URL listed in the postinstallation
guide using
default port no 1950. The dev60html and devdem60/demo
directories are not

Dumb question : is one of your server listening on port 7001 ? If not, should it ?
What is the expected behavior ? A managed trying to connect to the admin server ?
Check the value for ADMIN_URL value, set in the startManagedServer.sh or cmd.

Every day now my computer freezes or just goes down because of Adobe and i know it is cause it says adobe has crashed send crash report..
