Can't "stretch" track, this can't edit

Hi,
I'm using Garageband 2.0.2.
I've imported an AIF file to a track.
Now, normally the track would be a looooong box with the jagged line of the audio in it.
Instead, I'm getting a little box in the track area -- less than 1/4 inch long.
I can play the entire track, even though it looks like there's nothing in it.
But I can't edit it.

Any ideas on how I can "stretch out" this audio track, so I can edit it, would be much appreciated.

expand your time line out to make that tiny region larger, than you'll have a better idea as to what that is.

Due to year long problems with my Mac, Apple replaced it with a brand new one but it came with the updated Garageband '11 with Flex Time. I currently have a podcast and am over a month behind and because I can't figure out this new audio/flex time edit thing. Can't edit tracks after transferring iTunes library.

Hi,
I've just bought a new MacBook Pro, and wanted to transfer all of my music and photos to it from my current iMac. I went about this by copying the "iTunes Music" folder in the "Music" section of my user, along with the extra files like "iTunes Library" and "iTunes Library Extra". I did this over a wireless network and it took an age since my library is about 35GB.
I put the folders and files in the same place they were on my iMac on my MacBook Pro. I booted up iTunes and it worked fine, my library looks exactly the same as it did on my iMac. However, I can't edit any of the track information or even add new album art to existing tracks. I thought I might need to change the permissions of the new tracks as they said 'Read only'. But after changing a few to 'Read & Write' (a long process), there has been no change.
Can anybody offer any insight into this problem? My iTunes Library is very important to me!!

Every file in the massive "iTunes Music" folder was set to 'Read only'. I went and changed a few to 'Read & Write', but when I found those songs in the library, they still couldn't be edited. To go through the entire folder and change each file to 'Read & Write' will take forever! And I'm not convinced that will fix the problem since it hasn't worked for individual tracks.
Any other suggestions?

How exactly are you doing this?
When I cut out a part of an audio region, then drag the remaining parts together, so they are touching, the track will skip the cut out section when playing the file. Also, if I select the remaining parts of the region and use the command "Edit > join regions". This will create a new audio file with the cut out part deleted.

Acrobat 9 (Mac) can't edit this particular interactive pdf. Why not?

I sent a Word doc off to someone to get him to make an interactive pdf form, checkboxes etc. My caveat was that I had to be able to edit the pdf on my Mac with my version of Acrobat (9.0). ...And guess what. I can't edit it.
Everything works as it should, except for the fact that Acrobat doesn't offer me the option of adding or editing fields in the form. I suspect he used a PC and that this might be a factor....
And yet I've had other people help me out with forms in the not too distant past, and they used PCs, and I never had any trouble.
Has anyone had experience with something like this? Is there a workaround for it? I absolutely need to be able to edit this using my computer.

Some possibilities, all of which will prevent the document from being edited in Acrobat:
1. The form was created with LiveCycle Designer. Such PDFs cannot be edited with Acrobat. You can check by selecting: File > Properties > Description > PDF producer
2. The file has some security restrictions set. You can check by selecting: File > Properties > Security
3. The file was Reader-enabled. You can check as with #2 above.

Tap and hold on any message in the thread. Tap "More" in the pop up menu. Select the message(s) you want to delete. Tap the trash can in the lower left corner.

Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

If the form was created using LCD then it can only be edited there. This
application used to be bundled with Acrobat Pro, but that's no longer the
case. So if you want to edit this file then you need to purchase it, yes.

Contacts are synced with a compatible programme in the computer; in the iCloud or with Yahoo and Google Mail. You can directly "edit" a contact on the phone and/or within the programme that you are syncing your contacts with.
Have you configured/setup mails on your iPhone? If yes, check the contents of the mail account(s) individually. (including iCloud) from SETTINGS - MAILS, CONTACTS, CALENDARS
"Contacts" if chosen from the mail account (s) would add email addresses to your contacts.

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. You might be able to use the newest adobe reader program/application for that.
You would have to save your pdf out of photoshop cs3 without any text and then add the text to the pdf in adobe reader.
The text added in adobe reader can't be edited in photoshop, so the other people would have to adobe reader or acrobat to edit the text.

Please help! I am trying to make a Christian calendar and entered text on to my background layer and can not edit this. I have tried to duplicate the background layer so it is not locked but I still can not edit this text. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The text should be on its own layer. If so, you can delete the layer and start over.
If you have flattened the image layers, open the undo history palette, and go back to the state prior to flattening.
If you saved the original file as .PSD, then the layer structure should remain intact for further refinement in a subsequent session.
